TITLE: AVOID THE BOCA RATON LOCATION - 2.5 MONTHS OF DEFECTIVE GLASS AND DELAYS…read more I would never use My Shower Door again. Excluding a month I was away, this project with the Boca Raton branch has dragged on for 2.5 months for an installation that should have taken three weeks. Their craftsmanship is deeply flawed, and their customer service is non-existent. Here is the exact timeline of their failures: 1. May Delay: On the original installation day, they canceled because they noticed scratches in the glass, delaying the project by 10 days. 2. Measurement issue: They returned weeks later, only for the new glass to not fit at all. This pushed the timeline to 5 weeks. 3. Defective Installation & Stains: When they finally hung the glass, the doors were completely unlevel at the top. They told me I could use the shower anyway; after just one use, a foot-long stain appeared on the glass. 4. More Scratches: They returned to fix the unlevel glass. Immediately afterward, major scratches appeared overnight on the side panel. My general contractor personally inspected the work, agreed it was terrible, and called them directly to demand a refund so we could hire a different company. 5. The Customer Service Failure: The Boca Raton office completely ignored my contractor's call and never phoned us back. Instead of issuing a refund for their repeated mistakes, they are doing yet another inspection this Thursday just to "look" at the damage they already know exists. 6. They just showed up. Not the owner, just the same installers who have been here since day 10. They acknowledged the stain on the glass and "waves" through the glass, which he said happens sometimes when manufacturing. They are going to replace that glass. They saw the scratches and he said to me this could only happen if someone used something sharp and scratched it. I was furious at being accused of doing anything. In what's now 3-1-2 months, I've only used the shower 4 times, have never touched the outside of the glass. Now I'm told there's a 5-day period that you have to make a complaint. I said first of all, that shouldn't apply until the job is finished, and this job is far from being finished. And I was never told that anyway. I was told there's a 30-day period where if you notice any leaks they'll come back to fix it. And there have been leaks. He "fixed" one again today. 6. When I said where is Brandon, the owner, who should have been here, he was busy because somebody called out sick and he needed to do an installation. Really? Maybe he should have come to my house instead and seen what's being complained about. And now, as they know, I'm going away again, they have been fully aware of my travel schedule and have shown zero urgency to resolve this permanently. BOTTOM LINE: SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND SANITY AND GO WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY.

A year after the installation, I called and asked about getting a handle for a screen on a sliding glass door. We were able to try the model windows and doors. The show windows and doors all opened very smoothly, and I am very happy that the installed units operate the same, very easy to open, close, and lock. The installers were great to work with. They showed up on time, and worked each day until all the windows and doors that were removed were reinstalled and working properly. The installers were very clean, made sure that they covered or sectioned off all areas that would get dusty from cutting the tile and cement to install the doors. The windowsills and thresholds are very well done. They cleaned up each evening and did not leave a mess. I would highly recommend this company John G

If I could make this NO stars, I would. We hired Coastline Builders for window installation at our…read morehome in West Palm Beach and it has been a very frustrating experience. The job is still not finished, and we are being pressured to pay about $7,000 more to complete it. They're saying the extra money is to get the installation "up to code"--but installing windows to code is what a contractor is supposed to do as part of the job, not something you spring on the customer after work has already started. There have also been workmanship issues. Some windows appear to have been measured incorrectly, multiple screens do not match the windows, and there are visible gaps in the wood/trim around the window areas. On top of that, different workers show up and each one says the previous person did something wrong, so there's no consistency or accountability. Communication has been extremely difficult--no one on site speaks English well enough to clearly explain what is incomplete, what is being corrected, or why we're being charged more.

Next we called Specialty Glass. Someone was out to measure the glass the following business day, an estimate was provided, contract accepted, final measurements taken and a down payment made. The glass came in, we were contacted on a Friday for installation on Monday, as soon as it came off the truck. The techs were neat, professional, and personable. The sidelight looks as good as the day after the impact windows were originally installed. We cannot say enough good things about this company, and the other reviews seem to echo the same.
