So to those who have been following my bike repair story. Here is the ending chapter however it ended on a good note. Last week or so I finally got my bike back, from a different shop who did the main part of the repair this time around. However when I got it back I needed to replace the tube in the front tire I knew about it I could of just had it done at the time of repair however I am like just put air in it - anyways I get the bike home and guess what to my luck its flat. So the next day I took it here to Flynn's I had trouble finding there new location however that was fixed with a quick phone call as soon as I arrived they were ready to work. I wanted to mention that the new shop space is bigger, it looks more rustic theme which I like and they did a very good job. I had them replace the following items. -Grips and a front tube tire. I had some questions about the grips like what are best should I get locking ones or not etc. The tech there was more than willing to jump in while my bike was up on the stand getting the tire fixed. He came over and answered the questions even installed them for me on the spot. This was not like a normal transaction, this was an experience. If you need any repairs done and are close to the shop stop in by you wont leave with out a smile. Thanks for taking care of me, I will be back for sure. read more

My 7 year old grandson was given a used bicycle by a neighbor. The bicycle had been well used by the neighbor's son and had seen better days. I dropped the bicycle by the shop on a weekday morning and explained to Eric that it needed some work to get it into shape to ride. Eric said the bike would be ready possibly that afternoon or the next day. I was happy to receive Eric's text that very afternoon that the bicycle was repaired and ready. I used to have to almost pedal down hills. Now I coast! Uphill is easier too! The brakes are right and they shift like they should. I thought the $65 charge each was very reasonable. I'm a local and I'm a fan. Fast fixes and I even brought my own tire to put on my tubeless wheel 10$ includes Stan's. I also needed to purchase a tire and he had one on the wall again price reasonable - small mark up if you're a bargain internet shopper-- I needed the tire NOW so I was happy to pay the 15.00$ mark up. I've had my rear derailer bent and he just put it on the rack and fixed that in under ten minutes I was out! Spokes tightened, wheels trued, prices all reasonable-- lower than performance bike and Bingham Cyclery even with a club discount. Parking behind the shop is always crowded so I park on the street or curbside. There's a lot of business here, the shop is full of bikes that need to be picked up-- high end road bikes, cross, and mtb. I've brought both of mine here and the bikes run quietly and smoothly. Super pumped to have stumbled onto Flynn Cyclery through a friend's recommendation. I have a Stumpjumper that needed some new wheels and tires. I visited a couple shops but finding the exact Stan's wheels I wanted locally was surprisingly difficult, not to mention the lengthy wait times for ordering in parts and installation turnaround times this time of season. Nothing but great things to say about Eric and Wes, found them a few months ago when I was looking into Norco bikes. I randomly stopped by one day and chatted with Eric and was hooked on the shop. Since then I've had them replace a headset, do a safety inspection/initial tune on a newly bought bike and replace hydraulic brake hose. When I first heard about a bike shop coming back to the Hollday area, I couldn't have been more excited, as the location was right up the road from where I live! First plus for sure. When I first went in, I was impressed by the clean, cozy and welcoming style of the shop, versus other places that are packed tight with new and old gear, and have no rhyme or reason to the layout. Next, but most importantly is the staff. It's hard to beat the friendliness of the owner Eric, and mechanic Wes. Both are super easy going guys and have years in the industry and do great work. Over the last year or so I've had them build wheels for me and minor adjustments that are usually a result of me trying to work on my own bike and failing miserably. These guys are happy to help and offer it all at a great price that can't be beat.
