I said, "They only seem to have white mice..." and the lady told me that this store actually had black colored fancy pet mice. She'd just been there the day before. So I drove over and lo and behold, they had three fancy mice - one white one with slightly long fur, and two mice that were black and white. The two black and white mice didn't look to be in tip top health though, with both appearing to be sort of hunch-backed. Even so, I asked to see one of them, and got to hold her, and decided to bring her home as a friend for my calico mouse. The staff was very compassionate about the mice and assured he she would quarantine the other black and white one (who looked significantly less well) and have their vet take a look at her. She also confirmed I was only looking for a mouse as a pet, and not for some other purpose. I had to enter my name, address, phone number and email into their system to purchase this mouse. I didn't love that part, but I guess I understand their concern when selling live pets. Overall the store was clean, the pets I saw looked to be in good health (except for these two mice, one of which I did end up buying). The staff I interacted with were all friendly and professional. I was also assured they had a 2 week period where I could return the mouse if she was truly unwell or if she didn't get along with my other mouse or something.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn't just about obedience -- it was about creating a safe, friendly, and enjoyable environment for both dogs and their humans. Our one-year-old puppy can be a handful, but the team made the whole process feel surprisingly easy and stress-free. They took the time to get to know my pup's personality and worked with me at a pace that felt comfortable and encouraging. You can tell they genuinely care about each dog and want to help them succeed. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable but also super approachable -- I felt supported the entire way through. It was a relief knowing my puppy was in a space that prioritized safety and positivity. I can't recommend Stable Dog Training enough if you're looking for professional, kind, and effective training in a welcoming atmosphere. Even for just an evaluation and I already noticed a difference before we left the evaluation.

Safety is a priority and I feel very comfortable with how the training is run. We have been enjoying both the training class and the pack walks. The class is always interesting with different exercises. The pack walks allow us to work around different dogs. Thanks to Mariana and Griff my boy has been doing great and is getting out and about more. Would recommend these folks to anyone.

She went above and beyond with updates, photos, and messages that gave me so much peace of mind while I was out of the country for almost two weeks. Vanessa came to my house to check in on my extremely shy and very skittish cat, who refuses to leave the house under any circumstances. Anyone who has met my cat knows she does not trust easily, but Vanessa was patient, calm, and respectful of her space. She still managed to connect enough to make sure she was fed, cared for, and feeling secure. The regular updates were beyond appreciated, I loved knowing she was in such thoughtful hands. Both of them consistently sent me updates, which I truly valued, especially being out of the country for nearly two weeks. Traveling is stressful enough, and having sitters I completely trusted made all the difference. If you need boarding or in-home sitting for pets with big personalities, or tiny terrified ones, you're in the best hands with Suzie and Vanessa. Thank you both for the love, attention, and reassurance. I will absolutely be booking again!

Suzie and Juliette were wonderful and were able to get set up remotely to take care of our two cats. Mia needs some extra attention with pills and such, so it's not always the easiest to get a good sitter. The communication was great, my wife and I both really appreciated the daily check-ins and photos in the app. Will definitely be using this service again. It's a premium service for sure, but the peace of mind that our cats are at home and happy makes it all worthwhile.

We take our rescue puppy, Zero, to the puppy socialization classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays. He started out hiding under our chairs and after 3 weeks is starting to play with the other puppies! We're so happy with his socialization progress, especially because he has no other outlet yet while he's only partially vaccinated (puppies require 2 of 3 vaccine rounds). We're also so glad to have the trainers' help when assessing his play, Zero is our first puppy so we don't yet understand what his behavior means; Seth and Beth are incredibly helpful in interpreting what our pup is feeling! The trainers, led by Seth and Beth, give excellent lessons in obedience; they've really helped me see how "tricks" like sitting or touching are the foundation for good behavior later on like being home alone or recall. They also take time at the end of each class to make individualized recommendations, which has helped a ton with our puppy's biting. With lots of at-home practice, our puppy has learned a lot of really great behaviors; now that he's playing with other pups, he's starting to get distracted in class, but we're so thankful to have the trainers' help in redirecting him! The puppy classes are a mix of training and play with alternating 10-15 min sessions of each, which allows socialization and prevents the pups from getting bored of training. The trainers here really balance training and socialization well (which we never could have done on our own), they know just when to let our puppy play and when to give him boundaries. If you're thinking of taking your puppy here, all I can say is "DO IT!"

Rats are wonderful pets, but their lifespan is short, and they're prone to tumors. Apricot had developed a mammary tumor a few months prior and was nearly two years old. It was clear she was in distress, and we felt the most humane choice was to end her suffering. We assumed nothing would be open on a holiday, but I called VEG after remembering their location next to the Vons I visit. The receptionist was kind and told us to come in right away for euthanasia. When we arrived, the large main treatment area was focused on a critical case involving a Labrador, with a family gathered nearby. There were comfortable couches in a waiting area with plenty of room. We were placed in a private room to wait, which was thoughtfully designed to feel calm and comforting. It had soft lighting, gentle music, electric candles, a fragrance diffuser, and even a memory book where we wrote about Apricot while we waited. It was sweet to read what others had written too. That space made a difficult moment more manageable. Over about 45 minutes, staff checked in on us regularly, offering water and explaining the process. Once available, the doctor discussed euthanasia options. Unlike our regular vet, who uses gas, they explained that they prefer intravenous injection for a more controlled and peaceful passing. However, due to Apricot's size and likely dehydration, accessing a vein was extremely difficult. Multiple staff members attempted carefully to find one in her tail, but it was understandably challenging. The remaining option was an intracardiac injection--a needle through her chest into the heart. Apricot was already minimally responsive, and we agreed to proceed. I stepped out, while my husband stayed with her. He said she reacted briefly but passed almost immediately. This wasn't an easy experience, but the staff handled it with honesty, patience, and respect. They kept us informed at every step and treated both us and Apricot with dignity, never once making us feel like she was "just a rat". A few days later, we received a sympathy card signed by what looked like the entire team. That unexpected gesture meant a great deal to our family. With all the pets over my lifetime and all the euthanasia we've had for them, never once did a vet send us a sympathy card. We expected a high emergency holiday cost, especially given the circumstances, but the total was about $200, only slightly more than our regular vet. While euthanasia for small animals like rats can be technically difficult, we're grateful VEG was available when we needed immediate help. Everyone, from receptionist to vet tech to nurse to doctor was kind and gentle. I would return for future care, especially in urgent situations.
