It is a 'bespoke' florist and you can see the difference as soon as you walk in - they sell a lot of exotic flowers, orchids, things like that. Up to as many as 50 different types of flowers, most imported from Holland this is where to go for something a bit different. The shop itself, never mind the beautiful flowers that provide handy decoration, is sophisticated in its own way despite the traditional tudor style black and white exterior. Lots of stylish reds and whites and the whole thing just brightened up both the shopping centre and my day. There were little signs saying to feel free to mix and match and have a look/ work with different arrangements and as I was having a look, a couple were doing just that with a few stems in hand. Flower arranging is supposed to be one of the more delicate and complex arts yet they were just going for it, joking and considering. Va Va Bloom will be just what I need when I have a clean, tidy, pretty apartment in the centre of town. Flowers everywhere if I could have my way.

I love the minimalist layout of the interior which make the bouquets, vases and gifts jump out at you. The owners obviously are very keen interior designers too and they've done a great job. You can choose your own blooms to create the perfect bouquet or purhcase one of their spectacular arrangements. The colours combinations are so vibrant. You can tell a lot of love and talent has gone into each one and the best bit is they start at just £20! The gifts also appeal to every pocket, with candles, vases and hand made jewellery starting at only a few pounds. This florist really is a breath of fresh air.

Although not a standard combination I actually think that selling flowers, hats and fascinators in the same shop somehow makes sense. Maybe because the fascinators are so flowery, or maybe it just feels right to see so many pretty things in one place! This shop has recently opened and has yet to put up a sign, but the interior is very inviting, with a minimalist whitewashed look, a large display of hats and fascinators and some beautifully presented flowers. The hats and fascinators are large and flamboyant and adorned with feathers flowers and bows. Perfect for the races (if you're into that sort of thing) or a wedding. The milliner who creates these wonders does a bespoke hat-making service and specialises in creating pieces for weddings. Bouquets are made to order and are sure to impress!

Being fortunate enough to work practically in the forest (my work base is right out in the countryside) I have to catch the bus through Oakwood on a Mon-Weds. As such I'm always staring out of the bus window, eyes glazed over in the morning light, trying not to fall asleep. One fine morning I realised that this place was re-opening and so decided to nip in on my way home! What a delight. It's a bit of a random mix, flowers and fascinators, but then if you are a creative person you'll know what it's like to have more than one outlet for your imagination. The shop may only be in its infancy, but that doesn't mean there are few items to browse - oh no. With a back wall dedicated to a range of exquisite fascinators one could simply stand for an age taking in all of the detail. There are large ornate pieces, with huge illustrious peacock feathers and bright colours, to a more modest set of hair comb based feathered creations. Literally something for everyone and with a price range of £30 - £100+ this could not be more true! There are also a selction of delightful mini felt top hats decorated gloriously with a range of feathers, and my favourite piece of all, an utterly beautiful fascinator hat. That last piece is not for sale, as it was a competition piece, but you really must go in to see it. It's a sort of 20s style hat, exquisitely crafted, and won its crafter a place as one of 12 finalists *in the world* for one of the largest hat making competitions held worldwide. Wow! The crafter, also owner of the shop, is a truly lovely lady as well and more than happy to chat about her creations. If her fascinator artistry is anything to go by her floristry will certainly be exquisite too. She has a workshop inside the building as well, crafting on site, and can make up specialist hats and bespoke flowers to any specification. If you are thinking of saying it with flowers, or perhaps fancy an outing to the races, you now know your first port of call! I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful shop. I know I'm looking forward to watching it flourish!

They were very helpful on the phone as I tried to remember what flowers my mother does and does not like - carnations, gerbers - I'm a novice. Array of Blossom's motto of adding a personal touch to their service really is true. It was easy enough to specify the flowers and price (around £40) that I wanted to spend and they made up a bouquet specially for me. I never got to see it obviously as I wasn't around but my mum definitely liked the surprise and there were no difficulties with delivery on Mother's Day as I've actually had in the past with other florists. Get it right: like these guys. Their shop on Bury New Road is cute with small potted plants too, ready to take home. They would also be fabulous for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and christenings - all floral services which they offer.

If you lost a gague or body bar, then you had to trek on into Manchester and hit up Afflecks, but if you were a bit unclued up and didn't know about Afflecks, then P2 was a good place to start. I used to regularly drool over multicoloured body bars and hoops in here, and as a testament to their standing the test of time, after ten years i still have my body jewellery! As far as I am still aware they do offer a piercing service, but these things change regularly, so check if that's why you're making the effort to go there. Primarily P2 is a gift shop, and has an excellent collection of watches, i fallen in love with many watches from Storm, Diesel and Police collections in here, in addition to my glow in the dark alien mug which is so awesome! There's a good combination of the cool and the quirky, and for a small shop P2 packs a punch.

I have had 10 piercings in my time yet i have never had a worse piercing than from p2 ive had all…read moreof the staff pierce me yet none of them know what to do i never saw them sterilising any jewellery and none of my piercings but my nose piercing is okey. I had my helix pierced there and was pierced three times before she gave up and put a different piece of jewellery in. A fresh piercing should have steel not coloured bars so putting a colour bar in a fresh piercing is awful yet i was young when i had them done there. I would much more recommend beauty spot just around the corner as the staff know exactly what they are doing and all my piercings from there have turned out amazing it is a little more expensive yet if someones piercings you id rather have a good piercer than someone who has no idea what they are doing.
