Once we were seated, we were greeted by a friendly waiter named Adam. While the menu was all in German, Adam very patiently explained all of the different dishes on the menu to us. We decided on ordering the champagne fondue and herb fondue, which both serve two people. The food came pretty quickly and was served with bread and potatoes. We ordered the two fondue pots for four people, but in hindsight, it was more than enough. Both fondues were very good; however, I prefer the champagne option as it was slightly less salty. I would still recommend both these options and thought the fondue was excellent. The texture and consistency was very smooth and did not feel too heavy. Overall, I had a great experience here. The one note that I will make about the place is that it was a little on the pricier side, but that is to be expected. I would definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant of you are in Thun for the day.

Walked to the Raclette Factory from our hotel. Sat at a community table with a family from Argentina. They were so sweet. Their eleven year old was so animated and his parents were the sweetest. Fun to talk to them about travel, our mutual love of rollercoasters and science and the recent World Cup. The son loves Lamine Yamal. The dad is Team Messi. Our waiter, Flavio, made the evening our best choice. We really wanted to try a lot of different cheese flavors and combinations, so we had the Raclette All You Can Eat. Choose a couple of cheeses. Plain. Smoke. Garlic. Chili. White Wine. Red Wine. Blue cheese. Goat. Sheep. Truffle. Add toppings. It comes with pickles and pearl onions. Pickles and melted Raclette cheese. Unbelievably delicious. Add more toppings. Small potatoes, bread or mashed potatoes. So good! Started with the truffle and the red wine with the works, potatoes, mashed potatoes and cubes of bread. The truffle was my favorite of the cheeses and both the mashed potatoes and small potatoes were delicious. I think at the end we tried all of the cheeses but the original. We were stuffed!! I wished the old steamer could tell us its tales. The service was exceptional (yes, they gave us, without our having to ask, menus in English when we were seated) and the food (I'm not a foody by any means) was outstanding. I had the stuffed chicken breast (stuffed with pistachios and apricots, I think). It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The accompanying vegetable based sides were out of this world. I would definitlely recommend William Tell. If I'm ever lucky enough to visit Lucerne again, I would DEFINITELY eat here again. However, I'd make a reservation first.
