Wish I could give them 10 Stars!  These folks were awesome on all accounts…read more First off, I'm a normal homeowner and I did NOT receive any payment for my review nor am I fake reviewer.   I am the type of person that still expects to have a job done right....the first time and to have contractors/trades treat me fairly.... I am also a person that rarely writes reviews.  I usually only write reviews if a company is really bad or really good. Nowadays, so few trades, contractors, stores, resturants operate as they are supposed to, which is that without their customer, they don't have a business and that their customers are people too, not just an open wallet. Background: Our home is roughly 25 years old and we just recently purchased it.  When the home was built, it was barely to code for the level of insulation that was installed at that time. So the house really needed some energy updates!  It was barely an R15 in some areas and nowhere near the current standard of R38. What I liked a: 1. Communication - They called to confirm date of service a few days before the start date.  They also called the day of to let me know their ETA (which was on time!).  Try to find a company that does that now a days! 2. A Fair Price and Value - Again, they don't treat you like you are an open wallet.  They gave us a more than fair price and then spent the time to complete the project and ensured that everything was taken care of so that there were no issues at the end of our project. 3. Honesty - They didn't make any unrealistic claims about how we were going to suddenly have our heating/AC bills cut in half. They were upfront and transparent in what to expect.  1. That our comfort level will be vastly improved. Rooms will stay either warm or cold as they should and without the need to run our HVAC or Furnace as much. 2. As mentioned, before, since our units will not have to run as much, the $ savings will follow.   4.  Transparency - They didn't try to oversell us on insulation.  Some company's that we spoke with tried to over sell us for what our house didn't need.  The Insulation Unlimited staff - explained what the codes currently were and how each R value would affect both the functioning/comfort of our home as well as our wallet.  They did not try to sell us on trying to bring the R value of our home up to R50 or beyond.  For this region R38 is the go to amount of insulation that is needed.  Going above R38 is really uncalled for and will not make your house energy  savings any better. So unless you just want to spend  $2000 in order to save $1 a month... follow the standard energy codes of R38 for this part of Tennesses and check back to that guide for updates.   I really liked that their staff took the time to explain this too us as well as showing us the science of it.  They weren't trying to oversell us above and beyond for what our home needed. 5. Project Time - Their teams of folks that come in were FAST.  We thought the install was going to take 2 days, they were in and out in a day. Which was a great turn around for a house of this size. Our house has a crazy and complicated attic system. Their guys were able to get into cavity's of the attic that I would be scared to attempt. Very amazed.  They got into all the small holes and crevices in order to get insulation into sections of the home that didn't even have it was it was built! Summary: I am really happy with the install and working with this company. In my field of work, I work with a lot of trades/contractors and I understand the power of reviews in today's tech savvy world.  It is rare that I write such long reviews of a company unless it was either really bad ie traumatizing or really good - above my expectations.  The folks at Insulation Unlimited have earned my high praise. They handled everything professionally, quickly, and took care of any problems quickly and without any drama.  If you are on the fence about whether or not you want to use these folks, feel free to message me and I am happy to share my good experience with them. Thank you for reading my review!

I hired this company to blow attic insulation in two side access attic areas off a bonus room and…read morefoam seal the entire perimeter of the house. The first technician did blow new insulation in, however, he left a terrible mess in the carpeted room. Insulation was lying around in huge chunks on the carpet, on the furniture and behind it. Furthermore, upon using a mirror later to check the perimeter for foam seal I noticed about 50% haphazard coverage and 50% no foam at all. In addition, a large blob of foam was left on my new driveway permanently staining it. The owner was contacted and came back out. He did clean up (most) of the insulation but left a lot of it behind a piece of furniture. Secondly, he did re-foam the perimeter but unfortunately, left foam splattered on the siding causing staining. And finally, they tried cleaning the stain on the driveway by scraping the foam, but the stain appears to be permanent. I normally would not be that concerned about the staining but the house is brand new and less than six months old. The owner was very nice and apologetic about all the issues with the previous employee, but did not clean up all the mess. He even installed an attic stair insulator I had already purchased for free. UPDATE: 03-15-2019 - I just noticed a huge splotch of spray foam on the siding of my house about two feet from the application area. I have no idea why they even sprayed up this high! This, along with the permanent stain in my driveway clearly demonstrates very sloppy work and is simply unacceptable. I modified the work quality and customer service because of this. UPDATE: 04-03-2019 I just noticed even more splotches of spray foam on the siding of my house, spray foam on my garden hose, spray foam INSIDE my garden hose and spray foam on my patio and ladder. VERY sloppy work!
