Edible Arrangements is a store that specializes in putting together an arrangement of fruits that resemble a flower arrangement. The fruit is freshly placed into a pot or a bowl (depending on what you choose). The arrangement that you pick depends on what occasion you are shopping for. For example, I went in during the Easter season and they had arrangements in there shaped like a bunny's head with yellow ribbon surrounding the basket that had the fruit in it. The arrangement was truly magnificent! They are somewhat expensive, but worth every cent...especally when you're looking for a thoughtful gift but aren't sure what to get. I recently purchased an arrangement for a lady I work with who had a baby. I knew she probably received a number of flower arrangements so when I brought her the fruit bouquet, she was very excited! What a great shop! Edible arrangments makes the BEST bouquets.. the kind you can eat! EA creates beautiful arrangements with all kinds of different fruit. There are a number of different arrangements you can choose from depending on the occasion. They will usually have certain arrangements for certain holdiays and such. The fruit bouquets are an awesome alternative to flowers, and will probably be a little more enjoyable. The best part is they always have some pre-made so that if you need to make up for something you can do it with a unique idea which may get ya out of the dog house a little faster. But not only that, they make a great gift for an anniversary (hello, chocolate covered strawberries!!), birthdays, christmas whatever... Edible Arrangements are not cheap, but are well worth the dough. I can understand why they charge what they do - no one else does it and people will pay for it because the quality.. and love .. is there. I ordered online from my home on Vancouver Island, for a Mothers Day arrangement to be delivered May 3 to my. mum in Halifax. A bit early, but my parents spend most of their time at the cottage, where delivery is not available, and were to spend a few days at their condo in Halifax, where it is available. I received a call from Edible Arrangements, double checking on the delivery date I had selected, as it was to be delivered a week before Mothers Day. Had ok experience with them once, and then just TERRIBLE second experience with them, leaving me to believe that they are over priced and overall, really really poor business practice. I purchased an arrangement with them and redeemed a teambuy ticket to receive $40 off (sounds like a great deal, right?). First off, the cashier did not even know how to ring in the ticket. That really wasn't the problem. In an effort to solve the situation - we paid upfront for the item (which was well over $100 for a standard fruit arrangement) and then gave them our information for them to contact us regarding the refund. Easy enough, right? WRONG. It took them over a week and multiple phone calls before the value was refunded back to my credit card. No one called to bother inform us of whether we were getting our money back. Secondly, their coupon had a sneaky term which forces you to pay $12.00 in order for you to complete your order with a coupon. Sneaky, sneaky. This is the just the pure administrative disaster that is Edible Arrangements. The items themselves are really really over priced. With everything included it is well worth over $100. In terms of value too - you are not really getting a lot of fruit either (60 pieces maybe). I wanted something CREATIVE and went to Edible Arrangements. Save your money and go to Pete's Frootique. I went into their Clayton Park store last week and ordered an arrangement and asked for it to be delivered to an office on Monday. All went well with the transaction and I was confident that would go well. I checked today at 2:45 to see if it was delivered and there was some confusion to the delivery and was told it would be delivered after another delivery, I quickly said the office was closed at 3:00 she said she would check on it. Called back after 3 and was told the delivery guy was on the way when I had called at 2:45. I expressed my displeasure that it would have been nice to have had it delivered earlier in the day so they could enjoy it not at closing time. All I got in a response was we do our best. Not good enough when your paying over 100 dollars plus delivery for a service that got messed up. I was very disappointed and will not be ordering from them again! I agree with a previous reviewer I will stick to Pete's. Sorry Edibles, I liked the idea of the nutritious fruit as an alternative to flowers but the service not so much. read more
