For Valentine's Day this year, I got my girlfriend flowers from Flowers Atlanta. She loves them. Flowers Atlanta is located in Buckhead and has been around for over 30 years. If they've been around for that long, they must be doing something right. I found these guys through a Google search and landed on their Yelp page which had only four reviews, but all were five stars. Over the years, I've tried out various florists and flower delivery services in the Atlanta area, specifically for flower delivery. Flowers Atlanta is the eighth different place I've tried: https://www.yelp.com/list/florists-and-flower-delivery-atlanta. Based on my experience, I'd say they're solid (most of the ones I've tried have been). How does Flowers Atlanta compare to the competition? They compare favorably in two ways: 1. They have among the best flower delivery fees that I've seen in Atlanta. They charged me only $10 to deliver flowers this week (Valentine's week). The lowest I've been charged was $9.99 from Peachtree Petals. Florist Atlanta charged me $12, Buckhead Wright's Florist charged me $12.95, and Carithers Flowers charged me $14.99. Flowers Atlanta's delivery fee changes based on location so it can be as little as $9 (deliver to Buckhead) to as much as $15 (Marietta). Flowers Atlanta is the first company that I can recall that actually called my girlfriend to let her know that flowers had been delivered for her and where she could find them. I thought that was nice. Flowers Atlanta's website is fairly standard. All these florists' websites are about the same. They seem to use the same template. Flowers Atlanta is part of the FTD network (Florists' Transworld Delivery), one of many major flower delivery/floral wire service companies. My Valentine's flowers last year were purchased from Buckhead Wright's who uses Teleflora. I was able to quickly find a bouquet that I liked for my girlfriend. I chose the FTD Sweet Beginnings bouquet. It comes with white hydrangea, hot pink roses, pink Gerbera daisies, and pink Peruvian lilies accented with seeded eucalyptus. The vase was supposed to be a hot pink ceramic cylinder vase, but what was delivered was a clear glass vase. My girlfriend actually prefers the clear glass vase to the pink one shown on the website and she likes it a lot better than the vase that came with her flowers last year (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/buckhead-wrights-florist-atlanta-2?select=ig5wAJqSGJwz5AO9FjjomQ). I like the vase and flowers too. The flowers were delivered on time, fresh, and in good condition. The bouquet was compact and neatly and beautifully arranged. The flowers have little fragrance to them, especially when compared to flowers I've ordered in the past. The arrangement does look a little generic, but part of that is on me for selecting them and the flowers are FTD. No flower food came with the flowers. The total cost of the arrangement was $54.99 plus the $10 delivery fee plus $5.20 in taxes, so $70.19 total. The overall price is comparable to what I've paid in the past, though I feel like I could have gotten more bang for the buck elsewhere (e.g. Peachtree Petals). In the end, Flowers Atlanta came through for me this Valentine's Day. read more

A friend ordered flowers and chocolates to be delivered for my birthday to my office. The flowers were delivered at almost 4:30 p.m. and did not include the chocolates that were ordered with the flowers. My friend called and the customer service rep apologized and said the chocolates would be delivered the next day. I get a call today, Friday, from the florist asking if I am going to be in the office today so they can deliver the chocolates (3 days late). I call back and inform them that I am in the office until 5 p.m. It is now 4:13 p.m. and still no chocolates. This is very bad customer service. My friend wanted to do something special for my birthday and Flowers Atlanta did not come close to meeting expectations. I was trying to send my mother some flowers for her birthday and came across this place that claimed to offer same day deliveries. It sounded great because this place is literally, literally a three minute drive to my mom's office straight down the road. Despite placing the order at 10:45 am with a same day delivery guaranteed, I received a call at 5:30 pm saying they got to the office too late because of "traffic" and did not make the delivery. I understand businesses get busy but there is no excuse for not being able to make a delivery half a mile away within 7 hours when same day deliveries are guaranteed.
