If I could give Florida Window and Door a zero rating I would. They charged me $17k for windows which is a rip off considering my boss got 4 for windows than I did for $8k total. The installation was terrible. Employees do not care if you are satisfied with the job or not. When they returned after numerous complaints they literally proceeded to curse and bad mouth me in front of my doorbell camera. Not the sharpest tools in the shed. We got a full presentation for replacing all our windows and the final quote was over what we were expecting and seemed too high so we cancelled our contract the next day. We let our rep know our decision and of course he asked us to reconsider but we had read too many bad reviews about Florida Window and Door on top of the cost so we said it was our final decision to cancel. Since then we have gotten countless texts, emails and spam phone calls from 20 different numbers. This is outright harassment. This is a shady company. Avoid Contacting them!!! read more

Florida Windows and Doors - Dishonest and Completely Unreliable- NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I would give zero stars if I could. My experience with Florida Windows and Doors has been absolutely horrible from start to finish. The sales representative flat-out lied about the U-Factor rating of the windows we purchased. What we were promised and what we actually received are two completely different things. When I reached out to the same sales rep for clarification, Ryan Getz, he lied and deceived us giving me false information as facts. I've reached out to him by text and calls but he is clearly avoiding me and has no intention of taking responsibility. It's obvious that once they get your signature on the contract, you no longer matter to them. There is NO customer service. No one calls back or follows up. The only person who ever showed a shred of professionalism was Christina Pettit, and I appreciate her effort -- but beyond that, it's been nothing but silence. Adrienne in accounting hasn't returned my calls in over 3 weeks, and Mitch, who was supposedly "resolving" the issue, has been completely unreachable. This company is the definition of dishonest sales tactics and nonexistent customer support. I've never dealt with a business that cared less about its customers once they signed the contract. Do not make the same mistake I did. I would never recommend Florida Windows and Doors to anyone -- not friends, not family, not even strangers. I had a wonderful experience with Florida Window and Doors. I changed my order at first and they easily did that. The installation crew was wonderful. They worked for hours but I had 6 windows to do. They left almost no dust behind- most of which was probably my own dust. My windows are absolutely beautiful. My neighbors came over and remarked how beautiful they are.My home is now quiet and serene. I have seen windows in my neighbors homes that were much cheaper and they look it. I feel safe and confident that my windows will keep my safe if any hurricane blows my way. This is a great company. Spend the money ( though they are less expensive than other companies I contacted. ) their quality can't be beat.) read more

This is the worst company EVER!!! When salesman came by we asked him specifically if the windows were going to be PGT windows, he said yes of course. We paid the deposit and 6 months later our windows were delivered. The installers were the worst! They dropped a window on a pipe, breaking the pipe, so the water had to be shut off while they went to home depot to get parts to repair. I had company visiting from California at the time. While the installers were gone, it started to rain and my guests had to get plastic and tape the windows, as rain was pouring in thru the opening. We repeatedly tried calling the office, trying to get ahold of someone in charge. The installers spoke very little English. The repair was inferior, they were not plumbers! When they were installing picture window they scratched the glass. We tried for weeks to get someone to come out, finally a guy came out and he said he would make sure it was taken care of. WE never heard from them again, after months of trying to reach them, we gave up. Terrible company, terrible customer service. read more

Buyer Beware - Purchased 3 exterior hurricane rated doors. I love the actual doors but the installation was horrible. No customer service at all. Rep came out looked at the doors and said what do you want me to do about it. That's the way we install them and nothing wrong with it. Thresholds of all three doors are elevated and tripping hazards. The main entrance is raised 2 inches above the floor level. Trim pieces are not mitered for a good fit. Nail holes were not filled. Removed a piece of our hardwood flooring and then filled the gap with concrete. What will they did use was like a silicone and globbed in. The raised threshold was scratched. The door going to the patio they cut the trim pieces too short and then cut pieces to add to make it fit. We had talked a long time with the sales rep before buying and wanted assurance that if the doors did not fit we did not want them. A person came out to measure and said we were good. Now I have a major tripping hazard on the front entrance. I tripped and fell out the front door because I did not realize the threshold was raised. We have an elderly relative (over 100 years old) living with us that could not negotiate the exit when having to step over the threshold and the step down to the porch without difficulty. If they informed us that the threshold would be raised this high, we would not have signed the contract. This creates a major safety issue in the event of an emergency. They do not believe in customer service, ignore you or send people that do not have the authority to do anything to resolve the issue. When they finally sent a rep with authority they said that's how they install doors. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I believe these were way overpriced as well. read more

I selected Florida Window and Door based on the rep Wyman Patten. His sales presentation sold me on their package. After I signed and committed, I saw some bad reviews and spoke with him about my concerns. He reassured me and I felt he understood my concerns. Three installers came and did a fantastic job in one day. They covered everything in plastic and cleaned up after themselves. County inspector came and approved, their inspector came after county and I passed all inspections. One installer came after inspection and capped off the frames. I got the A-team!!!! Wyman did a good sales pitch, I have no complaints!!!! read more

