While selling my condo the buyer's inspector cited a missing drain pan on our circa 2023, A/C unit. Cooling Advisors sent a technician who inspected, took pictures, and documented in the most professional manner that our modern system not only had a well designed, internal drainage system, but also included leak/overflow sensors that would engage system shutoff in the event of failure. As for Cooling Advisors' process: 1) we scheduled an appointment 2) we were alerted that the technician was on the way 3) we were alerted that the technician had arrived, and entered via our RE broker/agent 4) we received a call from the technician with a clear, concise, and professional summary of findings 5) later we received a well documented report which we were able to share with the buyers Cost: $99 to me, and probably egg-on-the face to the inspector. Predatory pricing in 2025. Company came out for easy job with capacitor blown and billed $366 for a capacitor + $100 service fee = $466. Watch out with these folks. No estimate or warning of this amount was given prior to install. Job was 30 minutes of labor at 4:30 in the afternoon (during business hours) with a part cost of $15 dollars (40 µF 440 V). Company also refused to leave without on-the-spot payment for predatory pricing, refused to discount initially, and threatened to remove capacitor. Last point is interesting as contractors removing an installed fixture, regardless of payment disputes, is not legal under Florida law and should not be threatened. I was clear I was willing to pay a fair price, but management refused to adjust. Contractor license board would frown upon fixture removal threats like that to public especially without a quote provided prior.. Any contractor knows that installed parts become fixtures and should not threaten removal. Very shady company. Eventually they were paid a less predatory - but still very high number - to be fair as they did change the capacitor. I've hired this company for over $6,000 worth of business prior too. This company was not always operating this way but watch out hiring them in 2025. read more

We have had excellent experience with Cooling Advisors. Today Gary Cox was our tech & he arrived ahead of schedule to address a drainage issue with our A/C system. He had to go into a very hot attic to address the problem & promptly solved it. He was a pleasure to deal with. read more

Gary Cox was terrible and more importantly the previous technician Ryan Pender installed the wrong size capacitor into our unit 2 months prior. It should be noted this compressor was replaced and installed by Cooling Advisors two months prior. Their negligence lead to the breakdown of our AC system which they quoted a price of approx $3K to "fix". Both technicians and the head manager at Cooling Advisors were so incompetent and the only goal was to collect as much money from us as possible. Thankfully, we have a trusted AC technician who came and evaluated the entire unit to find out it only needed a new circuit board which cost under $300. I have so many receipts proving their negligence which were provided to this scam of a company. Don't even use Cooling Advisor!!! read more

I can't rave enough about Cooling Advisors and Gabe, who's been our tech the last two times. We joined the cooling club and are so happy we did. You pay a low monthly fee, lower than a Netflix subscription and that covers two yearly preventative maintenance services per year and discounted service whenever needed. Our air conditioner literally stopped working Tuesday night right before Milton was scheduled to be arriving and I called that evening and they came out that next morning, first thing. My drip pan was full so had shut air off not to overflow but my handler's in the attic so I did not know. Boom, Gabe came and went straight to work. With our Cooling Club discount, $49! Now, I can't even imagine what an emergency service would have cost us but this company and Gabe are fantastic. I absolutely love them! Sign up and you will see. I love cooling advisors, they are reasonable knowledgeable , cost efficient, they offer services that other companies cannot beat. I have a plan with the company to have my new unit I bought last year and they always check on it. I made sure I had my ductwork cleaned and I put in a brusher and already had the sanitation light . When the technician removed my filter , I could not believe it wasn't even dirty. It still could have been used again but I did not do that, I put in a new one. I have 2 dogs that shed and we all have allergies. I am so glad I found this great A C company. And I know for a fact if I had an emergency they would be out ASAP. I love Dani , the coordinator and Rodney the technician, they are super wonderful. Please really think about Cooling Advisors when you need a new a/c unit or a repair . My neighbor was out of town and needed me to meet Gabe from Cooling Advisors . This was for a routine six month preventative maintenance check. Gabe arrived during the time window that I was given. He was knowledgeable, professional and respectful. He checked out the AC unit inside and on the roof of our condo. He was wonderful. When he was done , I called my neighbor and Gabe talked to him. My neighbor decided he wanted something else done. It was something Gabe had the needed supplies and time to do. My neighbor was happy . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND COOLING ADVISORS. read more

Recently had my AC break. I sought five quotes. Cooling Advisors what is the only company that guaranteed a delivery date and was priced competitive. I hired them and they were very professional, they did a great job, and I felt comfortable that the unit was installed properly. They didn't clean up as well as I would like, but I won't hold that against them because it was minor. read more

An absolute rip off! $100 just to make an appointment. A typically legit company if you have service done, they will deduct the service call. Charged $100 just to make the appointment. Just think of it if they make 10 appointment a day and don't get the work this company makes 1000 bucks for doing absolutely nothing but driving house to house giving ridiculous price quotes for repairs ! This shit hole company they charged us $400 to clean out a clogged drain line. Any homeowner could've done the same thing for nothing if I had known that that was the issue. Trust me, I don't have a problem, paying for service, but being ripped off is a whole another thing Just because they advertise on the radio. WRMF doesn't make them a reputable company. Typical S. Fla. A/C rip-off company. Technician on site gives a price to repair and the office adds almost $100. The highest price anyone else charges for a pound of Freon is $110, check on Google, these rip-offs charged me $149 a pound. Don't let them in your home! read more

Company is completely oblivious to how air conditioning companies should be ran. They go around covering up other a/c company stickers with their own to scam customers into thinking they installed what they already have so they can scam you with their maintenance plan. The maintenance plan they overcharge you for parts and labor that normally would've came FREE with the manufacturers warranty parts and labor. I called Cooling Advisors on a recommendation from my son to Fix an AC unit that one of my Tenants was complaining about. They showed up on the same day, The Tech Michael called me and explained to me that the unit was in in good working condition and just needed a pound or so of refrigerent. He knew all the proper ways to test the unit and he did so before and after adding the refrigerant (Very professional & Honest ... I'm an Engineer ... so I know when their pulling a fast one on me). This company is now my first choie "Go-To" vendor for AC repair & installation (at the top of my vendor list) for my six rental units. read more

Found this company on the Better Business Bureau website. Flawless service, called in an emergency at 5:30 PM they sent someone over on time, service was professional and accurate. Sent text messages confirming they were coming. I wound up signing up for their maintenance agreement and now I'm scheduled for regular check ups. Great company! read more
