They told me my insurance doesn't pay for filling. I call my insurance co. to verify my coverage and was told that I am covered for filling with a $25. copayment. I called VIP for an explanation as to why they told me my insurance would not pay for the filling. I am told I did not get a filling (which I requested), but instead I got what is called a "build up". So my request for extraction if the tooth couldn't be filled was ignored and they did what they wanted to do and bill me for the complete procedure. If I am paying for a service, I expect that exact service. I am very angry.

I was first introduced to Clearwater Family Dental when I brought my mother (75, living with dementia) and my 95-year-old stepfather. The entire team made them feel safe, respected, and comfortable, and both were extremely pleased with their extractions and updated dentures. That experience alone spoke volumes. After that, I decided to become a patient myself--and I'm so grateful I did. My experience here has been night and day compared to previous dental offices. However, a year or later I had another episode. That's when I decided to get rid of the root canals. I was super scared. The procedure went very well and smooth with no issues. My lung capacity increased right away. I was finally able to breathe with the full lungs. I told everyone about it. It happened within an hour after my root canals were taken out. He kept asking my dad if he was satisfied and when my dad said no Dr Christensen would just keep making minor adjustments until my dad was happy with the results. The entire staff is friendly and overall it was just a great experience. It is such a relief to finally find a dentist we can trust and won't try to sell extra services just to make a buck. Following completion of the crown I went to another Dental Business as the crown was not feeling right. The new dentist took X-rays and scans and showed me how the crown was not sealed properly. This resulted in a new crown being placed and of course the situation cost me double the money.
