Candy Cloud started out as a food truck and opened up a storefront this year! It's always a happening place when I go. I love the updated concept of ordering your drinks on the iPad. My favorite drink so far is a special they have only for a limited time called Purple Potion which is taro, sweet cream, brown sugar and boba! They should keep this on their daily menu. I've also tried the strawberry matcha, brown sugar boba, the strawberry lemonade and the ice cream! Everything is so good. During fall they had an apple cider hot drink that was so delish! This place is perfect, with the lack of boba places in the area you wouldn't think that you would find on like this, the environment itself is very peaceful, there is music in the background bar top tables, and a nice couch. From the time you order your drink it does not take long for it to get to you even when it is a bit crowded. The drinks were somewhat pricey but you're paying for the experience as well. The blueberry acai drink is not too sweet and has a unique flavor. Spent the day in Rockford and wanted to check out Candy Cloud while we were there. After a day walking around the Anderson Japanese Gardens and the Nicholas Conservatory, we treated ourselves to boba and ice cream at Candy Cloud. The horchata boba and the strawberry matcha latte were so good. The strawberry matcha latte had strawberry puree in it. Yummy! I was immediately impressed by how unique the decor and vibe was. They have a large selection of drink options, and they allow you to customize your drinks a bit. My only concern was that my boba were a little on the too firm side. Soft and chewy please, but that is something you can correct with a little practice. Teenager looking employees that don't even acknowledge you , certainly dont know how to feel clients welcomed or that they appreciate business. Completely ignored .
