Edgar is the BEST!!!! My wedding was in 9/4/16. He dealt with me so well, I feel like I was just overwhelmed and didn't know what I wanted. He asked me to show him pins or photos of what I wanted. I let him know my budget and he took it from there. I didn't stress at all about decor, I let him own it! He did do a mock set up for me so I have an idea of what my tables will look like. My wedding took place in February 2017. Edgar has beautiful creations and he works with your wedding budget which I definitely liked. He has so many ideas. You can create whatever flower design you want! I sent him some pins from Pinterest of arrangements I gravitated toward and we setup an appointment to view a mock table centerpiece. He got it on the first try! Edgar also created beautiful draping for behind our sweetheart table. I was little hesitant because it was another added cost, but I'm glad we did because it looked beautiful in our pictures when we took pics with all of our family and friends. Without the draping, everyone would have been taking pics of my husband and I with an exit sign in the background. Edgar was very easy to work with. I couldn't give him more than three stars because there were some hiccups on the day of the wedding. Edgar's crew was an hour late to arrive at the venue. My venue was in Santa Clara so it wasn't too far away from his warehouse. I assigned a couple of my groomsmen to wait in the lobby for Edgar's crew so they can take the boutonnieres up to the guys for pictures. We had a tight schedule that day with the photographers, so it was an inconvenience. They should up just in time when the bridesmaids and I finished getting ready and begin pictures. Some of the boutonnieres fell apart when the groomsmen were pinning them on. I gave this feedback to Edgar and he said he'll keep that in mind for future weddings. read more

So I should have written this review a year and a half ago. Edgar was absolutely AMAZING! We met with him less than a month before our wedding with few ideas about how to decorate. He was very attentive and was excited to hear what few ideas we had. He met up with us at our venue, the Cypress Hotel. He took one look at the room, talked with us for about 10 minutes and arranged to meet again the following week. When we met for the second time, he brought 4 or 5 different table setups and mixed and matched until we loved every detail. On the day of, Edgar showed up early and began setting up in an adjacent room as there was another event the morning of. He personally delivered the corsages and boutonnieres to our rooms! Then he went to work! When we came back to the hotel for the reception, everything was PERFECT! He did such an amazing job! We had uplights along the walls and each table was decorated beautifully. People still talk today (a year and a half later!) about how beautiful everything was! I truly appreciate Edgar for everything that he did to make our special day that much more special! When it came time to plan my wedding, I found Edgar through the preferred vendor list at The Sainte Claire - and he was personally recommended by a friend who had previously had her wedding held there. There is no doubt that Edgar has talent, and his creations are gorgeous! I love his website and his pictures and it shows form Yelp that he is a joy to work with. While I love his creativity, I am a bit disheartened once meeting for our initial consultation for my wedding flowers. Once I mentioned my budget Edgar seemed a bit frustrated. He is a very kind and sweet person. What I did not appreciate was his sister trying to convince me to spend a lot of money on flowers, on quality flowers. Edgar was very understanding and even told me that sometimes the vendors and clients don't match and he is well aware of that. Like I said the motive for my review is really the fact that his sister told me to spend money on my special day because it was worth it, because I would "want people to remember how perfect and beautiful" the wedding was. After several attempts to convince me to shell out money, I told his sister that I would rather save that money for a down payment on a house or a nice vacation and she did not seem content with my response (I could only take so much badgering). Edgar and I talked about different ideas to save, including having a close friend of my mother-in-laws hand-make the bouquets we needed. He agreed as long as the flowers did not come from another vendor. Edgar said he would send me the proposal a few days later and it actually took a few weeks. While he was very nice and polite I felt like I was treated with less importance or attention because I was a client on a budget. His quote was like other vendors (around the $3,500 - $4,000 range). AMAZING!!!! Our wedding was on August 24, 2013. So it was just a month ago. I have to say during a year of wedding planning, we were blessed to have met Edgar and Argie. Everything began when we came to Dolce Hayes Mansion to check out the venue. We met Edgar there working on a wedding. He was super friendly from the first moment we approached him just to ask his information just in case we would need later. After we decided to have our wedding reception at the Hayes Mansion, Jo Ann (the Sales/Event Manager) recommended Edgar to us even thou they have several vendors to choose from. We met Edgar again and got introduced to his sister (also his partner) Argie. He wrote down for us the locations and dates of all his upcoming events. And guess what, we managed to come to most of them (because I am pretty picky about this, and it is so fascinating to see how Edgar and Argie and their team turn things so amazingly beautiful). Edgar and Argie are not only super talented but they always bring super positive energy to people. We always came in the middle of their super busy work, but they were always very excited and sweet. I swear I always felt so good when I met them. Looking at their various decoration settings and flowers, we picked up little details from here and there. Shortly after that we officially booked him for our wedding. We told him our budget and he sent us a proposal. We started to plan in January when I sent him the types of flowers and decorations that I like. And early February, we met up at Hayes Mansion where he displayed 3 tables with 3 different types of centerpieces for us to choose from. And they were all awesome, but my fiance at the time and I still wanted change here and there, combine certain things together. And Edgar was soooo sweet. He listened to everything and tried to work out what best for us. A month before our wedding, we came to his house to finalize all the details. OMG, We sat there forever. And at this point of planning, Edgar already figured out my personality and what type of bride I was. He knew I did not like bling bling and that I liked earthy looking bouquet. It was SOOO MUCHHH easier when your florist tried to get to know you and understand your personality. You don't have to try so hard to tell them what you like and end up not having exactly what you want. During the last few weeks before my wedding, Edgar and I texted back and forth a lot even at mid-night, he would totally answer me with smiley faces. And when I told him I wanted to do candy bar, and I have bought certain things, he tried to help me out by finding what he had so I didn't have to spend more money at Michael's. Before I made my final decision on something I wanted to order from Etsy, I would send him a link and ask for his opinions. Yes, I trusted him that much because he has made me feel like a close friend and someone who understands and knows what I want and tries to make my dream wedding come true. More than that, Edgar also talked me out of stressing out. He wanted me to stay calm and enjoy the process and the day. He kept asking "what else do you want to do, what can I help you" I love Edgar and Argie's work. I love to see them. They are truly awesome in their work and their personalities. I know they work with their hearts and they also treat people with their hearts not just money like a lot of people out there. That's why we appreciated them so much. They started to work on our wedding reception ball room since Thursday ( our wedding was on Saturday). I stopped by on Thursday, and they kicked me out. LOL. They came to hug me but sent me out because I was not supposed to see. On the day of, Edgar delivered the bouquets and boutonnieres to my room. He did text me before he came that he changed my bouquet a bit to surprise me. Guess what, it was so beautiful. It was something I grew up imagining myself holding on my wedding day. In the afternoon, I met Edgar in front of the ball room of our reception, and he said he would come get me when they were done. During cocktail hour, he came out and walked me in. My heart started to beat faster, and the moment he opened up the ball room for me, my eyes started to tear up. They have brought such an amazing moment to my life. Everything looked gorgeous!!!! Edgar is absolutely amazing! He will make your event pure perfection. So talented! A guest told me that it was my flowers that put my wedding over the top. Listen to his advice though. He changed my vision a little bit only to make it better. Don't look at the numbers so much, he may be able to give you ideas on how to make your budget work.
