Awesome ER Service! Fast and Friendly! Everyone was great during my ER visit today! I checked in easily, the wait was maybe 25 min long. I was seen by a blonde female Physician's Assistant who took great care of me and got me on my way. I thought I blew my eardrum but I only had a bad ear infection, so happy surprise not to have blown my ear out! The blond RN was super friendly too! All in all this was a great trip and now I can start to get better! Thanks everyone! read more

Few of the nurses are really nice, professional. Most are horrible, my wife has C-Diff which causes diarrhea, she has a catheter and isn't mobile. I called the nurses station that my wife had pooped and needed to get clean up as she has really bad sores on her butt. I called at 10:15 it's 10:55. And finally a rude nurse arrives read more

Truly wonderful folks at this location. Always have someone walking in at the ER nagging about the wait. Yet the lab tech's , nurse's and doctor's are hard at work. I find a lot of people are impatient. Folks expect everything right now. We are lucky for the medical care we receive in America. Think if you had to walk for two days to a clinic. Then wait another two days to be seen. Truly a lot of selfish and ungrateful folks in this great nation. Erlanger East is a wonderful place full of wonderful dedicated people. Thank you for your wonderful service of care. read more

From the moment we entered the emergency room at 6 o'clock in the morning on a Monday till the moment we were discharged on Wednesday afternoon our experience was absolutely phenomenal! The quality of care and the professionalism of the staff was beyond what we expected! read more

everytime I have came to this hospital it has been an absolute disaster. the complete lack of communication and the extremely long waits are unbelievable. I highly recommend anywhere else if possible. read more

The lack of communication that's between the patient and the staff is insane. The fact that my wife went in there for a ultrasound and was tell the ER that she doesn't feel good and is having immense pain and hasn't bled for 20 days and did nothing but a pee test and blood test and ct of pelvis when those have been done she needed a ultrasound and they won't listen read more

We drove an hour and a half to bring my five month old son here tonight and I cannot say enough good things about the facility, the staff, or Dr. McAnnally. Everyone was so good with our baby. They got us in quickly, listened to everything we had to say, and treated him without us ever having to wait. We will continue to come back to Erlanger East and recommend it to anyone we know. We chose coming here over going to Atlanta and it was the best decision we've made. read more

Went to see my general practitioner Dr. Ossman, who is awesome by the way, and finally tried the valet parking. It's not my kind of thing but the hospital parking gets really crowded sometimes and I just didn't feel like hunting for a spot. Also, like a lot of folks, I don't like other people driving my vehicle. However, a really nice young lady took my car and just generally made my day. Very positive and drove my car quite carefully to somewhere I couldn't see. And then brought it back in one piece! Thanks Rilee! I might have to do this more often. It was also inspiration for writing more positive Yelp reviews so you can thank Miss Wagner for that! read more

Nobody likes going to the ER but if you have to go this is the place to be. Its much better than the downtown location so unless you have something very serious this is the place to be. I got in, got stitched up and got out of there quickly, read more

I'm a patient of Dr Kingsley at the UT Erlanger Oncology and Hematology Center. The staff and nurses are kind, patient, skilled and professional. They always know my name and the Infusion lab staff is prepared to meet my needs each visit during treatments. A warm blanket, a special drink, even getting me my phone about a dozen times - it's never a problem. I can't recommend that anybody get sick and need to visit this office, but if you're like me and sh!t happens...take comfort that you are in good hands. read more

Very clean and always professional. The decor Feels very welcome me and almost like a hotel instead of a hospital. The staff is great and friendly and everyone is willing to help you find whatever you need. read more

Not bad for urgent care. There's definitely worse in the city and surrounding areas. It seems there were lot of doctors fresh out of residency, or at least on the night I went. (Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just an observation.) With all of the renovations around campus, I would have expected the emergency space to feel a little more welcoming. It was basic, hard chair rows and stark walls. There was nothing comforting about the lobby space at all. The admissions nurse didn't really display any compassion and was very robotic. But the floor nurse was a great guy! He at least was trying to make us laugh, which we all wholeheartedly appreciated. The xray tech was kind as was the physician that actually attended the family. There were a few things I wish had gone a little differently, but overall at was a simple and easy visit. *I would like to mention this was a much more positive experience than when we took the mother-in-law. For an elderly family member, I would suggest going to the main campus where someone might have more gerontoligical experience. read more

Rilee was great! We only had to wait a second for her to get another guests car. She was very polite and seemed like she was determined to get the job done! Great work. Will use valet again- read more

Please do not go to Erlanger East for any reason. I recently went to their ER and was admitted. It was a nightmare. Worst care I have ever received in my entire life. At on point my IV had been drained dry and was not being attended to and after a while a loud alarm was going off with the message WARNING AIR IN LINE. I rang and no one came to help me. I ended up in the hallway yelling for help and a CNA yelled at me twice to "Get back in my room and shut my door ". Luckily I am a fighter and said "No, I need help" and a nurse came running full speed down the hall full and got me disconnected. Very scary care. This is just one story. I demanded to be let go a day because of incompetent care. Several friends have advised me to never go there and to go to Memorial when I need care. read more

I'll write the review later BUT do not go to this hospital. Patient care is abusive.....details later

