Only thing was he advised to put down new sheathing which I understood why, but was an added expense. Hard for a retired senior. I had read and heard lots of horror stories about roofing jobs gone bad so I wanted a reliable company and Rabbit Roofing did not disappoint. My existing roof was a second layer put on over 25 years ago and it was starting to show its age. The underlying plywood was soft in many spots and there were some small leaks in the garage during heavy rainstorms. When Alex came by to check out the roof we had a long talk about what needed to be done and how much it would cost. The price he quoted was not the lowest bid but still reasonable and I was more concerned about workmanship than saving a few dollars. There was no hard sell and I really had a good feeling about Rabbit Roofing and was encouraged by all the great reviews. One thing the really impressed me was that Alex did not ask for any money up front even though he had to cover the cost of the materials. He trusted me to pay the entire cost when the job was done, which I did. Dealing with Alex was a pleasure. He was very responsive to all my messages. The crew arrived exactly on time, 7:30 AM. The weather was very hot but no rain. I felt sorry for those guys working in that heat. The crew of 6 men were able to finish the job in one day (almost 12 hours) and Alex was there supervising for almost the entire time. The first thing they did was drape a fine net around the entire house to protect everything on the ground near the house. Then they carefully moved everything off my deck and patio. When they were done putting on the new roof they put everything back exactly the way it was. The cleanup was perfect! Not an easy task since my driveway is gravel. They swept the entire grounds with large magnets to pick up any stray nails. So far I have not found any that they missed. One of the things I wanted was copper flashing (extra cost) around the base of the chimney and I wanted it put on straight and not stepped just to make it a little different from most of the houses on my block. You can see from the photo that it looks really nice. Turns out that my roof was in much worse shape than I thought. They had to replace 19 pieces of plywood so this job was long overdue. Alex took photos of the entire process from start to finish. Heavy rain is expected for the next couple of days and I'm looking forward to not seeing any leaks. A perfect job; can't ask for more than that and I will certainly recommend Rabbit Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof. Thank you Alex and crew for an outstanding job.

Additionally, portions of my roof are flat and there were a couple of unexpected issues due to shortcuts taken by previous roofers. Larry, the owner of AllWays, does not take shortcuts and ensures that the work is done properly. He had his crew strip all of the old, shoddy materials from these sections of roof and rebuild them to provide better drainage. In addition to the roof, Larry saved my old shed by replacing all of the rotted wood, added a new roof and doors, and installed siding, making the shed look brand new. I had aluminum capping around my windows, that were done by another company that also did the vinyl siding. It was done totally wrong, and I had water leaking past the flashing. Brainstorm came and redid the flashing the way that a professional is supposed to do it. They spent more time than I thought that they would, because they did it right. I thought a small job for what looked like a big company but gave them a call anyway. They returned my call promptly and came as soon as possible for a free estimate. After a quote they returned the next day to do the work. They said it would not take long. I was disappointed that the roofing tile just barely came to the edge of the roof. they replaced the biggest part of the nesting box cover after removing the rusted hinges and left the cover on the box unattached. I asked why they didn't rehinge it. They said it's just a coop and I can take the cover off and on. I said it needs to be attached to the coop because I need to be able to put a lock on it. My neighborhood has raccoons fox and possum. Dumb looks are still free. I asked if i went out and bought two hinges can they attach the cover to the coop and they gave me a flat no. I told them it was a cheesey job. They knocked off $50. My husband had to fill in the gaps in the roofing with silicone. Carrie Bacon
