I swear it is like they just dumped a bunch of random stuff on an over sized thick hamburger bun and called it a steak burger. The steak was cut on small thin strips and was WAY over cooked and dry. There was also a piece of basic deli ham, raw cabbage, ketchup, some mayo sauce and a huge pile of tasteless crunchy potato strings that did not compliment the sandwich at all. The piece of muenster cheese was not even melted. The huge bun was way too much bread and it was way too salty. I couldn't eat it. I tried picking a few pieces of meat off but threw most of it away and had to go to a different restaurant for a proper meal. Very disappointed. A friend ordered 2 apps which both turned out to be fried cheese. She was also disappointed.

We were impressed with the FREE samples and inquired and was told that we could find them in SouthPark mall outside of Nordstrom at their kiosk. We would make frequent trips to SouthPark just to indulge in the yummy sweet potato cupcake, Strawberry cupcake, pecan tart and more. I've even used Jewel Treats for events to handle our baked goods. The taste is definitely 5 star taste and flavor, I am only giving 4 starts because of price and accessibility with the new location being here in uptown (not that new I think they have been there for 2 years by now) also the fact that I live SOUTH south Charlotte and when I order I haven't been able to get my items delivered to me all the way to my home it's always a meet up situation which isn't cool as I would like door service if it's said to be offered. I texted the owner right away to check if I'd somehow gotten the wrong cake, but never heard back. Once we actually cut into it, the disappointment continued: the sponge was basic chocolate, but the icing and filling were plain and overly sweet. I reached out again the next day, first by text and then by phone, hoping to sort it out. Instead of acknowledging the mix-up, she told me the issue was my communication - even though I have proof of my request over texts and she'd verbally agreed to both the flavor and icing herself. When I asked how she planned to make it right, she offered 15% off a future order, not a refund or redo for the $60 cake I'd already paid for. For a "specialty" cake business, this fell short on flavor, consistency, and basic follow-through when something went wrong. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Once we decided on them (chocolate and vanilla with vanilla buttercream), she made legos and lego men cupcake toppers out of chocolate and fondant 5s and 2s (for my boys' ages). And they had festive lego-colored confetti on them. They were ADORABLE! Picking them up was really easy and they were ready when I arrived. The cake was really moist with the perfect level of sweetness, and had really delicious chocolate and vanilla flavor. I was even MORE impressed with the frosting, which managed to be rich and decadent and yet light and fluffy at the same time! QUITE Reasonable considering global supply chain demands, the knock-on effects of COVID-19, and the struggles associated with changing populations and demographics. If only it didn't take 17 left-hand turns to get there. But that's not ALDI'S fault, and I assure you the drive is worth the trouble. The secret sauce at this grocery store is clearly in its management. Somehow despite the hiring challenges everyone else is facing, they have secured helpful, charming, and kind workers to staff the place. Take note ye OTHER retail establishments of Sun Valley.
