If you are wanting service in the South Florida neighborhood, I would honestly given them zero stars. I was quoted a fumigation service for flea control treatment and never got it. There will be also problems scheduling, because you will not have a direct line to the district office. You will always get a national call network. Customer service is always friendly but they cannot control what the district office does. So in retrospect, I would definitely not go with them even though they have been around since 1949! read more

My payment cleared my bank on the 2/24th today is 3/9. The worker called me & said he can not spray my moms house because my bill isn't paid. I called the office at 4:45 & was told they have no record of payment. I checked to make sure I had right account #, I did. The girl told me as she was laughing at me that it's time for her to go home & she will recheck it tomorrow. I thought they were open till 5. I asked why she thinks it's funny? She said she has to go. Then calls me back at 5:05 saying she has no record of my payment then continues to talk over me in a aggressive tone saying I have to prove to them it's paid or they won't be spraying the house. I told them when the payment cleared & confirmed the right account # . How else can I prove it. I'm in Michigan. I can't drive it to her & im not sending her my bank statement. Not sure what to say about Florida Pest Control except STRANGE. They started mailing, emailing, and calling months in advance of the actual yearly inspection expiration. Then, for some EXTREMELY ODD REASON, they started sending service technicians to my house that I never scheduled. The person would call my cell phone and tell me to open my gate so they can inspect my house. Then I would get another call from a "manager" saying the same thing. ISSUE: I live in a rural area on 15 acres with horses that are roaming the property so I schedule everything. I'm never going to open my gate to someone I never scheduled. PROBLEM: This happened at least five (5) times in the past month and even after I scheduled an inspection appointment. WTH is going on with this company?? Why would you send a technician out to a person's home and blatantly lie about a scheduled appointment? And then keep doing it over and over to the same person? I guess the person running the company is lacking good business and common sense. I will no longer be a customer of Florida Pest Control after 18 years. read more

We were referred to Florida Pest Control by another pest control company that didn't deal with dry wood termites. When the guy from FL Pest Control didn't show up for our 10am appointment, I called at 10:45 and he explained that he showed up to the wrong house and moved on. It didn't occur to him to call me. He showed up later, he gave us an estimate, we decided to move forward with them. To be fair, the guy we worked with answered our questions when we called with them and (eventually) he emailed me a copy of the paperwork we needed to review. We had a follow-up meeting to sign the paperwork, etc. He was supposed to arrive at 2. He texted at 1 to say he'd arrive "closer to 3". He showed up at 4:15. He didn't call. I missed half a day of work for nothing. If time means nothing to you/you work from home/have no obligations outside of your home, these guys are perfect for you. read more

Have had their lawn service for 5-6 years, and every single year my lawn gets destroyed by sod web worms. They randomly show up to spray throughout the winter months (?), but disappear during the summer months when the lawn pests are the worst- forcing me to pay for extra treatments. They are friendly, so what. They use the same chemicals over & over again. The service they provide is to get money not kill anything. We have had them in our home for almost 3 years and the problem has gotten worse. They don't show up as promised either. Run as fast as you can to another company as you can. Technicians seem to be experienced and thorough. No issues with service personal. Office staff is another matter entirely. Nothing gets communicated properly, we have to ask for things 2 - 3 times, seemingly having constant billing mistakes, etc. Anymore issues and we will be switching companies. read more

I finally got to talk to another rep. of FPC after posting a comment on FPC web site. He knew about the problems and apologized also dispatched another Technician. Closed on the weekend so completely pointless and unavailable when the majority of homeowners are working around their house most. I did call on Saturday to leave a message at least, and they don't even let people leave them voicemail. Horrific customer service. Then, on Monday, when I called AGAIN at 8:05 (they open at 8 according to their website), I was on hold for a minute before I was told they they had no workers yet, and wanted to get my info and get a call back later to schedule my inspection. I had an infestation of HUNDREDS of bee nests in my backyard that was to me (and most people) an infestation that needed addressing immediately. Very poor business practice. Stay away. read more

