If you're in the area def come here for your Hong kong flower needs!! They have the most affordable prices after comparing them to 3 other shops within 5 miles from here. Lots of color options and they can customize it however you like (: My boyfriend ordered these for me for my graduation and FaceTimed me while he was in the store to show me all their colors, I originally wanted a lavender color but when I saw the pink ones I like it so much better. The florist said she can mix purple paper to still give me the color I want. It came out great! It's been 1 month and they still look brand new! If you do the Yelp check in you get a free Hong Kong flower. I got a red one and it was also wrapped up nicely read more

I wish I had photos I could easily pull, but we had our complete wedding flowers done by Flower Genie over 25 years ago and they were, beautiful and so affordable. Flower Genie worked hard to make sure we got the flowers and designs we wanted. Over the years, we've referred many family and friends and have used them for birthdays, more weddings, funeral services. For graduations, we've received gotten the most beautiful HK bouquets and leis meeting requested colors. Tip for leis: don't get glitter! Pros: Beautiful one of a kind flowers. Best known for their Hong Kong style bouquets. Cons: Prices keep getting higher every year but can't blame them cause inflation Once upon a time, in the bustling city of San Gabriel, California, there was a young woman named Anna who lived in a small home surrounded by concrete and steel. Despite her urban surroundings, Anna was known for her love of flowers. She had a small balcony garden filled with flowers, which brought a touch of the outdoors to her otherwise concrete world. One day, a young man named Alex came into Anna's life. He was struck by Anna's beauty and her loving nature. The two quickly became friends, and their conversations often revolved around facebook chats left on read for days. Inspired by a close friend Ben, Alex started a tradition for Valentines day. Every Valentines days, he would buy a bouquet of Hong Kong style roses. Years went by, and Anna and Alex's love for each other only grew stronger. As the months went by, their friendship deepened into something more. Alex didn't want to waste any time and soon he decided to get marry her surrounded by the close friends and family. On their wedding day, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones. They had a son named Austin, and they raised him surrounded by the love and a few bouquets of Hong Kong style roses. Alex wants for one day, when Austin is grown, to set out on a journey to explore the world. He will travel far and wide, seeing many sights and meeting many people. But no matter where he went, he was always drawn back to the Hong Kong style roses his childhood home and the love of his parents. Flower genie is where I got dem flowers. Go FLOWER GENIE! Super expensive for very subpar quality. Ordered half a dozen Hong Kong flowers for $93 and it was not what I expected. The flowers were not completely bloomed and looked super cheap due to how they did the glitter, and bunch of empty spaces in the whole bouquet. This place is fantastic. I was running late to a birthday party and called to see if they had any premade arrangements (they do not). BUT the woman on the phone asked the occasion (birthday), colors (pink), my budget ($50), and how far away we were (about 25 minutes). She said 'Okay, it'll be ready, bye!' and hung up. We pulled up a few minutes early and she was just finishing it up. It was stunning: I loved the variety of flowers, the arrangement was beautiful. And for a custom bouquet, it was much bigger than what I expected for the budget we had. This is my new go to place! read more

My husband surprised me with flowers on Valentine's Day with a dozen Hong Kong Wrap roses. He had bought from them a long time ago and he decided to surprise me once again with these beautiful flowers, all women love things that sparkle and these flowers were gorgeous. These flowers last a pretty long time that I had kept the old ones my husband had sent me too. Came in on a Tuesday during lunchtime to take a look at available bouquets for my mom's birthday; I was drawn to one but didn't like the wrapping paper color so I was offered to get a new bouquet made with the wrapping paper and rose colors of my choice to pick up by the end of the day. I chose red roses and white wrapping paper, and checked in on Yelp to get a free glitter rose in the middle of my bouquet. When I came in to pick up the flowers, I was so happy with the look! It's so beautifully made, I would definitely come back for more special occasion flowers. In total I paid around $93, which I consider to be fair pricing for the customization + what I got. read more

Flower Genie is the absolute best flower shop ever!!!!! They have done my graduation flowers, my sister's and my cousins for over a decade now. For my friend's proposal, they were beyond magnanimous and kind for doing a same-day last minute request! I CAN NOT reiterate how kind and amazing Flower Genie is on so many different levels. Firstly, the flowers are beyond gorgeous from the glitter to the butterfly added and to the whole aesthetic of the bouquet. Secondly, their customer service is beyond the best you can have. My heart literally was so shocked by how kind they were. They stayed past closing and tossed in extra flowers so that my friend could have the best proposals when he was going to propose to his girlfriend the next morning. Just interacting with their positive, empathetic and kind energy was just such a wholesome experience that their kindness really made my whole week. They really represent one of the best of humanities. The quality, pricing, and customer service are top- notch and I will be a customer of theirs for life. This small business is worth the clientele and you will not regret choosing this shop over others. I promise. read more

