First off I thought this was a fun activity and would recommend for anyone wanting to try out some boarding or surfing. I liked that it was just open to your group for the full 30 minutes to test out whatever you wanted. I liked that our instructor once he thought we go things down he would show us different tricks to try. Things I would change. I would have the front desk person give each customers instructions as they enter. I would have appreciated a "ok go on in and the dressing rooms are just in on the right. Once you're ready your group will start on the hour so you can just wait until your group starts." It was just a little confusing for us. Just a couple seconds of added instruction would have made it less awkward. I also think they need to tell you straight up at the desk that coverups are highly recommended because the high powered water can knock off bathing suits. It was posted on the looooong list of rules on the side of the pool, but who really reads that? Left me in a couple very awkward situations. I also think they need more dressing rooms. There are two dressing rooms, and a shower and a bathroom. I cut out early from our allotted time because there were probably 20 girls between the two groups and there was no way I was going to wait in line for that long to get dressed. Just a few annoyances. But overall we enjoyed and would recommend. read more

Wipe out...in Utah? Yes! Come to the simulated surf wave in Utah where you can get on a surf board and attempt to master the water. It is a not only fun crashing into the water, but watching your friend's miserable attempts as well. What is neat about the Flow Rider is that it is a powered jet that forces water onto a cushioned turf so that you are able to ride on one of the boards and get some practice surfing for when you hit the real deal in The Golden State. You do not need to bring your own surfboard. Just get your swimming suit on and a towel and you are set to go! If you have never done this before then I highly recommend it! DO NOT come here during covid. There are no precautions. Instructors don't wear masks and have to get within 6 inches of your face to talk to you because it's so loud. No hand sanitizer and people are packed in at the check in and waiting in line to surf. No enforcing of facemasks anywhere in the building. Understandably not when you're in the water, but no one in the whole building has to wear one. Fun activity, find some sort of deal or coupon to make it cheaper. read more

Fun for everyone!! We had a big family group ages 5- 50 and everyone loved it. Our instructor was super great! Wish I knew her name. She didn't try to yell over the noise, instead she demonstrated what to do and helped everyone at their own level. She was awesome! Definitely coming back! read more

I came here twice! Once as a spectator and second as a participant. It is so so so much fun. It costs 20 dollars for a hour with a one time registration fee of 10 dollars. You will have a chance to use a wakeboarding and skateboard. Bring a shirt and shorts to ensure nothing happens and you don't accidently flash someone. I wish Flowrider was closer to us but we will drive an hour to get to it just because we love it so much. Our children have so much fun and work on coordination. The staff is really accommodating. They go out of their way to create a safe and enjoyable experience. We visited Flowrider this weekend and a staff member spent tons of time helping my son because he told he he really wants to learn to surf. This is the best maintained activity spot I have been to in a long time. read more

The professional riders take up one side almost all day long. Every time I pay my money to come and learn, I can't ever get enough time on the water. The professional riders take up one side of the flow, while there's at least 2 or 3 different parties stuck to another side. I'm always having to wait for 4 or 5 professional riders to stay on the water from 3-4 minutes at a time each. Basically, theres about 10-15 minutes waiting time because of the professional riders, for you to step up and fall within 10-30 seconds. Not worth the money if you actually want to learn and have a good time. read more

Took our son for his first time to flowrider today and he beyond loved it, our side had xandon as the instructor and he was beyond amazing! He taught our son tricks while he was out on the board. If someone went down really fast he would go up and have them go again from the top so they could enjoy it, and one time the board got stuck in the wave and he got on it and he is a complete beast on the wave, he had everyone clapping and loving him, he even went over the other side to help with a little toddler to do the wave, because of the holidays it's way busy but they totally got the group through on both sides really quick so our son went at least 6 or 7 times during his run, it was $30 for his time but will be $20 moving forward which is totally worth it. You can't lose xandon! The girl he was with was a good instructor too but next to xandon no one would be able to compare!!! Only complaint is make the kid get a Venmo, so he gets the tips he deserves! My kid wants his birthday party in May there and wants xandon as the instructor. He had a smile from ear to ear the whole time! Awesome job flowrider! By the way I saw a review about the whole mask thing, it's beyond humid in there obviously and you already feel like you can't breath! Both of the instructors were wearing masks as much as possible unless they were going too get in the water and get them wet, which honestly is beyond amazing because they are moving around and breathing in chlorine filled humid air all day. everyone in there stayed apart from each other 6 feet unless they were in a group read more

Super fun when you actually get a turn in the water. They allow way too many people per session to make it worth the money.