Great service! Ted, my pest control guy, is always super friendly and gets the job done. He's very helpful with recommendations and even came over the same day when I called suspecting a rat (or some other critter), under my sink. It turned out to be nothing, and the call was free of charge. My land lords have a yearly service contract with them, and so far we are very satisfied. Have not had a pest problem and when we did have trouble with rats a few years ago, Ted found where they were coming in. Problem solved. I find the occasional roach (and who doesn't in G-ville?), but they are ALWAYS dead. Great customer service, you won't be disappointed. Ask for Ted! :) read more

We had our annual termite inspection scheduled yesterday between 3-5pm. Guy called at 1 asking if he could come early I told him no, I wasn't home and that I scheduled 3-5pm for a reason. I told him I might make it home a bit before 3. Turns out he went to my house anyhow (we saw him on camera) and went ahead and did the outside part and waited on me to get home....for 2 hours. Just not super comfortable with someone doing what is best for them (he even told me he had other jobs he needed to get to and that's why he was trying to come early) vs coming at the scheduled time. Do I pay you or is it the other way around? ‍ I called the office and asked them to ask him to leave and requested they send someone else out for the inspection because I no longer trusted him coming into my home, but they ignored my request and sent him anyhow. He did leave but still arrived back early at 2:45. We've had other issues with them as well, to include having an unnecessary hole cut in the wall of the master bedroom. read more

Not great company for the service. They say for everything it is high in the sky. Technicians come and they don't do the proper job and won't clean outside in the porch or windows. Just observe them the way they work. I told them I have roaches and they were not able to treat and same thing happens if you really has termite issues then they say it won't cover. Companies out there to make money and not to satisfy their customers with their service at all.. No. I have not read the other reviews, but the number of stars of this company is accurate if it should not be a negative 1 star. This company from their sales persons, to upper level management, are undependable, unreliable, extremely sneaky and tricky with their pricing and their scheduling. Clearly didn't resolve my fire ant problems when a couple or more years of waiting on quotes for time I spent or eventually scheduling. Extremely unethical and very confusing. Difficult to deal with. I ended up getting what he referred to as a "courtesy refund" that I did not request or ask for because of him, knowing how badly I was treated after he came out here and actually did do the treatments for the fire ants February 2021. it took him two years in the first place and two sales people prior to him. I did not request a refund. But they drag me along all year long. Every time I kept saying there's still fire ants, reappearing, and then today shows up and still tries to lead into it and basically before it's over and done with he wants me to pay all over again because of his "courtesy did refund" that I never requested in the first place. We have been with FPC for 25 years. In fact, they did the initial termite application with the builder on the foundation of our home and, as such, we continued with them. However, after 3 separate incidents, STRIKE...you're out! The first incident occurred when their technician stained our freshly painted bathroom ceiling, while treating for bugs from the attic over an interior overhead pocket light fixture, requiring repainting. The second incident involved one of their employees walking into our home, unannounced (after treating the outside of our home during the annual retreatment and failing to wear protective/removable shoe skids), tracking dog poop all over our carpet! I had to demand they send a cleaning company, as they failed to offer. The third, worst and last was when their employee pried his shovel against out newly installed Hardie Board siding to trench for the chemical application, splitting 3 boards and nicking countless others, requiring replacement of the 3 and repairs to the nicks. Yes, after our demands and their inspection, they did pay our initial installer to replace/repair. While here, however, he saw we had a few weeds and tried to use his inspection time as a sales opportunity for a lawn service contract!! Absolute Nightmare, We paid 100% upfront before the first service. The Rep off Pinestead Road stated that would be all we owed, paying it off in full from day 1. Bills started coming in, the manager nor the district manager never responded to our letters. Horrible service, I soon found out my friend had them and they refused to pay her for the termite contract she paid upfront, costing her $6000.00 ongoing. They mislead us and starting billing us. We wrote to ask them to explain the bill, what we paid for upfront, they only came 2 times for $320.00 upfront, and they "GHOST" us in response. How can they still be in business? We plan to find the corporate office for an explanation on this and continue to get bills in the mail. NIGHT MARE...the "only" nice person was the technician on the service for pests. The office staff never got anything correct, even when we called in advance telling them we choose to be home when service happens. They showed up, we were not home leaving a sign in our yard; only to come take it when we questioned what was going on with our service. We found this to be a sneaky company and then GHOST us? I've had a pest control contract with this company for termites for 20 years. When I started having roach and ant problems I added the bug pest control plan. They had to come out so many times that I exceeded the plan's allowed visits and had to pay extra. They never solved the problem and I had to hire another company to fix it. They did right away. I decided to sell the property in December of 2016, but their employees started calling me nonstop and insisted I email them if I intended on renewing my contract in Jan OR my policy would be cancelled. So I responded to their email finally, expecting I would receive the bill and it would be renewed when I sent in payment, like any other company. I sold the house so I did not reply to my bill or make payment. Now they're harassing me with calls and emails and threatening my credit and civil action over $123 that they insisted I agreed to pay by responding to their email on a home I don't even own! Do NOT respond to their emails and insist on hard original signatures! Let me be clear. They're billing me over an email. They never visited my property or provided ANY actual service! They're pest control is poor and ineffective and they are very sketchy with business practices! There's plenty of other companies out there besides these guys. Go somewhere else! read more