Although they are not the only florist that specializes in Hong Kong Flowers, they are meticulous. I like that if you check in, you get a free glitter rose. There are several major north-south roads in this area, and Rosemead Boulevard is one of them. San Gabriel Boulevard is another. The road is wide and easy to drive. The nursery is right across the street from Com Tam Kieu Restaurant, one of the better Vietnamese broken rice restaurants in Southern California. On the way there, I passed a construction site, probably a new apartment building. It strongly gave me the impression of an EB-5 green card project, the kind of real estate development marketed less as a normal apartment building and more as an immigration investment package for Chinese buyers. In the middle of the SGV, that feeling was hard to miss. After that came the nursery. I drove from north to south, made a left turn onto a smaller street, and parked outside. The entrance is tiny. You walk through it and immediately reach the counter, where there was even a line. After that, you pass into an indoor room stocked with fertilizers, plant stakes, soil, mulch, and other gardening supplies. Beyond that is the back garden, which is much larger than expected and quite elegant. The plants are clearly well cared for, and the stone sculptures give the place a strong hint of Chinese culture. Along the edge of the main building, there are stacks of Buddha heads, seated Buddhas, and other stone figures, mostly in Chinese Buddhist or imagined Buddhist styles, though not necessarily following any strict traditional standard. There are Chinese signs everywhere, which makes sense for a nursery in the middle of the SGV. Many of the plants have bilingual names. The prices are not cheap, but they are fair. The orchids are much more expensive than what you would find at Trader Joe's or Costco, but they are also more beautiful and much stronger, so I would not call them overpriced. The plants use different colored tags, similar to what you see in many American discount stores. Some are very cost-effective. It is definitely worth stopping by, and even more worth it if you happen to find some good discounted plants. The cashier was a little rude, but as a Chinese person, I found it completely acceptable. I have seen much worse. Even though she was in a rush, the service was not bad. She even gave me an extra bag so the soil would not spill in my car. Overall, this is a good nursery and I would recommend it. It is even better if you understand Chinese culture, because many of the details will make more sense.

From the beginning, Celina was so friendly and easy to communicate with to coordinate all the pre-event details -- and on the wedding day, she and Toni made the wedding SO beautiful with all the floral design, and they were so great at helping keep the day smooth and stress-free for everyone involved. 10/10 I highly recommend hiring Celina and her team at Violette's Flowers for your next special occasion -- you'll be happy you did!

However, I wanted to check this flower shop out especially with its unique mural and charming entrance. Alex was talking with a few folks when he came over and asked me what I was looking for. There were a few roses readily on display as well as some in the refrigerated room. During our discussion, I decided on a budget of $50 and was able to work within that limit. After picking out the roses, he talked through which additional flowers and leaves for the overall arrangement. Overall, Alex worked fast and did a great job assembling everything beautifully. Best of all, my parents were happy with the results. That's a seal of approval in my book.

I had the most wonderful experience at Flower Genie! I was looking for the perfect bouquet for my son's piano teacher's belated birthday, and I couldn't be happier with how beautiful everything turned out. A young lady named Carmen assisted me, and she was an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, she was so sweet, attentive, and patient. I didn't know what I wanted, so asked a few questions and she brought it to life beautifully! Carmen even went above and beyond by adding a few extra flowers to the bouquet, and the result was stunning! The arrangement was elegant, vibrant, and perfectly suited for a special occasion. If you're looking for a flower shop with top-notch customer service and gorgeous arrangements, this is the place to go. You won't be disappointed! Thank you, Carmen, for making someone's day extra special - I'll definitely be back! read more

For my 100th review, I have decided to review Flower Genie, my beloved, beloved, beloved business. I don't care if this gets filtered, or if I have completely discredited the store by writing this review, but I always avidly work hard to make sure that all of the customer's demands are met. (Plus 100 reviews is a BIG deal for me). Hong Kong wraps are made with utmost care, they are about $80 for a dozen off season, $45 for a half a dozen, and are the most popular flowers yet. There are promotions usually for every Valentine's Day, Prom, and Graduation! We genuinely care about you! Anyway, enough of this. If you ever have any questions, contact me at melody@flowergenie.net. :D ***DON'T FORGET TO CHECK IN FOR ONE FREE GLITTERY ROSE!!!!*** read more

How could the owner tell her customer to not come back because I was unsatisfied with the outcome of the funeral flowers I had ordered? I ordered $200 funeral flower, came out a smaller size which should have cost $150. She is so rude. I ordered another one with yellow lilies, but came out with sunflowers mixed with pink daisies. It was not what we expected. Totally off of what I originally wanted. Never coming back. read more

Flower Genie

This was unexpected and appreciate that our friend was just letting us know that she was thinking of us during this time. When it was delivered, a male came out of his car, which was parked right in front of our driveway and he placed the vase on our door mat. He rang the doorbell very quickly, multiple times and then left. The reason why I know this was because I was home. I was sitting near the front door when the man approached the house (I was busy working on something so I was not able to get up right away when I saw the man coming to our front door). The bouquet itself is very nice and full. They were fresh. The bouquet lasted about 10 days, after I had cut the stems, replaced cold fresh water and also added a spoonful of sugar (which is food for the flowers. I learned that from a florist friend of mine). The flowers probably could have lasted 14 days but I decided to toss it out in our trash can so that it would be in time for trash day. Overall, our delivery was a positive experience . I just wanted to include this review for those who are sending flowers to a loved one and wanted to know that being on the receiving end was good.
