Staff: Lupe, my artist, was perfectly responsive, open to ideas and changes, downpayment was easy to make (venmo for me but other options available). My tattoo artist, Rachel was a vibe. Super calm, methodical and patient as I wanted to increase the size of the tattoo after the first stencil placement was down. Very supportive in the decision to redo and wanted me to feel comfortable with the design size and placement. She is such a gem. Would recommend for tight lines, shading, floral work and script. Shouts out. Safety: gloves were worn at all times by the artist, spray bottles were bagged appropriately, ink was dispensed appropriately into small containers and lubricating gels on to single use wooden sticks, steel tray for all supplies was covered in a plastic barrier. Lidded garbages were used. Saran wrap used for a 3 hour barrier after completion and A&D appointment was provided for aftercare. Artist confirmed Blood Borne Pathogen training was taken annually. Environment: inviting, positive, relaxing, chill, clean, well lit, supportive, easy going. Overall: great experience and I'm glad my trust landed in the hands of this shop for a one off tattoo. Price was right. $280 for 2 hrs of needlework not to mention the predesign and communication over text up until I was in the chair. I contacted the shop 26 hrs prior to tattoo design, downpayment, redesign and then sitting in the chair to get a badass tattoo. These people are professional and serious with their art and image. (It's an oleander flower that causes your heart to stop from acute exposure to toxic cardiac glycosides :D yay for poisonous plants!)

I sent her pictures of what I wanted and she said she could do it. We scheduled the appointment for Thursday, July 3 at 4:30. I sent her the deposit of $150 just like I did last time. I got to her shop at 4:25 and no one was there. I sent her a message and she said she was sorry, but she had to go out of town for a personal matter and that her assistant was supposed to message me earlier. She asked if she could call me in one hour, I said yes. She did not call me an hour later. So an hour and a half later I messaged her and told her I just wanted my deposit back. She responded to that message and said that she was planning on coming back into town and rescheduling everyone for Saturday and Sunday despite it being the holiday weekend. However, she did agree to refund my money and said that she would have her accountant Zelle it to me. Three days later, I messaged her because I had not received my refund. She did not respond. A day later, I told her if she did not give me my refund I was going to write this review and pursue any other methods of repayment that I could. Clearly I have not received my money back. I also spoke with another artist who said that my tattoo can't even be covered without being lasered to lighten it first. She is currently holding my deposit hostage, preventing me from moving forward with the laser tattoo removal and cover-up and I am not sure she will ever give it back. So unless you want to find out the hard way, I suggest you keep your money and find another artist.

We searched in the area and found Pur Ink right across the street, what a blessing. Pur Ink was amazing. All my mom wanted for her 50th birthday was a blue jay tattoo to honor her father, they let us walk in and completely accommodated us as walk-ins and were so friendly and kind. I believe he was the manager, but one man who was an artist and Elijah at the front desk was amazing working with my mom to get the size and design she wanted. They called in David for us who was incredible! My mom was so visibly nervous because it was her first tattoo and David really made her feel better. He listened to exactly what she wanted and really worked with her to give her what she wanted, he used a dark grey ink instead of black so her outline wouldn't be so harsh. I had a wave tattoo on my foot that I've wanted to improve for so long, he worked with me to help design how to make it better, drew on my foot and I'm in love with it!! His attention to detail is amazing. This is a wonderful tattoo shop, the customer service is amazing, work stations are incredibly clean and artists sanitize the entire station between customers. my mom said leaving that we're going to send my brother there, and David is certainly my new go-to artist for all my needs!
