Nikki has those skills in abundance. During the exercise portion and at various points when meditation is cultivated, I found her words to be heaven sent: extremely helpful in achieving a desired state of mind. Nikkk also seems genuinely happy when she greets students. This facilitates the experience in the nicest way. I think she is living the dream, and am so happy to share the joy of yoga with her as an aspirational example

Because Guruv Yoga certainly deserves it…read more I started my yoga practice a couple of years ago and wasn't as dedicated as I wanted to be, life got in the way, and I missed out. The day I came back, I was welcomed with open arms. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by Dale - who is always genuinely happy to see you. It's contagious! I have taken classes with almost all of the instructors and they are nothing short of fantastic. Each one has their own style, but they all leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized. I have been able to deepen my practice with the help of the instructors here. I feel more confident and accepting of myself and others. It has truly changed my life. If you're not sure about trying this out, try one of their beginner's monthly passes. I think it's $45 or so and you get to try classes on an unlimited basis to see which classes you like best. They also have a community class on Saturdays at 4 that is $5/donation based. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. It will literally change your life for the better! I felt all stretched out and ready for the day. They even ended the session with a cold scented towel to relax. Everyone was super helpful and nice for my first time. I will definitely be back. There is parking near and i was able to find a spot! They offer mat rentals, towel rentals, and even have a cute shop. Definitely would recommend!!

Always a great morning flow with Cindy!…read more Full Circle is a breath of fresh air always. The staff is always kind and checking in at the front is very quick. There is a no phone policy in the yoga room, so it's the perfect hour to disconnect and recharge and get in a good yoga session. There are assigned spots when you book, but if it's not a full class, they can often be flexible and move your spot around to be near a friend. I love it here!

Katie, the owner, is a wonderful human being who deserves all the accolades for this all-inclusive space. I love that Peaceful Peacock advertises that it is a safe haven for all races, genders, LGBTQ+, and abilities. I also love that they are constantly running deals and specials that make yoga affordable for just about anyone. They even allow you to pay weekly if you want to have a membership. (Invaluable info for people who live paycheck to paycheck and want to improve their physical and mental health here.) They offer chair yoga and are ramp accessible. One of my closest friends is wheelchair bound for life and I notice whether places are accessible everywhere I go because of her. The studio is beautiful and welcoming and mirror-free. Who wants to think about how you look when trying to unplug from the world and recharge? Not this girl. All the instructors are wonderful and I always leave feeling happier and more at peace. Also, in the entrance of the studio is a very cool vintage clothing shop called Dead Lady's Closet. Be sure to check it out.

HOT HOT HOT What…read moreLike the place name, power yoga... The session I joined wasn't so power to me. It was a hot stretch fest. The room is always warm and once you start going your sweat doesn't stop! This was a full 1 hr hot hot yoga stretching, loosen those muscles! I didn't like that so many people were packed into the space. I sat near the wall and wasn't able to stretch my arms out left or right. I didn't like the fact that the instructor wasn't a part of the class, instead she was a walking live CD. She walks and talks and if you don't get the pose, look at your neighbor. There is also no waiting on you. Environment MAKE SURE TO GO EARLY to secure a piece of real estate! Because the space is so small, if you go earlier you get to check-in and pick a spot. I assume they start turning people away once it is packed! There is no online check in to book your spot. They should get online check in.. would suck for someone to go and then be turned away.... I went at 8AM, there was plenty parking outside since it was early. The studio is very very very small. The check in area is where you leave all your items, shoes, keys, phones (they lock the door once classes starts). There are also showers in the back room where you can shower off your sweat! Niceness The instructor was nice. She explained everything to me. I signed my waiver. For any of these poses, if it gets too difficult, you could always just sit in child's pose and join back when ready. You can pause yourself but not the instructor. The show much go on Dollar $ Relatively reasonable. They have drop in classes. All drop in classes are $10 per session. On Sunday it is $8. If you don't have a map, no problem. There are mats available for you to use BUT IT ISN'T FREE! The mats are $1 rental. The first class they give you a complimentary mat (yay!) Yes? Not for me. I don't like crowded place and also I don't like the fact that the instructor is just talking, she isn't helping anyone with the moves. If you don't know the pose, peek at your neighbor and hope they know what they are doing. (fingers crossed) #WendyWanders

Recently I felt the need for yoga to help me process a hard time and saw that there was an Ashtanga primary series class that morning. When you park, just be aware the entrance is in the back of the building. Keep walking and you'll find it! Neil led the class and welcomed us newcomers with kindness and open arms. He was very informative about the style of class and made the series fun as we were sweating our way through the first half of the primary series. I hadn't practiced in a while, but immediately felt comfortable in the space and among the other yogis. I definitely look forward to returning for more Ashtanga classes (Friday mornings) and maybe some self led practice when I feel confident enough!
