Our first time here the bartender Tori was covering both the bar and tables due to being short staffed and still stayed on top of everything. This the third time I have been there. The food is very good. Better then many of the bars in the area. Place had a good crowd last night and more people were coming in late night too. Good music. Decided to check FTP out today and did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I came in to play some Keno and have a few drinks. We noticed a packed bar upon entering, but the nice gentleman of a bartender (dayshift) assured us new spots opening soon and offered us a drink anyway. Not even 5 minutes, we found two seats together. After a little play, we decided to order food to go. I ordered the Hurricane pasta and my boyfriend ordered the bacon bleu cheese burger. The portions are large and very shareable...we opted for appetizers however I noticed the good coming out of the kitchen snd the entrees looked yummy and plenty. We WERE regulars for months and the level of service has declined dramatically. The servers have become complacent, and many of my friends are not returning either. In Fact the wings are probably the worst in the city if I had to compare. The nachos were cold and cold nachos is not a good thing. The atmosphere is great. The little light house on the beer tap is awesome. The sea windows are cute. Our server was MIA when we wanted to order and it would have been understandable our whole party wasn't there yet but we informed her we were going to go ahead and order before they got there. She went MIA after we got our food then appears twice in a one minute period wanting to close our tab because she's leaving... okay no problem. She maybe didn't inform anyone and left. We didn't get a new server and had to wave another down to order more drinks. Food wise it was alright. We ordered the caulifire grilled cauliflower with buffalo sauce. Pretty sure it was steamed and doused in buffalo sauce. Fish and chips were decent. The salmon sandwich was a whole a* filet on a bun. It was decent with the coleslaw or whatever sauce was on it. They have an awesome mixed drink maker named Tim and their manager named Tina were outstanding in making sure our dinner and drinks were great. Being locals to the area we decided on checking out this fairly new location. Awesome inside, great theme and food looks good. Drink menu definitely needs work. We got 6 drinks between the two of us and gambled at the machines for a bit. Biggest down side is being a newbie completely ignored and staff focused on regulars. I understand having regulars and have been in the service industry myself but ignoring new customers to probably comp things for a tip wasn't a good experience. Not enough stars!!! We were delighted walking in the door at 3:00PM today. It's a new place so we set our standards very high. We were told seat ourselves, so we picked a table by the door. Our server Tabby? ( sorry if I got that wrong, my hearing isn't the best.) was friendly and very helpful guiding us through the menu. After gliding through the choices ( it was happy hour ) we settled on a happy hour slider order, and a fish and chips dinner. When the food came out we were amazed! The helpings were sufficient and then some. The chips are unique. They looks hand sliced with a wafer cutter. They carry a coating and come with Ranch dressing. Delicious! The sliders were a nice size, with chips and pickle. I only had a taste so it must've been good. The fish and chips were a good pile of chips with 5 pieces of beer battered cod. They came with a side that I had never been offered before, bleu cheese slaw. It was absolutely delicious. Then we were offered dessert!! They offered a choice of sundaes or strawberry shortcake. We picked the shortcake.... She brought out 2 spoons. Good reason. 4 cinnamon coated cakes with berries and whipped cream, and a good scoop of vanilla ice cream. Missing. Strawberries.
