Phone covers and battery chargers are some of things that can be found. The shop can be found right opposite the Town bus station on St. Michael Street and it is pretty easy to find. U Talk Fone's also sell video games although you won't find many as you would in say for instance Gamestation or Game. I know some of my friends who have had their phones repaired at U Talk Fone's and they have said they would go their again if their phone needed repairing. Staff are friendly but to be honest I would be more comfortable going to a phone company store (e.g. Orange, T-Mobile) rather than a shop like U Talk Fone's.

Worst phone repair shop I could have been to, my iPhone 4s had a screen replacement at this shop…read more It cost me £30 which I will never see again. The replacement was very poor, after having my phone back I checked it over to find a grey downed screen, the wrong fitting button, the speaker cover missing and my signal dropping completely - my phone was even struggling to connect to any network. I went straight back into the shop and was waved off immediately, the repair is fine, the button will adjust, the cover isn't needed and to access my service I had to connect it to my laptop. That was all a complete lie just to get me out of the shop, I left and phoned my dad we went in the next day. Was told the repair was wrong and they would redo it free of charge, we were pleased with this so the day after me and my friend went in and again we were told to leave, the phone repair was fine. Needless to say I haven't been back, after getting my phone repaired by someone who knew what they were doing we found out my aerial was bent out of shape, the screen was not genuine, the cover was just not put on and was still attached to the screen, the button was an iPad button and best of all screws were missing, fakes and my screen was being held in by two screws (out of four), one fake and one real. When I first entered the shop I was told that I was not allowed to wait within the shop, after arguing I was told that my phone would be taken into the back to be repaired, after passing the shop twenty minutes later there was my phone being repaired on the counter as they sat and chatted to another customer. I went in and was immediately told to leave and if I stayed the problems to my phone would be my own fault. The shop is incredibly rude and I could not believe the rudeness I encountered in there, I feel it was because I was a younger female they tried to take advantage of me by exploiting that I would not know much about repairs. Save to say I will never return and I warn anyone that ever goes near the shop.

It's quite a decent shop to be fair and they have what you need in there for most phone extras. It's a decent size store so it has a fairly good number of items for sale and the great thing is that their prices are really competitive. I last went in this shop to have a look at their range of iPhone cases for my iPhone 4s. They didn't have what I was looking for at the time but I did get a chance to have a look at what other bits and bobs they have in there. They are pretty well stocked up on mobile phone sim cards, so if you're ever looking to purchase a new sim card for your phone for a cheap price; try looking in Revive. It's also a convenient store because it's located near to the main town centre; so it's not a difficult place to find. What's also good is that the staff in Revivie know about mobile phones and electronic items that they can offer you a hand if you are having problems looking for what you want.

All i wanted was speakers man, every shop up the soho road seems to have thrown quality control out…read morethe window, one electric store i went in just sold ceramic plates and wheel barrows. All i want are speakers. Going in here i knew i had found my place, the shop keeper next door looked at me like i was an alien so like hell am i giving him any cash money. The selection of speakers in Shad's were great, but they mainly stocked mobile phones and spare computer parts. There was a jam packed internet cafe at the back of the shop full of kids checking Facebook. Not sure of the costs but i imagine doing anything but quickly checking your emails or social networks would be difficult as the noise level was high. They had the speakers i wanted at a price i was happy with but offerent no warranty, like i care? im never going back here again anyway.

You'd…read morethink it would be easy to find such a thing amongst the plethora of weird and random shops here, many dedicated to electrical items, but no; not so easy. After visiting five or six shops, including one which also sold furry blankets, cots and LED religious paraphernalia, I spotted Shad and we ran in out of the rain to see what they had in stock. After coming from the store next door where the young guy didn't understand a word we said and seemed really nervous, it was refreshing to be greeted warmly by the assistant (even though he blantantly had a sales spiel that would give any Turkish market trader a run for his money). The assistant at Shad was clearly on the charm offensive and eager to sell. He had lots in stock; all graded items such as mobile phones, hi-fis, speakers, watches and even an Internet cafe at the back. He showed us some great little speakers for £20 but refused to give us any kind of warranty. That's right - no returns or refunds at all. Hardly fills you with confidence in your purchase does it? We bought the speakers regardless after testing them and vowed never to return to Soho Road.
