He's 11 lbs, and the photo showed much larger dogs in the same area. He sustained an injury to his eye, and it was not treated on site for days. They said he was fine. He ended up with an ulcer in his eye costing thousands of dollars and months to treat. Luckily, he was young enough to make a full recovery. The biggest issue we had with this place was their lack of communication and seemingly lack of care for their guests. Unless you have a larger, highly sociable dog, I absolutely recommend taking them elsewhere.

Cowboy is a reactive dog (not aggressive) and anxious dog. Ladale has helped us with his reactivity as well as him learning to respect us and trust us. We are most likely going to do another round of classes in the new year. The money was well worth it & Ladale works with you to make sure you get everything you need. His training schedule felt very personalized & organized. We would 10,000 times recommend! He also makes sure every class is fun & doesn't feel like work.

Brandon and Nicole absolutely delivered! I received fun updates, adorable pictures, and even video calls whenever I needed a check-in. The training results were fantastic--Loki now walks calmly on a leash, comes when called, and actually listens to commands! It was exactly what I asked for, and they nailed it. He got to socialize, play in the beautiful turfed yard, and most importantly, he was treated like family. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. With that being said, I could make a LIST of expectations that Copper Cottage Canines met and far exceeded! After getting to know the owners we dropped our boys off for training a few months ago (for context, we have two large pit bulls). The results have been nothing short of incredible. I was even able to get birthday pictures of them with hats on, sitting still with a big steak infront of them, which is extremely impressive if you know my two! I would trust them to walk on a leash with my 80year old grandma! Not only did they help shape better daily behavior and obedience, but they treated my boys with the same love, patience, and care that I would. That kind of trust is rare and priceless. They truly go above and beyond, not just in training but in building a relationship with each dog. Rockee (my oldest) was with them on his birthday. They sent me a video of the whole staff singing happy birthday to him. You can tell this isn't just a job to them--it's a passion and that makes all the difference to me. Business offers training and takes money for it but does NOT do it. There's no telling what they take money for and then don't do it. In the back where customers aren't allowed (for reason) is very nasty and falling apart owner only fixes stuff when it breaks or when the issue becomes bad enough. I've heard of very aggressive dogs being allowed out with other dogs and they get in fights almost everyday. When I was dropping my dog off one time I witnessed one of the fights and it was really bad. All of the dogs was going after one of the dogs trying to come in and sadly only had one, ONE person trying to stop the fight. If they can't get more people to help and they can't control the dogs then I will continue to not recommend this place for the safety of others. I don't want someone's dog getting hurt. My dog no longer goes here!!

When we've forgotten toys there, they've kept them and given them to us the next time - a huge plus in my books. They also will give your dog medicine there if he needs it, which is another added bonus, as well as tell you if they see anything wrong or abnormal with your dog. We already knew Echo was limping, but they made it a point to tell us, which I really appreciated. Maybe they'll open a branch in Trussville soon. I do wish they'd take more pictures and send more of their 'pawgress' reports. We rarely see Echo in any pictures, and he's never gotten one of the reports. Maybe one day...
