We were having a very hard time finding airfare that would meet our needs. After submitting the form, I received the message that they would "contact us within 24 hours." Since, we were going into the weekend, I gave extra time to receive our quote. Late Monday, February 3, I called since I had not heard from anyone. Bittu told me she would get me that quote. I asked, "today"? She said she would get me that quote "by the end of the day." Late Tuesday, February 4, I received the quote. "Sorry for the delay" with three air options with prices for each. However, the quote did not specify which class this quote was for (business, premium, etc.) or whether the price quoted was for one traveler or two. I responded asking Bittu these questions. I never heard from her so on February 6th, I reached out again and said, "We can't move forward without knowing answers to our questions below." As of today, February 8th, I have not heard a word from her. I realize we only were requesting help with airfare so maybe we weren't worth her time but please tell me that upfront so I can do in a different direction and firm up our trip. I felt this interaction was very unprofessional. This was my first time reaching out to a travel service and it will be my last.

It had taken me months to save for my trip to Thailand and I wanted this trip to be extra special! Allison, from Sodha Travel was thoughtful, timely and had a follow-through quality that is rarely seen these days. After an initial meeting in which Allison asked us questions about our likes, dislikes, past travels and personality traits we decided to hand over the planning aspect of our Thailand vacation to Sodha Travel so that we could focus on more important things; such as finding the perfect swim suit and rock star sunglasses! Allison drafted a fantastic 12 night itinerary with multiple in-country flights. 3 nights in an all-inclusive luxury tent resort in Khao Sok National Park! A 1/2 day bicycle ride through Phuket and a visit to Phuket's Gibbon Rehabilitation Center! Kayaking inside Phang Nga Hong through tunnels and lagoons! Private guided temple tours in Chiang Mai. Private tours! Did I mention PRIVATE TOURS???? Allison didn't simply add us to a 50 person travel bus tour. She found us a private guide! Each hotel Allison selected was clearly chosen using the information she gleaned from our initial meeting. She was patient with my questions and politely and kindly made any changes I requested. Although, I must admit, there were very few changes due to Allison's impeccable skills and travel planning! I highly recommend Sodha Travel. The peace of mind you will experience after you hand over the planning details of your trip to Sodha Travel will be worth every penny you spend as you invest in your dream vacation. Heidi

I followed up 1 week after the call and she let me know she would have something to me in a week. This was February 10th and the last I have heard since. Since February 10th, I have been unable to get a response from her or the company about the travel plan. I sent multiple kind emails asking for a timeline, left voicemails and spoke to the person who answered the main phone pleading for someone to call me back. Against my better judgement, I still stuck with it thinking they were helping me. A full month later, I have still not received an ounce of communication and we are having to move onto a different company. It is putting our family in a bad situation and now is a month of time wasted. I have no idea why this agent "ghosted me" and is refusing the event reply to an email or call me back. A simple, "I am still working on it" or "it turns out I don't have the bandwidth to handle your request" email would have sufficed, however I can't event get that from her or the company. It is really disappointing and very unprofessional. This is my first experience with a travel agent in over 20 years and it was disappointing to say the least. I'd caution you on using Willamette International Travel if this is the way they feel the need to treat their customers. I can't imagine this happening if a problem with a flight or hotel reservation would come up, you would be on your own to figure it out.
