You approach the resort by dirt roads, but they are well maintained and no problem for our sedan. The Tesla nav system was accurate. We had no problems getting there and back. Kelly and Brian are excellent hosts. Brian can regale you with many anecdotes from Central Texas history, most of which I had not heard before, even though we've lived in the Lone Star State for 38 years. Our room was quiet, cool, and comfortable. The lobby is also quiet and is a great place to sit and read. There are two very sweet dogs that have the run of the place. We had a lot of fun interacting with them. You can walk the grounds and along the dirt roads with nearly zero traffic. I do recommend sturdy hiking boots, as cockleburrs are plentiful. There are also venomous snakes in this area, although we did not see any. Better safe than sorry. We will certainly return. I emailed the owners of this place and said my doctors have advised me to stay home since I am high risk and they offered only half back. We are 11 days out of travel dates and I get a to bad so sad. Also be advise they do not allow ESA animals even with a doctors letter. Run from this place stay at either Willow Point Big Chief or go on up to Tow it will be worth the drive to go to Tow.

This area is down by the dock. There is a list of amenities posted at the office along with phone numbers. One can fish off the pier if they choose. There was one covered area to sit at if you bbq. On the whole it was clean but you always have that rogue camper who doesn't keep up his/ her pad area. Why is that?! There are conveniently located dumpsters. This location is near a Donut store, HEB, washateria, Dollar Store, Whataburger, Sonic, and several Mexican restaurants and Mr Gatti's pizza.
