After waiting a few minutes the operator and another employee came in saying that BCBS Medicare insurance wasn't going to approve the scan for today. I would have to reschedule. What about my copay? The woman said they could hold it until the rescheduled date or they would refund it. I got angry and frustrated with this situation and blew up at the young woman. I am very sorry that I did that to her and I'm not happy with my conduct toward her. I simply didn't tell her this is the 3rd time in the last month I've been rescheduled. I want the scan done in a timely way. The last scan 7 months ago revealed a mass and my doctor ordered the scans to be done every 6 months. We're behind. I took the young lady's advice and rescheduled for November 5. I didn't ask for the copay refund. The young lady offered to handle the reschedule but in my anger I wouldn't let her. I called Chattanooga imaging after I cooled down. Patient's need to have patience.

The approach during my visit with Chattanooga Periodontics & Dental Implants, particularly with Dr. Felts Randall, was extremely impersonal, rushed and uncaring. I chose not to return. Also, the clinic participates with my dental insurance, however I received a bill as if I was a self-pay. The issue was corrected only after I pointed it out, mailed only the correct discounted amount, and told the clinic that I could report this to my dental insurance and the insurance commissioner. As contrast, I went to another local periodontal clinic (near Gunbarrel) where the two doctors truly listened, showed genuine concern for my comfort and needs, and made the entire experience positive and reassuring. The nurse practitioner, and all of her staff treated me with such respect and kindness. I would completely recommend this place and go back many times over. they gave me a good treatment, plan and adequate medication to alleviate my symptoms .
