My Yelp search for a wedding florist last year led me to select two in particular I wanted to call and actually meet with. Petals A Florist was the first place my (then) fiance (now hubs) and I checked out, and we knew soon after meeting with just one other highly-rated florist that we were going to choose Petals for our wedding flowers. Tim Miller, the owner of Petals A Florist, was a pleasure to meet and work with. For the first meeting with him, Tim was kind enough to meet with us slightly past his usual business hours since my fiance worked 1.5 hours from Atlanta and needed time to get to drive up to his shop after work. We went in with a few ideas from Pinterest, which we showed Tim on our iPad, and he quickly proceeded to tell us his ideas and show us examples of the types of flowers he could use in the various arrangements we wanted. With the intention of keeping my wedding flowers to a minimum as we were working on a budget, I envisioned simple yet elegant arrangements. Even though this meant that we were not going to be ordering an exorbitant amount of flowers for a June wedding, there was not even a moment during our communications with Tim or his staff when we felt pressured to order more than what we had originally wanted. Tim is very detailed, and we really appreciated that he put so much thought into creating my bridal bouquet from just the few ideas I had expressed. He also requested that I send him photos of my wedding dress to ensure that my bouquet would complement it! Below is just one example of the incredibly detailed descriptions he provided in the pricing proposal: "The bridal bouquet will be primarily white tones with a splash of small, deep navy blue flowers and a complement of silver foliage accents. It will be primarily flowers and medium to smaller in size. White garden roses will be one of the principle flower varieties along with opulent white hydrangea heads. The dark blue tones will be provided by dark blue, bella donna delphinium. Dusty miller foliage and silver berzilia will provide the silvery foliage accents and give the bouquet a very updated feel. The stems will be gathered and wrapped with a finished satin ribbon in a tone to match the wedding gown. The bouquet might also include white ranunculus, white stock or another white floral variety or two. But the design will not be weedy or too garden styled, rather clean and crisp with no excess foliage or green leaves." The final cost, including delivery and installation, for all of our wedding flowers was very reasonable considering the quality and beauty of the bouquets and other arrangements we ordered. We had initially paid a deposit of $400 to book Petals A Florist for our wedding, and the deposit was applied towards the final total, which was due a week before the wedding date. I absolutely loved my bridal bouquet (described in detail above), and I had also ordered a "toss bouquet," a smaller and simpler version of the bridal bouquet. We also had the following floral arrangements for our wedding: * Bridesmaids' bouquets * Groom's, Groomsmen's, and Ring Bearer's boutonnieres * Fathers' boutonnieres * Mothers' and Grandmother's dress corsages * Flower girl basket with silk rose petals * Ceremony aisle flowers Last but not least, we ordered "floral spray and clusters" arrangements to decorate our wooden arbor displayed during our wedding ceremony. (Note: Petals A Florist is able to rent the use of a wooden arbor, but we ended up buying our own from Lowe's.) It was absolutely stunning! My husband and I couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out. On our wedding day, Tim was very prompt and showed up even before our wedding coordinator had arrived at the venue. My husband and I loved how every single one of the flower arrangements turned out! The only thing that upset me was that Petals A Florist had used a purple ribbon on my flower girl's basket instead of dark blue (which was correctly used on my bridesmaids' bouquets). (Note: Our wedding colors were navy blue and silver.) I'm not sure how this detail was missed but when mentioned to Tim, he told me he had thought the ribbon was blue. Unfortunately, by the time I saw the flower girl's basket (right before the wedding ceremony), it was too late for Tim (or anyone) to go out and get blue ribbon, so that was that. Overall, Petals A Florist gets 4.5 stars for their excellent customer service and amazing wedding flower arrangements. Thank you very much, Tim! However, I did feel strongly enough about the incorrect color ribbon used on my flower girl's basket, so I had to knock off 1/2 a star. But other than that, I would highly recommend Petals A Florist to my family and friends in the Atlanta area and wouldn't hesitate to go to them again for future floral needs! read more

