I had no idea what kind of flowers to order because my father was not a flowers kind of guy. He had no favorite flower or even a favorite color to speak of, so choosing flowers for his service was a task I procrastinated until the last moment. The staff of Valdosta Greenhouses made it very easy. I knew I wanted an arrangement that was longer, to sit on a table, that would hang over the front of the table just a bit, but that was all I was sure of. And since I live in Tampa I could not come into the shop to see ideas, I had to work solely over the phone. The staff recommended fall colors for an October service and I agreed that would be nice. The arrangement they created, even at the last minute, was gorgeous and full of all of the beautiful colors of fall, yet not too feminine. It was longer and hung over the table just as I had asked and many at the service commented that the flowers were perfect. And they worked with the funeral home on payment so we paid the funeral home one fee and the funeral home paid the florist on our behalf, which was a huge convenience.

I have had countless deliveries left at my door. Also, to say that it's not safe?? These houses are $400K + Who's going to take them? I had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with Zant's on 9/12/23. I live out of state and…read moreordered a bouquet of flowers to be delivered to a nearby hospital for my mother in law. Hours later I received a phone call stating the flowers I ordered was not available and would substituted with a bouquet comparable in price. I requested a photo of the bouquet that was going to be delivered which they acknowledged they'd do. A few hours later, I asked them when the flowers would be delivered and when I would expect the picture and I was told it should be ready in about 20 min. I received no notification or photo and when I called back to get a status the shop was closed. We found out later in the evening from my father in law that the flowers were delivered. These flowers were for my mother in law who was recovering from a major surgery and it was also her birthday. The fact that I blindly spent $72 on flowers I did not see and received no notice of delivery is flat out ridiculous. Do not advertise flowers you do not have and follow through on your word. It's pretty surprising to see high ratings for a company with no regard!!! They don't even deserve a single star!
