Every time I have called, the staff have been so friendly and accommodating. I have made requests such as 'unconventional arrangement, in a vase', 'something with lots of color and, oh, can you also add some chocolate?'... Last week was my M.I.L's BDay. I called mid afternoon for 'a planter arrangement' to be delivered that day - the lady I spoke to on the phone explained how many varieties they could fit in for what price. I truly appreciate great service and I feel I get it every time from Dean's! M.I.L called that evening to express just how beautiful the planter was. Thank you Dean's. Tracy at Dean's Flowers spoke to me on the phone and by email until we nailed down beautiful beautiful flowers. They lasted over a day - we had to pick them up the day before the morning wedding because we transported them to Grand Pre on the North coast. Bouquets looked amazing two days later when we boarded the plane for NY. Amazing. In the end, they came in $80 under my budget max....so impressive. If you live in Halifax, are getting married in Nova Scotia, I highly recommend Tracy and the team at Dean's.

They're still figuring the space out, but they have some beautiful succulents, cacti and other small green plants out for your purchasing desires. They had some of the most beautiful plant pots I'd seen waiting to be shelved as well - so I am VERY excited to see what they bring in. The retail space only has the one window at the front, but it feels bright anyway. There is a lot of warmth in their space with natural woods and a stone or granite counter top (I didn't pay that close attention, just got a general feeling). The ladies running the shop are so nice, I look forward to coming back once they get fully set up.

From the live plants to the graphic socks, knick knacks and local artwork. They also carry cruelty-free and vegan soaps and other interesting items. Upstairs is a bright cozy coffee shop with indoor swings and a beautiful mural of a the map of Cole Harbour/Dartmouth. Lots of seating and more gift items line the wall. They offer oat, soy and almond milk for drinks and carry Staff of Life's vegan pakoras and veggie samosas. They also carry a vegan energy ball and Moo Free Chocolate. They used to also carry Vandal's vegan doughnuts but sadly don't anymore because they said they weren't selling which is a shame cause if I had of known I would have supported that and told others about it too but that's okay. I love the matcha with soy and that's enough to make me happy. The staff has been fantastic the 2 times I've been there. Extremely friendly and helpful. I just find it a really happy place to chill and get a hot drink. Definitely one of my new favourite spots.
