We had the main cushions on the three seat sofa replaced approximately 7 years ago, and finally got around to having the cushions on the two seat sofa replaced recently. Johnny and Rhea were extremely helpful in figuring out what type of foam we needed and made the right recommendation. Our original cushions had both foam and a top layer of polyester batting so I was a bit worried about the dimensions of the new foam, but Rhea got the measurements just right. The new foam is a nice snug fit (but not excessively tight) in the cushion covers and make the sofa look brand new again. The two main things I would recommend when replacing your cushion foam are: - Visit in person and bring your existing cushions to get the right sizing and density - Choose foam that may feel slightly firmer at first because it will soften slightly over time If you love your couch and just need new foam, I highly recommend the Foam Store. I stopped at the Foam Store on my way back to Florida because I need a specialized piece of foam made for the middle of my captain chairs in the back. Why do I need a special foam cut for that area you ask, why for my sweet dog as we have been dealing with adding multiple pillows and blankets stacked so that she has a nice cushy spot in the middle when traveling. The owner came out, measured the area and wrote it on his business card. He told me to call next time I know when I am coming to town and he would make sure the foam piece is ready when I arrived! I asked if I could pre-pay and he said, No, just call and order it and I will have it ready for you. Say WHAT!!!!! What a fabulous owner and amazing customer service. Yep... I decided to do a DIY project. I have a large dog that doesn't believe in personal space. When we sit out on the balcony, he always wants to squeeze into my chair with me. So I thought... WHY NOT MAKE A LARGE SEAT... duuuuuh :) The project begins.. after recruiting my pops of course! :) We found pallets, painted them an espresso color, nailed them together and TADA! I needed a huge amount of foam to make loads of costumes (Minions from Despicable Me) for a charity function. It took me forever to figure out where to get foam quickly and at a reasonable price, and I'm so glad I finally found this place! I was able to pick up my foam the day after ordering (make sure you order it before 4 if you want to do that). I know they deliver too, but I happen to live close by so I haven't needed that. Johnny and Rhea, the owners, are very nice people, and are the ones that pick up the phone when you call and help you when you come into the store - I like that. Anyway, I have since turned the costume making into a little business on the side, and I have this very efficient and responsive little store to thank for it. I visited this store yesterday to obtain one or two small pieces. The owner was rude throughout the entire 7-8 minute exchange. I was given grief for not calling first and not researching their hours of operation (this was my first visit to the store), It got worse from there. His approach and responses to my simple questions of size, cost, availability etc were rude and loud. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.He certainly gave the impression that he was not interested in any business from me. I must say that doing business with Johnny was most pleasurable. I called him early Saturday morning around 8:30 to get a quote on sound reducing foam to construct my vocal booth for my home studio and Johnny gave me a quote right away. He asked me how soon I would need the foam and I told him I would like to have it as soon as possible. Although they are normally closed on Saturday, Johnny stated that he had a few errands to run but he could me at the store around 11:00. I said that would be perfect! Had new foam cut for bottom sofa cushions. Took the old foam in the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. Was told the new foam wouldn't be ready until the following Tuesday, but got a call on Friday that they were ready. They fit perfectly and I was very happy to have them early. These folks were great. I went by during business hours and had no problems. They helped me pick out the best foam for my project of seat cushions and back cushions.
