Vincent booked my teenage daughter's flight home from China without enough time to get her bags…read morefrom a connector flight, run to the international airline and recheck her bag before the international window of one hour early was met. She got the the airline after they stopped allowing passengers to check bags and board. The Vincent says 2 hours in "legal", but when your daughter is in Shanghai and the next flight out that isn't full is at the end of the week..."legal" doesn't matter. It cost $1840.00 to buy another ticket to fly my teenager home...and not spend nights in Shanghai by herself. Vincent sold my daughter a ticket that NOBODY could have used. It's a "snake oil" ticket. He scammed an 18 year old girl. DO NOT USE THIS travel agency. Very dishonest. He refused to help with her ticket home. He sold her a ticket that could never have worked.

There was a miscommunication upon check in that caused some inconveniences for us. But Penny worked her magic and got us a huge refund, much more than we expected and more than made up for the issue. The other thing we liked was the "lay away" option. Penny has an option to make a down payment and then make payments before your trip. Really helps to make it affordable!

I contacted an agent to help with my families three week trip to Europe. The agent was kind,…read morefriendly and knowledgeable so I was really excited to have her plan our trip. I followed up 1 week after the call and she let me know she would have something to me in a week. This was February 10th and the last I have heard since. Since February 10th, I have been unable to get a response from her or the company about the travel plan. I sent multiple kind emails asking for a timeline, left voicemails and spoke to the person who answered the main phone pleading for someone to call me back. Against my better judgement, I still stuck with it thinking they were helping me. A full month later, I have still not received an ounce of communication and we are having to move onto a different company. It is putting our family in a bad situation and now is a month of time wasted. I have no idea why this agent "ghosted me" and is refusing the event reply to an email or call me back. A simple, "I am still working on it" or "it turns out I don't have the bandwidth to handle your request" email would have sufficed, however I can't event get that from her or the company. It is really disappointing and very unprofessional. This is my first experience with a travel agent in over 20 years and it was disappointing to say the least. I'd caution you on using Willamette International Travel if this is the way they feel the need to treat their customers. I can't imagine this happening if a problem with a flight or hotel reservation would come up, you would be on your own to figure it out.

We just got back from the most magical trip in Turkey, thanks to Chevy Noralti of Encounter Tours!…read more I was initially hesitant to travel to Turkey and to trust a smaller tour agency (I was scammed by an agency last year). I'm so happy that we took a chance and went with Chevy. We had pretty lofty goals for our itinerary as we wanted jammed packed days of seeing all the major sights and the coast; Chevy's itinerary blew it out of the water. Before the trip, he was very patient with us as we finalized the itinerary. During the trip, we felt like VIPs with our drivers/tour guides - they were all very professional, timely, and friendly. All the accommodations were beautiful and were in the perfect location. The communication was stellar, even after the trip as he checked in to make sure we had a great trip. I HIGHLY recommend Encounter Tours.. thank you, Chevy & team, for making our trip to memorable!

The only negatives are the $17 parking fee, for parking on their unsecured lot each day, and that we were not advised that the maid service was only every other day. The "tipping just got easier"placard clearly visible on the coffee table in our room was quite ironic, as we had to call for towels when we returned to our room last evening and it took over half an hour and two phone calls to receive them. Staff are friendly. Breakfast buffet is extensive and includes everything from cold cereal to a made-to-order omelettes. There's also a restaurant on site that offers an upscale menu. Hotel itself is clean and comfortable, with the main courtyard on the first floor open to the rooms rising up several stories. Happy hour and some breakfast busy times can be a little noisy as we were on the second floor, but it wasn't anything that was unbearable. In addition, there's a mall nearby and a Target store across the street if you need to pick up other snacks or maybe something you forgot to pack. All in all, a comfortable stay and we would stay here again when in the area.
