I was assured by my Flyhomes mortgage officer that even if the program ended that it was in my file and that I would still be able to access it. Having access to this program is part of why I made the leap in buying a home with Flyhomes. It has now been more than six months and I have contacted (emailed and called) Flyhomes Mortgage eight times over the last five months about utilizing this program and they haven't responded to me. The one exception being I was able to get a live appointment with a mortgage broker. I explained my situation and he told me to email the mortgage president and explain my situation to receive the services. I did just that and still haven't heard anything back. My assigned loan officer doesn't seem to be up for the task. - Asked me for the same documents repeatedly - Never picked up my call - Responded email very slowly - Many typos in email - Explained rate wrong in email - didn't waive the 1% fee for the refi (I caught it) I only knew the loan is secured 1 day before closing even though I am pre-underwritten with FlyHomes. On FlyHomes website, it says "Flyhomes Mortgage offers a 30-day closing guarantee, one-time underwriting, and guaranteed funds.". I have 2 more days to see if it is legit. Flyhomes was so staggeringly pleasant to work with, and their rates so good, that I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop - for there to be some kind of catch. It never came. They're actually that good. They handle everything in house: the loan, the touring, the offer negotiation, etc. And the rates for everything were meaningfully better than anything I received from any other lender. They were both the cheapest and the easiest. Manisha worked with me directly - over text message, like a normal person, which I really appreciated after all the slow, cryptic bank BS I got from most other places. She gave me feedback on what was reasonable given the market, and helped construct an offer that won by a hair without setting off a clause that would have had me paying more. Rae was extremely helpful answering financing questions and helping coordinate the mortgage process. I've since referred some people who also got refis through Flyhomes and had the same experience... they make everyone else in the housing game look greedy and obsolete.
