Flower Trends is great for that last minute special bouquet, or that one rose for that breakfast plate. This is a great little shop, staff is a great help and creative. You can have the surprise factor as well, with the delivery service. This spot has those special little gifts you might, balloons, stuffed animals, and fruit baskets.

This is a nice little flower shop on Quinpool Road. You can jump in and out in no time flat, grabbing a pre-fab arrangement, or you can chat with a friendly worker and create your own ideal bouquet. Like most flower shops, Flower Trends delivers and also sells little gifts, like tiny teddies and cards. I recently received a bundle of colorful tulips bought at Flower Trends. They were in great shape and lasted for about a week. This place seems like your average Flower joint. I recommend surprising someone you care about with a colorful bouquet, reminding them that Spring is just around the corner!

Recently I felt the urge to purchase flowers for my girlfriend. Generally I don't like the idea of flowers as a gift; they are quick to wither and seem a little expensive for such a short term gift, but she likes them so I knew I would have to give in eventually. I stopped into Barrington Florist on my lunch break and had a chat with one of the workers. I told her I wanted flowers (very specific, I know) and she began to ask questions only an expert would ask: What's the occasion, what are her favorite colors, what is your budget, etc. I had no idea there was such a science to putting together a bouquet! After I gave her a little information she suggested some nice options at a price I expected to pay. It's not the cheapest thing in the world, but it's definitely worth it. The Barrington Florist is not greatly located and I wonder if many people know it exists deep in the lower levels of the Bell/Aliant building. It's also really crowded and somewhat over stocked, but I guess that means you're just more likely to get what you're looking for. I'm still not totally sold on the idea of flowers as a gift, but if I'm ever so moved to pick some up again, I know where to go. And because I'm sure you're all wondering, yes, she loved the flowers and yes, I am the greatest boyfriend on earth.

I was impressed that I received a call right away to confirm that was not a mistake (thank you because you never know these days if someone has stolen your credit card or that you hit the back button and ordered twice by accident). That was much appreciated! And it was nice to know someone is at the store to assist if you need human interaction. And as one of the items was sold out, she recommended a suitable replacement and without hassle, the item was substituted. Delivery was prompt and products were received in good condition. So... I will definitely order here from now on.

Well, last weekend I figured I'd do some adventure-shopping which led me to this little hideaway. Once you open the door, you'll be surprised by what you find. Unlike the pretty unremarkable exterior, the inside is kind of adorable with a section dedicated to festive teddy bears greeting you at the door. It's all very 'country kitchen' but that's a relief when you don't know if you're walking into a flower boutique or a total dive. Staff were friendly, helpful, and quite lovely as I checked out some of their premade bouquets and pretended for a minute I could come up with something unique from the mix-and-match selection. Spoiler: I couldn't. So I walked out with a nice glass globe holding some stones, watery greens, and a Gerbera daisy for $20. Modern, simple, and a nice way to celebrate a dose of Spring in the middle of February!
