A great place for sooo many treats. A large selection of cedar crest ice cream flavors including some I've never seen before. I tried the jumping cow something-or-other and it was delicious. They also have a variety of fresh baked cookies, a HUGE selection of popcorn flavors as well as a candy wall full of options to get by weight. And something I've never seen anywhere else is a selection of sprinkles by weight. This would be perfect for the occasional home baker who needs just the right color sprinkles for a special occasion. They also have a decent area to sit inside and enjoy your goodies. The store is super cute and watching the kids come in and just take in alllll the options was fun. I remember when Flying Pig was a food cart parked in front of Hilander, and it's so cool to see that they're doing well in a brick and mortar. For the first time in years, I ordered a shaved ice: Kiddie-sized Barbie ($1.25). Unfortunately, I was kinda disappointed. The ice wasn't completely shaved down, so I was left with large chunks and it was over-saturated with syrup. Flavor-wise, it was good, but it didn't live up to my memory. In addition, it's nice to have options, but I experience extreme decision fatigue when looking at their menu. There are simply too many options for everything. I'd rather that they do a few things really well than a lot of things of average quality. read more

I've been here two to three times and always get the iced thai tea with boba before I remember that I hate it. It is the consistency and sweetness of melted ice cream. You can get it frozen or just iced and I expect they use the same thick gross cream for either drink. My partner got a mango boba tea and was expecting a refreshing tea type drink but again, it was like melted ice cream. They do have a nice selection of candy and popcorn among other treats. Good coffee, great candy selection, nice but somewhat cramped space. Very popular, and short-staffed, making distancing a little difficult. They were having WiFi problems which slowed them down at the cash register. Of course there isn't an actual cash register, I just don't know what to call the 21st century equivalent. Anyway, there was a lot of delay at the point of sale, and I heard a couple of regulars mention that "this happens too often." I had wanted to just sit and sip a cappuccino in peace, but this place really caters to children and the tables are too close. I visited here twice across within a week from each other. My first visit, I got a Peach Puree drink with peach boba. The drink is not it as it doesn't pair well with toppings because it is chilled ice with an unpeach-like taste that is bit soury + tangy. The peach boba is tapioca with peach essence that is not fresh with rubbery texture. On my second visit, I had to give them a chance and go for the basic option, which is the thai tea + tapioca. The drink is much better than whatever my last drink supposedly was, but the boba is still edible. As for the service, my order came in pretty quick and it has a cafe-like atmosphere with bit of more noise. 3.5/5 read more

I have been to downtown Beloit to try a few restaurants but out of the corner of my eye this shop with a pig logo caught my eye. I have either parked in front of it or just happen to walk by this place numerous times. My friend and I decided to try this place out after dinner one night. We walked in and were greeted right away. If we had questions the girls at the counter were very nice and answered all our questions. When walking by it, this place looks like a small shop that just sells coffee and tea but when you walk in, there is so much more than what you would expect. This location is pretty big and it has a few tables where you can sit down and enjoy your beverages or treats. When looking at the drink menu, not only do they sell coffee and tea; but they sell fudge, candy, and flavored popcorn. They also have my personal favorite which is bubble tea. It comes with an assortment of flavors and flavored tapioca balls. I would recommend anyone coming to visit Beloit to come and try the Flying Pig. Overall, a great local shop with all sorts of beverages and treats and the customer service was great. read more

I'm not sure where my original review went, but I've been a fan since the days of the green trailer in the Highlander/Schnucks parking lot. I have spent years trying almost all of the menu items and my longtime favs are blended honeydew bubble tea with boba, a Blurricane slushy Hawaiian style, the Maui freeze, and Thai iced tea with boba--I consider all of them to be equally delicious, it just depends what mood I'm in. I love the variety of desserts, I can get warm or cold drinks, sweet or salty popcorn, candy, ice cream, baked goods and probably more that I'm forgetting! I always take out of town visitors here if we have time or grab them a bag of flavored popcorn to take home. The decor is as fun as the menu! I'm so sad that Flying Pig moved out of Rockton, but Beloit is close enough and it's only a few dollars delivery charge when I don't feel like fighting the crowd. holy sugar! a fun but overwhelming place. like too overwhelming. i needed a map...and a few hours to take it all in. like some others mentioned, i didn't know where to start and i had narrowed it down to ice cream. i was not wowed by my choice (door county cherry) and sadly was looking forward to a cherry ice cream without chocolate (rare find); it was a weird texture and sour tasting. the service was a bit all over the place too. there was no line and 2 people behind the counter yet my husband and son had time to shop through the candy bins and i through the tea selections and all of us had a seat with a continued wait before our scooped ice cream was ready. read more

You'll need someone there just to redirect your eyes to the right menu for your tastes. This place is identical to the sister location in Rockton, IL. I love the bubble teas and the frozen green tea. They have close to 100 flavors of frozen ice, and another 100 different flavors of frozen teas that you can customize with various flavors. Then I ordered the macinah island fudge ice cream and the salted sea turtle ice cream... the first kind was wrong, they game me the mini version which included mint. Gross. I actually really enjoy their product. Most of their customer service has been great. I actually have patronized them every single day for the past couple months.Until tonight. They refused me service which is discrimination. She asked me to where a mask and I explained I have a health issue and can't. She then proceeded to tell me it was the law and I had to (which it is not a law). So because I do enjoy their treats, I was willing to put one on briefly while I was in there and there were only a few other customers and not busy. I could get in and out. I asked for a mask because i do not have one and was told they don't provide them. If you expect your guest to where one, you need to supply them. I was denied service to a business that I have never had a problem being served previously. This is pure discrimination which completely disgust me! A business or person should not be able to treat people who are different with such disrespect and callus behavior! I truly makes me sad because I love their treats! They do not have a drive thru for me to use and I can not afford to have ordered online as she suggested! So not only am I being discriminated against because of my health but now because of my financial position! read more

They offer a WIDE variety of sweet and salty treats ranging from homemade popcorn in a million different flavors, shaved iced with any wild crazy candy topping you can think of, ice cream, and they have literally 30 different shake/ smoothie flavors. The have a huge wall of different old school candy you can make a take home bag of your favorite candy sweet treats! They offer tea, buble teas and other drinks. This is the cutest little shop in downtown Beloit. If you are in the area it is totally worth stopping in. Their lattes are excellent. Make sure to also get some popcorn to go, I recommend the cheddar caramel mix. If you stop in on the weekend you can not leave without getting a cinnamon roll! read more

Now this is a nice place for dessert. First of all, the lemon cookies are fabulous and I highly recommend them. I also came back for a scoop of Mackinac Island ice cream. This Ice cream is rich and I enjoyed it. The flying pig also sells flavored ice. Unfortunately after two desserts I could not have anymore. The shop has cookies, ice cream, flavored ice, coffee. It may be hard to find parking but I recommend just driving around the corner and parking in front of the bank. This is one place I strongly recommend for dessert. read more
