Flyby Coffee's roadside, drive-through business model makes feel like I'm back in the Pacific Northwest where coffee shops like this are ubiquitous. It's amazing that any business can earn nothing but five-star reviews. After stopping at Flyby, I get it. The owner, an active duty Airman, and his daughter, have a passion for customer service. Case in point, on my first visit, I realized when I walked up, that they had closed a few minutes earlier. That didn't stop them from making me a delicious mocha frappe, and I do mean delicious. Fantastic! I stop here quite often to get some go-juice on my morning commute and have never been disappointed. The staff is extremely friendly and truly care about your experience. I generally stick to one or two things (which are always delicious), but they have a pretty extensive drink menu and seem to be up for putting together whatever you can dream up. The food offerings that I have tried are also quite good. I highly recommend the blueberry muffin. It's an experience in itself. So, if you're feeling like a morning pick me up, you'd do right to swing by this local gem. Two thumbs up! read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review yet... I really thought I did... I must not have saved, but I digress. I am from New England, and one thing that I was really surprised about is the lack of customer service in the South. Up North, we're always told about how sweet and friendly Southern people are. However, reality, thus far (99.99% of the time), it has been QUITE to the contrary... except for Flyby. I hadn't realized that I had become accustomed to being treated like crap by the person on the other side of the counter (my sugar and spice having no effect) until I made my first order at the Flyby drive-through. The ladies were so genuinely nice that I they glowed. I heard Angels trumpeting in the distance. Since that first eye-opening visit, I have made several more, and was served by several other ladies - ALL of which were just as genuine as the first person whom took care of me. I still remember kind of being thrown on my first visit by their kindness - that I forget all the different bazillion specials from their website that I liked... when I let her know that it was first time she made several recommendations, after asking me about my preferences. My item was a "Snickers Frappe" and a "Ginger Green Tea Muffin". The frappe was perfectly made. It was thick and silky, but not from drowning it in milk, but from being blended properly - with a complete absence of annoying ice chunks to get stuck in my straw. I was pleasantly surprised to find the muffin warmed to perfection, like a homemade muffin just pulled out of the oven... ignoring the danger of eating while driving... I ate it on the way to work. :) The price, quality, accuracy and customer service far exceed that of Starbucks. There have been multiple times where I've ordered breakfast sandwiches with rotten meat or coffee drinks with rotten soy milk at Starbucks... I am confident that this would never happen at Flyby. Although I am not a Veteran, I am avid military supporter, a military brat and many generations of my ancestors were in the military as well - so I was very happy to find that Flyby supports the military as well, offering the military a discount on their purchases. Even if you forget to ask, don't worry, they will check every time. :) I have highly recommended this spot to my friends and family. I have no doubt that you will be thrilled with your purchase/experience and become a regular customer, like me. If you've read my other reviews, you know I don't give false praise or flattery... so don't hesitate and hit the Flyby!! read more
