Mckenzie at reception was friendly and efficient checking me in. Emily, the nurse who took my vitals and history was another person with a warm personality and nice professional approach to the tasks at hand. My visit with the nurse practitioner, Colleen just blew me out of the water. Pleasant, quick to grasp what I was asking for and even faster in meeting my needs. The whole place runs smooth as silk and after working 45 years in healthcare, I am usually NOT impressed. But, wow, I think I have found my go-to urgent care for the future. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I usually wait that long to just get back to an exam room. Keep up the great work and the great attitude. Job well done by all.

I placed my grandmother at this location after her stroke for rehab knowing we might have to extend…read morefor longer term care. While it is a beautiful facility and a few of their staff are very nice especially Nurse Doug who my grandmother adorned, overall I don't recommend this facility and don't have anything good to say. No one really seems to care about the care plan set, they don't communicate, they failed to give my grandmother pain medication as they said they were doing, they wouldn't get her out of bed, or encourage her to eat. Overall they just failed to give her the attention she needed. When you would go to the nurses stand for help you were ignored. I would have to say can someone assist me. Their personal conversations seemed more important. They would just sit while call buttons rang. I called the executive director twice and left messages. I never received call backs and she was rarely in when I visited to try to speak with her. I even told the Nurse Manager and Social Worker that I demanded she call me. Nothing. I think this is a major lack of staffing and leadership issue. It is time to get a new executive director. I am a firm believer that leaders lead and associates follow. Leaders are a direct reflection of their staff. It is amazing to me having moved her to Life Care of Collegedale the night and day difference. On the other hand I highly recommend Life Care of Collegedale. They take time with her. They have her up every morning. They get her out of her room. They listen to her needs. They place large bibs on her. She eats with other people in the dining room which I begged Ooltewah to do and they never did. They are friendly and attentive. They discovered a major issue with her medication right off the bat, and I could barely get the doctor at Life Care of Ooltewah to take the time to review anything. It was amazing the responds on the NextDoor when someone inquired about this location and many wrote about the same issues we had. Please do not place your love ones in their care. Also, a private room is over $3,000 per month more than Collegedale, but Life Care Collegedale has clearly been renovated. So I pose the question what am I paying for? It is clearly not service. I share this so many others don't go through the same experience my family did. I wish I had asked around before placing her at the Ooltewah location in the first place.

My experience at Harmony Oaks has been deeply disturbing, and I feel the need to share the truth…read morebecause the public image this facility tries to project is completely inaccurate. During my 64 days in treatment, I was moved an average of every 12 days. That kind of instability makes it impossible to focus on recovery or feel safe. I reported multiple times that my roommate was misusing substances, but nothing was done until she ended up on a ventilator. Controlled substances also went missing from the safe, with no explanation given. The response was "maybe they were sent to be destroyed," but that is not protocol, and it left me with no trust in how medications are handled. Clients are regularly used as free labor instead of the facility properly managing operations. I personally put about 400 miles on my truck, made dump runs, and even fixed plumbing that saved the facility hundreds of dollars--all while being charged rent and while insurance was being billed. Instead of addressing unsafe or unsanitary conditions, clients are pushed to do the work. That is exploitation, not treatment. Staff frequently violate HIPAA laws by openly sharing information about other clients that I should never have been privy to. If they're speaking so freely about others, there's no reason to believe my own private information isn't being shared as well. The integrity of this establishment has completely diminished. They are also short staffed because therapists are quitting under the weight of unmanageable caseloads. When I signed up, substance abuse and mental health clients were separated--but now, due to the lack of staff, all cases are blended together. This has only worsened everyone's mental health. The housing director in particular is unprofessional. She sent me and other female clients multiple pictures of her engagement photos, talked about her 4.5k engagement ring, and openly made housing a social environment centered around her personal life instead of the clients' recovery. With her and her husband both working for the company, it raises real questions about where the rent and insurance money is going, especially when clients are living in deplorable housing conditions. There are also ongoing issues of clients engaging in sexual relationships within housing--something that has been ignored instead of addressed, creating unsafe and unhealthy dynamics. I was threatened multiple times by other clients and instead of being protected, I was threatened with being moved when I had done nothing wrong. Seeing staff post on Facebook about how they "won't be a punching bag" while clients are literally treated as punching bags--pushed around, unheard, exploited, and disrespected--only adds insult to injury. The reality behind the scenes is nothing like the image they try to promote. Harmony Oaks needs to be held accountable for their practices. Clients come here at their most vulnerable, paying rent and insurance with the hope of getting help. Instead, they are met with instability, unsafe conditions, privacy violations, and a lack of true therapeutic support. This place does far more harm than good.

My experience at Harmony Oaks was overwhelmingly positive, and I feel compelled to share it because…read moreit played a major role in my recovery journey. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported by both the staff and the other clients. The environment was structured, organized, and focused on helping people build healthier lives. Any concerns that came up were addressed professionally, and I always felt safe and respected throughout my stay. The staff consistently demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and genuine care for the well-being of every client. Therapists were attentive and invested in helping us work through challenges, and the housing staff did an excellent job creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. It was clear that everyone was working toward the same goal: helping clients succeed in recovery. I also appreciated the sense of community that was encouraged. Clients were given opportunities to contribute and take responsibility, which helped build confidence and accountability. Rather than feeling exploited, I felt empowered to be part of a supportive environment where everyone worked together. Privacy and confidentiality were taken seriously, and I always felt that my personal information was handled appropriately. The staff maintained professional boundaries while still being approachable and caring. The housing was comfortable, clean, and well-managed. Whenever maintenance or operational issues arose, they were handled promptly. The staff worked hard to ensure residents had what they needed to focus on recovery. Most importantly, Harmony Oaks provided stability during a difficult time in my life. The encouragement, therapy, and support I received helped me make meaningful progress toward my goals. Recovery isn't easy, but having a dedicated team behind me made all the difference. I am grateful for my time at Harmony Oaks and would recommend it to anyone seeking a supportive and recovery-focused environment. I also the house manager made us feel more comfortable and feel more like a human! Thank you to all of the staff!!!