To the point, I've been here 4 days with my girlfriend for a UTI. The lack of communication between staff is very apparent, as well as lack of empathy and compassion for a patient. I've told many nurses we needed something only for them to forget or bring it 2 hours later, fyi a cup of water took an hour and a half to get. Jonathan an ER nurse told my girlfriend who was uncontrollable vomiting not to puke on her, real professional. The nurses here are 50/50 Courtney as well as Paige are great and amazing human beings who took good care of not only my girlfriend but other patients that I witnessed. Sue is another great nurse that is attentive and quick to respond. On the flip side Jackie another nurse is rude and not attentive. She not only took 3 hours to bring fluid which we were told she needed so she couldn't be discharged but the lack of urgency on the fluid seemed otherwise. When I questioned and asked to why this was, she power-tripped me assuming I'm an individual with no understanding of how a hospital works. Then proceeded to get upset and testy when I called her out on not doing her job in Atleast a 2 hours window. It took 3 hours for a bag of fluid, she did say she had 6 patients to take care of but each nurse that has came in has only been in for 5 minutes max. Although Each room is different, with a different set of needs I understand. But if you force a patient to stay cause they need fluids. I don't think it should take 3 hours to get, but here it does. read more

We had our first baby here and these folks did a great job. I would point out that if you do plan on using them for your delivery make sure to reserve a room with a large sofa...we didn't and I ended up sleeping on the floor for two days. Later my friends wife had her baby and he had a room with a sofa...punk got to sleep like a king. read more

If hospitals would give frequent user rewards we probably have some free stays. But since they don't I would like to compliment the service every time we go there! Having had 2 heart attacks back in Illinois from where I came from, it is nice to know that I have been to Erlanger East twice for Heart related problems and had no problems in treatment and the Dr's and Nurse Practitioners and Nurses and Technicians explain every thing and waiting time is nothing like I have had to endure at hospitals up north! I did get transferred one time to Erlanger Downtown for a Angioplasty but still the wait was all downtown not the EAST Campus! read more

My usual urgent care was closed so I had to go to Erlanger East's Express Care this evening. First they were deciding whether or not to treat me as it was near closing time. They agreed. I went in with a very red, hot, swollen hand from a dog scratch the day before. Sweeping and tightness had spread over the top of hand. Also, I was struggling with allergies-which in my case, easily goes into bronchitis. Happens every year at least once. I apologized for keeping them (if I actually did). They were very rushed and did not even speak or ask questions as they treated me. I got a tetanus shot and a steroid shot. It was clear they were ready to get out of there-not that I blame them, but the care I received was minimal. I mentioned to the doctor and the two nurses that I had never had this reaction before from a dog scratch- and not one of the three offered any explanation or concern for that matter. They just blew me off. I won't go back to the express care unless it's a matter of life or death. I get better attention from a fast food drive thru. Again, they asked me no questions nor were they interested in MY questions or my health. AFC Urgent Care on Gunbarrel Rd is so much better. Sharlee Gatlin Chattanooga, TN The prescriptions were amoxicillin, a cream for hand and cough syrup. read more

Unprofessional and Worst experience ever! Broken foot and we were left on the side of the hallway for hours! When we asked about how much longer it will be we were told that we can sign a paper saying we refused treatment and go home. By the time we did the X-ray the foot was too swollen they couldn't see anything. We never saw or spoke to a doctor and were told to go see and Orthopedic. Big waste of time and money! read more

We've been here with our child in the NICU for the last couple weeks so I'll review that portion only. The staff and nurses have been so kind and attentive. Their NICU isn't very big. They say they have had up to 12 babies in it and that would be very crowded based on the space they have. But when there are only 6 babies there's plenty of space and chairs to hang out with you child. They are closed every day from 6:30-7:30 during their shift changes. There's no restroom in the NICU for parents so it's a little annoying to have to leave and wash up after the bathroom and then again re-entering the NICU... The roller chairs they have are not great and don't lock. They can be very uncomfortable. We've been really pretty pleased overall with our experience here. Highly recommend having your child on this campus and if you need NICU then you can know you'll be in great hands. read more

The WORST ER visit experience !!!!!! The lady APN named Jenni has no business talking or dealing with any people. She is not a people person and does not have any bed side manor period. She had no intention of listening or helping me with my condition. All she wanted to do is give me some painkiller and go. And when I expressed that I was not comfortable about pain killer without talking with my Nephrologist , she got visibly annoyed, upset and rolling her eyes and throwing her arms around, made me very uncomfortable. She does not belong anywhere to deal with people. read more

Worst experience ever. Wife had vertigo and fell one morning. I took her to Erlanger East ER. She has a history of sinus problems and dizziness. Triage doctor nailed the diagnosis as vestibular disorder from excess sinus pressure. Then they sent in a cardiologist and he totally ignored the sinus problem and went straight to heart issues. Even though ALL TEST WERE NORMAL. When she was released they gave her a laundry list of referrals for cardiologist, neurologist, sleep lab, etc., everything except an ENT Specialist. My wife is working with her primary care to work on her sinus problem. We will NOT be wasting money on the unnecessary referrals. This event is solid evidence our health care system is CORRUPTED for CASH. All about making money. PERIOD. read more

Dr. Bernadette Helton is the Worst "Doctor" in Chattanooga! She misdiagnosed my son when we kept telling her we thought it was an allergic reaction. A fake diagnosis of bacterial pneumonia (radiologist and other doctors said they had no clue how that was her diagnosis), harsh antibiotics, X-Rays, and $2,500 of medical bills later. Thanks! Glad you are in charge of keeping people alive! read more
