I was quoted $72.70 for rabies, distemper, and parvo vaccines, and my bill came out to be $223 per dog. I will not be coming back.

I just toured this place and I gotta say that it's pretty awesome. Beach Dog, LLC in Gulf Shores, AL, is a fantastic spot for pet owners looking for quality care and a welcoming environment for their furry friends. Located at 1556 Gulf Shores Parkway, this pet service offers a range of options, including DIY dog wash stations, drop-off dog baths, daycare, boarding, and personalized training services. As a dog owner visiting the Gulf Coast, I found their concierge-style care particularly impressive, catering to both locals and vacationers in areas like Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan. The DIY wash stations are very nice, they're very clean, well-equipped, and user-friendly, with everything you need to give your pup a thorough scrub without the mess at home including the essentials, including premium grooming tools, shampoos, and conditioners. Indeed there's actually a selection of professional shampoos, conditioners, paw balm, ear cleansers, high-speed dryers, towels, and more. Aprons are also available to keep your clothes dry, and you can simply toss everything into a laundry basket when you're done! Nice! You can also drop them off at your appointment time, and in 1-2 hours, your pet will be fresh and ready for pick-up. Indeed, for those who prefer a hands-off approach, the drop-off bath service is convenient and reasonably priced. You can leaving my dog fresh and happy. She was quick to respond, very detailed and helpful over the phone. We did not have time to do a meet and greet, but I felt confident all would be fine. She came to my house and made two separate trips: one with my larger dog (40lbs) and his kennel, and had to make a second trip because my small dog (12lbs) would not go with her initially and refused to let her catch her. But the second time, with the help of a neighbor, Anne was able to get Pumpkin in her kennel and take her to her house. Anne let me know all what was going on the whole time, but that she was going to get Pumpkin to her house no matter what. Once the pups were reunited all was well and Anne sent photos and texts to let me know how the play date was going. Anne has a pug who likes to play as much as my two- so needless to say, they were all pretty tired the next day. I will definitely be using her services again and plan to take my pups for doggie daycare while I am at work so they can play all day.

Amidst all the crazy planning though, I put pet transportation off until right before the weekend, and consequently really struggled with finding someone who could work with us so last minute! It took some work for Ann, but she arranged for Kim to meet us at the venue and take our pup home right after the ceremony. Kim not only safely got our dog back home late in the evening, but did it with minimal direction (I was going crazy and did not give her details!), treated our wedding guests very kindly during the handoff, and even managed to calm our dog (who was alarmed at our large crowd of guests!). To top it off, we came home to a bottle of champagne and a sweet letter from Kim and Salty Paws! What a surprise! It's a shame we don't live in Pensacola, but If we ever travel there on vacation, we will certainly contact them again! Thank you SO much for caring for our baby, and allowing her to be a part of our big day!

I've used this vet since 2019 for baths and yearly checkups for my lab. They have always been…read morerespectful and helpful other than body shaming my overweight lab, I've always been willing to go back, until my last visit. The problem started when I made my appt. I adopted two rescue labs from an owner who could no longer afford to take care of them. I was all but told I could not bring them for wellness check and shots without previous records. I made the effort to get what shot records the previous owner did have. When we came for the appt the dogs were a little difficult to control and in hindsight I should have brought them separately but I just didn't think about it. I was thinking they needed up to date shot records so I did not get in trouble. So no staff volunteered to help with the unruly new rescues. But another customer volunteered to help me with the dogs until a room was available. After the checkup I waited at the desk for probably 20 minutes before I could check out. Dr Andersen was working on a treatment plan which is all well and good but I just needed to pay and put the dogs in the car. All the while while waiting to pay, the labs I'd rescued were unruly and the same customer was again trying to help me control the dogs who wanted to explore the front office, back office and say high to all the staff. Once I'd paid, Turns out one lab decided not to voluntarily get back in the car and created a rather chaotic scene for about 15 minutes. The dog had to be put in a muzzle which in all fairness cost about $5. Because the dog was so upset and actually kind of scary snarling at me his new owner along with snarling at staff who did come to help finally, I ask if I could have the muzzle, leave it on until I got back home. Then I could drive home safely. And get the dog to calm down. I was told by Dr Andersen that no if I wanted a muzzle I could go buy one at the store. I did offer to pay after all I wasn't expecting a handout but regardless the answer was no. Go buy my own muzzle. Again folks these are on Amazon and eBay all day every day $5. This visit to the vet visit just cost me over $300 so shouldn't have been an issue either way. Final straw. It Also turned out one of the labs had heart worms. In spite of the rudeness relating to the muzzle I decided to move forward with heart worm treatment which included 30 days of antibiotics. So called the same receptionist who said I needed previous vet records for the dogs to be seen, I called to get the antibiotics and was told Dr Andersen was off and I could pick up the medicine when she returned. There are at least 3 veterinarian's in this office. Problem was it was close to the holidays and I was scheduled to work the next several days so could another vet get the antibiotic script ready? Phone call ended and She was gonna check.....but she did say that I'd waited til now, so what difference would a few more days make. she called a few more days days later after Dr Andersen returned to tell me my script was ready. I was at work. So at this point I decided I needed a different practice to help me with these rescues. And a vet and a receptionist who have better customer service skills.
