I felt I accidentally stripped my drain plug bolt while trying to do an oil change and brought my car in to Francisco who noticed another bigger issue with my car. He told me he could fix it the next day as I already had my own parts. He was accommodating to my schedule as he personally felt the issue was major and wanted to make sure I was safe on the road. I've been coming here for a few years now & only once strayed to Jiffy Lube with the bare minimum of efficiency. By that...let me elaborate on F&P. My last oil change was nothing short of extraordinary. I expected an oil change but what I got was an experience similar to taking my car to a family friend. I received a detailed email with photos of the inside, under carriage, estimated battery life expectancy, text updates on the diagnostics as well as estimated completion time...and Francisco even suggested I replace my windshield wipers because it was expected to rain the following week. He spoke in layman terms & took the time to go over all the diagnostics he had performed; from the oil test that looked like litmus paper to the way the car drove, etc. Phenomenal work ethic, punctuality and quality. Yelp challenge 2016 So my old Stanton mechanic retired......One of my cars kept losing power. Not safe at all. One minute it was fine, next minute it would turn off. Total Gremlin under my hood for sure. So after the Mister took me to work, he Yelped a place nearby and found FNP Auto. Located off Western and Chapman in Stanton. Super comfortable inside. Free WIFI, TV, Radio, free cold water, coffee, snacks, Candy and magazines. Customers ate treated right. They even gave him a ride home. When I came to pick up the car I munched on red licorice and sipped on cold water. Had to leave her overnight to figure out the problem. So sad. But finally they found the Gremlin and fixed it. So here is my only disappointment. Most reviews do not discuss the prices here. Im used to my friends working on my car for the easy jobs and getting parts at cost. I know how much things cost. Maybe times have changed and the true cost of labor has increased. They use a program that estimates standard time to fix an issue. If it says it takes 1/3 of an hour you are billed 1/3 of an hour. Some of my billed time was questionable in my opinion. Only because I know how long it takes to change simple parts out, like a air filter. On a plus note. Pictures of work were presented and emailed. That way you don't forget. Recommend work was also presented via pictures and with estimates. Francisco is super friendly like everyone else has said. Super professional. I understand its a 1 man shop with a few other mechanics and they need to make a living, take care of overhead, ect. I just wish it was not so costly here. Gotta give an update to the best autoshop. My husband and I been going to FNP auto for about 3 years now and have always received amazing service. Francisco is always so thorough, transparent, and helpful. I love that he takes pictures during service so we are able to see what's the issue or why something is being done. He even gave me a lot of helpful advice when I was having issues with my transmission and the dealership was being difficult. My fairly new Mazda was having transmission issues and the Mazda dealership would not fix it. I had to go back and forth to the dealership a lot with them making quick fixes on issues near the transmission but never fully fixing it. Francisco gave me great advice and really advocated for me to get it fixed with Mazda since it was under warranty. Mazda finally fixed my transmission but it wouldn't have happened with out Francisco's advice and the pictures he took during all the checks he did on my car. This is honestly the BEST experience I have ever had getting car repairs. The owner, Francisco, goes above and beyond all expectations. He sent a detailed report of his inspection including photos and videos. Then he went over the entire report over the phone and made sure I understood everything he was doing for me. Decided to come here for an oil change after attending a Yelp event here & seeing how honest & thorough they (Francisco & Pearl) were. Francisco took the time to talk to me, answer all of my questions, looked up my car maintenance schedule to let me know what & when I needed to be changed/ fixed (printed this out) & also had the patience to teach me the differences between different oil brand names. I can see the passion & dedication that Francisco & Pearl have for cars & their wonderful shop with the honest & great work that they do here. It's really hard to find a mechanic & Auto shop that you can truly trust that won't rip you off like other places that I've been to where I've had bad experiences. But here, it was a completely different experience. Got my oil changed, wipers (all 3 changed- I had bought my own so this was free of charge), check to see if my brake fluid contaminated & check my check tire light problem & also checked the pressure on my tires. After everything was done, I paid for the services only since I had bought my own parts everything went smoothly & I was on my way. I love the ease of mind that I get here compared to other places. Francisco is the most friendly and genuine auto mechanic I've ever met. Came in for the first time to get an oil change for my girlfriend's car and came out with a free broken brake light fixed, a full inspection with comprehensive explanations AND pictures, in under an hour and about $30. No appointment set either (although highly recommended out of courtesy)! He greeted me instantly and got me out the door knowing exactly what my car needed to have serviced without any pressure. He sent me a copy of the list and promised to email me with quotes which he did! Came back a week later to get a brake flush and to get my new car inspected. I had an appointment and Francisco was outside greeting me before I even stepped out my car! Brake flush was finished in about 1.5 hours, and It didn't leave a large hole in my wallet (the yelp check-in helped). Next up was my new-ish Mazda 3 inspection, which he promised to completed in about 2 hours. Came back and he gave me the same amount of detail as the previous inspection, except the list was all positive! He answered all of my questions clearly and never made me feel pressured to get anything done. Only suggested what I should get done and listed everything by importance. I just had my truck serviced here. Long story short, my mechanic of 20 years had recently retired. I was in need of a mechanic that I could trust. However, what impressed me most was the detail and attention that was provided in the visit. Francisco and his team took pictures of my car to show me any potential problem areas. And no, there was no pushy salesman pitch to get more money. It was a straight forward conversation. Because my first experience was so great, I brought my car back a couple of months later for a leak. Turns out I needed a water pump replacement -not cheap.