Update: I am upgrading my review. Florida Pest Control has successfully kept bugs out of my home for a year now. I took a leap of faith a month ago and renewed for another three years on my termite contract. I'm convinced that they do the work they say they do. I am knocking off one star for customer relations. The company's problem is with the billing practices, and not with the pest control people who come to the house. I don't know why Florida Pest Control uses such a rickety computer program. Some of the bills don't explain the service provided (one had my name misspelled which seems outrageous since two bills came at the same time--one with my name properly spelled and one with a mistake). The accounting vagueness on some bills seems to place responsibility with the consumer for figuring out the motives for the charge. I tried to avoid this confusion by actually going to the building and paying in advance. Even so, I still got a bill yesterday for outside maintenance. The bill doesn't say that I have a credit, so I had to call and confirm that I don't owe anything. This company requires some extra patience. But I'm glad I've stuck with them. No insects in my house to deal with, just bugs in their billing system. Surely this will improve as the reviews to this effect (check the Google comments) stack up. read more

We recently moved into a house and I just had a preventative termite treatment (Termidor) done by Florida Pest Control and they were excellent. I called around to three pest control companies to get quotes and Florida Pest Control was by far the most prompt and courteous. They had to trench around the house to install the treatment and put everything back just as they found it. I would highly recommend them. read more

Had someone bring bedbugs into our home so we called Florida Pest Control for help. They came for their initial spray then contacted us to tell us that they couldn't do it it because it would take two of them 12 months of treatment to eradicate them. They tried really hard to sell us on the idea of tenting our house. We couldn't afford that, we could barely afford the $800 for the spraying. We declined and it took them 2 weeks to get our money back to us! We did some research online and spent only $175 on chemicals and spent 3 weeks by myself treating the house. It worked!! So....$175, 3 weeks, 1 untrained individual compared to....$800, 12 months, 2 professionals that couldn't do it! Do your research and do it yourself, who needs Florida Pest Control?! read more

Extremely disappointed in their deceptive and misleading practices. I paid in advance for one year of service. I came home to find an invoice on my doorstep for $75, for quarterly service, after I thought the year was up. When I called them, they told me I had a "perpetually renewing contract" and I should have read the fine print. I also thought the job they did was poor. When I commented that they did not remove all the cobwebs from carport, I was told, "We're not a housekeeping service." then why do you have cleaning cobwebs as listed service? Contracted for their lawn service on 11/13, did everything they asked, paid them a lot of money, provided conistent irrigation, and came back in 11/15 after a summer in Michigan to the worst lawn in our (Haile) neighborhood - full of dead grass, bare dirt, and weeds. Clear they did not properly service my lawn in my absence. Got lots of promises but no effective action, and finally cancelled their serivice at the end of March. Do not recommend their lawn service. read more
