Thank you all so much for taking care of my fur baby. on short notice I was sent to Jasper for work…read moreand my usual sitter was not available. Not being from the area and not really knowing much about the place I was a little nervous. I shouldnt have been! They took WONDERFUL care of Punkin and I 100% would recommend them for the doggie day care! would give more than 5 stars if that were an option!

The first time was ok but still very short the second time that groomer did a great job on both my babies. But this last time I literally thought they were bringing out the wrong dog no kidding. I mean they shaved his face and tail why??? They could have at least called me and asked me if I was ok with them shaving as much as they did. My baby has zero hair left. If they didn't want to take the time to try to comb it as much as possible they shouldn't be in business, I don't know who the owner is but clearly I've been warned by others posting this same issue so shame on me for giving them another chance. But most of all shame on the owner for poor business practices, if I could give zero stars I would because this place is over charging way to much to not satisfying their customers

The vet techs are always gentle with our two fur babies and Dr. Stewart takes his time with us - never rushing and thoroughly explaining everything. Our male Springer Spaniel, Charlie has had a lot of problems with ear infections and they were always gentle when taking cultures of his extremely sensitive ears. Their other services include boarding and grooming, which we haven't used yet, and they sell dog food as well. If you're looking for a veterinarian, I wouldn't hesitate recommending them at all.

He was even more than considerate about the charges for the echo and exam. I have never experienced that before in 50 years of caring for cats and dogs. Such an excellent and caring experience. Can't say enough good things about Dr Stewart.

This is a very personal review. I love my dog dearly. His name is Otis Redding. He is a French…read moreBull Dog that is three years old. Otis reactive which means, he gets really excited when he meets human's and other dogs. He is also very protective of my wife and I to whom he spends most of his time with. I have hired several trainers and behaviorists to help us with Otis. Let me be clear, Otis is the best dog we have ever had 95% of the time. It is the other 5% that we want to improve. I also wanted Otis to have a place to be boarded so my family can go on a cruise next year. That is the foundation of my needs and story. I purchased a package for Otis at Creative Dog Training for 20 days of "Interactive Dog Day Care". In addition, I hired them for for sessions of dog training with my wife and I. Please remember, this is not my first rodeo on dog training. Otis has gone for close to 20 visits, Monday through Friday every week. He has made both human and dog friends. Some days, the owner of "Creative Dog Training" sends me a short video on Otis progress. Other days, Otis gets kind of a report card of how he is doing. Brining him from Down Town Birmingham to the Summit area every day has been no fun at all. I choose to do it because it was the only way I could give Otis a deep dose of acclimating him to everyone. Today we did our first session with the owner/trainer. Once Otis walks in the door of CDT, he a zero issues with other dogs and is open to new human friends. The training session is about 1/2 and gave my wife and me so very easy hints on working with my dog at home. CDT is not cheap however anything in life that is worth having has a cost to it. I know have a place to board my dog and a better dog at home. We still have huge improvement needed. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Hope this helps anyone who reads this review.

Which gets to me, I'd like to know the whole price and not be surprised later. So yea..there that!

The dogtors are all very knowledgeable and kind towards the dogs. They know a thing or two because they've seen a thing or two. They give realistic advice and explain dog health in plain language that I can understand. The staff in the front is always very kind, always picks up the phone, and handle checking in and out quickly. They always have kind things to say about Mr. Woody and recognize that they're taking care of somebody's baby! The groomers do a great job. I'd been to groomers before that had nicked an ear or something, but that's never happened with Tiffany at Standifer's. They take great care to trim out the paw pads, express the glands, clean out the ears. All the things that I don't cover in my makeshift home dog bath. Last time I was there, a woman was there picking up her cat named Biggie. Biggie came out in a laundry basket. Big, indeed. Convenient location, easy parking right out front! Standifer's is a great place to take our pawed friends. Woody got his summer cut, no comments about skipping leg day, please. He knows.