05/22/24 RUN! - don't walk - from Florida Window & Door on North Dixie Highway in Lake Worth. My wife and I should have listened to friends and neighbors about this bottom-of-the barrel operation. We learned the hard way. (1) They really do just want your money. They go through sales reps like water. And the sales rep will never agree to a no-questions-asked money back guarantee on the product, installation, and turnaround time. (2) They rarely return telephone calls. (3) When they do return a telephone call, it's typically with the usual excuses, such as "it's all on backorder from our supplier(s)" and "we're waiting for city / county / state approval." (4) You won't see them at any South Florida home shows. They realize full well previous customers will likely show up at their booth to rightfully complain and criticize. (5) The Better Business Bureau rating is ONE STAR of five. Just visit the BBB site to view the numerous reviews from unhappy (ie, screwed) former customers. read more

TLDR: if you want to wait around 8 months to have your windows installed, your stuff stolen, have a subpar job done and deal with even worse customer service then this is the company for you. My experience with Florida Windows & Door (FWD) has been by far the most annoying, unpleasant & unprofessional. The first step was to select type of product, sign for pricing & find a funding company. I was told then that the entire process will be done (w/installation) by no later than 08/22. I was also told that the funding company selected will allow me to make my first payment in 2yrs. This all happened 04/05/22. The FWD representative who helped with this was very nice and looking back now, of course he had to be since he was trying to make sales. Once all selections were done, I was to wait for email communication back from my project manager. This person was to schedule my openings measurements, obtain all required permits, order the product, schedule the installation & then inspection. Everything was running smoothly up until measurements & permits. Then August came and went. I called the project manager & she advised me that the manufacturing company was running behind & the expected ship date for the products was the 1st week of September. Okay fine, something out of their control but, at the bare minimum, call the client & update them. 1st week of September passed. Called again, was told shipment is now expected for last week of September / first week of October. Those dates came & went. Still nothing. 10/11/22 called again & was informed that funding company was no longer funding & I needed to find another one. Found another funding company but now my first payment is within a yr from installation. So not only has it been SEVEN months since I first signed a contract with FWD but now I also miss out on an entire year of wiggle room to start payments because of their unreadiness. Nonetheless, a new funding company was found & now I was to wait for product arrival STILL. On 10/28/22, FWD called stating that product arrived & they were ready to schedule dates for installation & inspection. Product was installed on 11/03/22 (EIGHT MONTHS from contract sign date) & inspection was to happen on 11/04/22. INSTALLATION. The crew worked from 8am to 6pm to install everything. The "crew" consisted of 6 men, only 2 of them had FWD shirts. Not sure if the other 4 were actually employed by FWD. The crew broke several of the old windows so the next day, I was finding glass shards everywhere (I have a crawling baby). They cracked TWO windowsills & didn't even mention anything - I found them later while cleaning. I told them TWICE that I wanted to keep the old door hardware for another door in my house as the hurricane door came with hardware. The crew stole the hardware. I was filling in screw holes from the old curtains when I found one of my window frames into the house completely butchered. INSPECTION. The day of installation I was given basically a paper packet to hold onto for inspection day for the inspector. The day of inspection, one of the FWD crew men that was there the day before came in at 9am to clean the windows & do some final touches on their work which took all of maybe 2-3 hours. He then disappeared & I saw him hours later sleeping in his truck. I called him to ask what was taking so long - waiting for the inspector to show. The inspector shows up at 5pm & asks for the packet which I hand over. The inspector looks through the packet & can't find an affidavit which he needs to sign off on the work. So FWD crew basically wasted 6 hours when he could've looked through the packet upon arrival to ensure everything needed was there for inspection time. FWD crew tells me to expect a call to reschedule the inspection. This was a Friday. Monday comes around & I have to call FWD to request an inspection reschedule due to their unreadiness again. The FWD employee was completely unprofessional, condescending and borderline racist on the phone saying that he couldn't understand me or what I was trying to explain to him. They reschedule for Wednesday (11/9) & then call me on 11/8 to tell me that the appointment has been canceled & rescheduled again for 11/14 due to weather (Hurricane Nicole). They didn't ask to see if I would be available on 11/14 - they assumed. Called to reschedule this appointment as I'm going out of town & they leave me on hold for 20mins. I hang up, call again & I'm immediately patched through to project manager's extension- straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail & never heard back. 11/29 called, advised them of their lack of service & told them my availability for this week. Was told to wait for a call back. stay away! We purchased a hurricane door last December and it's still has not passed inspection by the city of Delray Beach. Poor quality! Rude staff! Over 75 unreturned voice mail messages! it is always another departments issue. Lie after lie! The door was installed in June broken! today is October 12 and I'm still waiting on a final inspection.