We worked with Tim Miller at Petals to do the flowers for our wedding, and could not have been happier. It was truly a pleasure to work with them from start to finish, and I would recommend Petals in a heartbeat to anyone with floral needs. We met with Tim initially and discussed design ideas and budget. He then sent us two proposals based on what we discussed with different price points. Working with him to plan everything for our wedding was a true design process, and he was totally flexible. I didn't want any roses, but I wanted all white flowers, and he came up with amazing and creative designs that satisfied all of my requirements. Petals provided all of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages, but flowers for the ceremony, aisle markers, and all of the table-scapes for the reception. Petals found the perfect glassware for the reception tables, which really made them an amazing, full-service florist. The Petals staff delivered all flowers, assisted with bouquet and boutonniere holding and wearing, set up the flowers and candles on the tables, put the cake topper on - basically made sure everything was perfect. And better yet, they came back at the end of the night and packed everything up so no one had to worry about it. They called a few weeks later to arrange a delivery of all the glassware purchased for the wedding. My family uses PaF almost exclusively. The flowers are always just picked fresh and arranged beautifully. I've never had a bad experience and know that when the recipient receives the flowers, orchids or other plant, I know that it's the freshest and brightest. They are definitely not the cheapest; but, if you want a stale, dry, pre made arrangement, call 800 flowers or ftd and pay almost the same amount. Beautiful, gorgeous, amazing, I cannot use enough positive adjectives to describe Tim and Petals a Florist. As soon as the pictures from my wedding are available I will be posting them. From the first consultation I knew I was in great hands with Tim. I had gone through 6 other vendors before my wedding planner Daria with Circle of Love Weddings recommended Tim. He sat down in his beautiful shop and asked me very detailed questions about what my desires were for the wedding an reception. He was very knowledgeable about all of the different flowers, the vendors I had chosen, and how to execute the idea in my head. It was also nice to have the meeting in his store because he was able to pull flowers and ribbon he would use so I could touch and see everything. In the months to follow he kept in contact with me concerning pictures of my bridesmaids and groomsmen suits so that he could match the flowers. He was also mindful the entire time of my budget and gave me multiple options to go above or below the budget. What made him truly unique is I love succulents. I had planted 150 succulents as favors to my guests. My dad and I planted 15 wooden boxes with succulents. I wanted to incorporate those into my wedding. He had no problem incorporating the boxes and even adding onto the boxes. He added beautiful stems of flowers and bottles all about. He added votive to the table. Each arrangement he made was gorgeous and had twinkle lights throughout. The best part, Tim was so nice and stored the left over boxes, bottles, and even gave me all of the bows he had made for the pews. When my husband and I came back from our honeymoon we were able to pick them up from him. That generosity went above and beyond. We will be using him for every occasion. My husband had been using Petals A Florist to buy and send me beautiful and unique flower arrangements to my office for years before we got married. Every time I myself and my colleagues were so wowed by the unique design, beauty and artistry. I picked the red rose as the main flower with the theme of contemporary with Asian fusion, and wanted every table to have a different design and arrangement. I wanted to be wowed by a design that's "outside of box" but still beautiful and classic. I only asked to see the design of my bouquet and the buffet table center piece before hand. For the rest, I asked Tim (and trusted him) to surprise me, and so did he! Tim and his team totally exceeded my expectations (believe me, it is not easy)!! The flower arrangements were so beautiful and stunning! Every table had its own piece of art. The container he chose for each table was also unique, fits with my theme and "outside of the box" as I requested. When I was walking down the isle, the beautiful arrangement framed the ceremony perfectly. We gave all the table center pieces to the mothers (since the next day was the Mother's Day), and every mother "fought" their right to get one as it was so unique, inspiring and beautiful. Guests, till this day, were still praising the flower arrangements they saw on my wedding. I myself dried the buffet table center piece and kept it. When I had house parties, I'd fill it with fresh flowers and floating candles to try to replicate the effect of my wedding day. It still gets lots of "wows" from my guests. This morning I had an email from one of the partners in our firm requesting that a flower arrangement be delivered by 11:00AM today to a client.
