Went in there with a question about my phone not working, 1 member of staff on the shop floor, 5 waiting customers. Waited and waited and waited. After maybe 15 minutes 2 staff members wandered out from the back room talking to each other about the latest reality TV show, eventually they noticed people were trying to get their attention. Approx 20 minutes after entering the shop I was attended to by a surly young man who took my phone from me and instructed me to return in about 30 mins.
Returned 45 mins later, again only 1 staff member and 5 or 6 waiting. Eventually staff members began to file out of the back room and I was able to ask one of them for my phone back. Gave it a very quick test to see if it still worked and left quickly as I was by now running late.
When I got home several hours later I was able to inspect my phone properly and found that in the course of doing a data flush, all download apps and account info had been flushed out but not reinstalled as the staff member had promised. Rang to ask how to reinstall all missing data and just got an answering machine, left a message and to date they still have not replied.
I stopped my contract with Orange because of the atrocious service by the staff at the Telford shop and at the call centres. I subscribed to T Mobile, who were excellent. Now I find they have amalgamated and it appears all the old difficulties in dealing with Orange are still evident. Will not be renewing my contract again, same old poor service by understaffed and poorly trained organisation. read more
