They do a good job with regular pest control. I receive friendly service and have found them to be easy to deal with. Not a fan of the "scare tactics" around termite protection. For example, last week they went into the wooded area of my neighbor's lot where they collected a ziploc bag of termintes from a fallen pine tree. It was then taped (unsealed) to my door with the live termites in it along with a note expressing concern finding these near our yard with multiple exclamation points. He then called my wife to express his concern and pitch a conversation about their termite treatment/protection products. I wonder how many people have fallen for that? read more

If I could give a zero star rating I would. We are located in Palatka,Florida and have our termite bond with them. Every year it's the same ridiculous rigamarole with appointments. They don't show up. They don't return calls. There is no local office to resolve issues. This year I have talked to 3 different "customer service" agents , all three in different states and NONE in Florida. I have requested to have a manager contact me on at least four different occasions and was promised each time that they would. All I get are hollow apologies from the "customer service" reps, but nothing is ever resolved. I have NEVER been contacted by a manager. Since my husband already sent in our annual fee this year (against my wishes) we are stuck with them for now, but next year we will definitely be switching to a different company. The technicians are good and do a solid job. But their scheduling system is simply annoying. You get a message basically saying "We are showing up on this date during this 4 hour window". To change it you need to call and navigate their phone system and spend 10 mins trying to confirm who you are, your number, email and address. Then on the date of service they generally do not update arrival times. So you sit around waiting. Sometimes they simply don't show up. They need to fundamentally overhaul their scheduling system. I scheduled a service with Jpaul Deutschmann to remove a wasp nest, and the technician arrived and stated he didn't have the proper tools to reach the nest and would have to come back. The job was never completed, no one followed up or communicated after making an attempt to call the Inspector who scheduled the service. However I received several statements showing that owed. I reached out to cancel the service and was co texted by Brittany Smith who told me a technician had been to my home when in fact no one ever showed up to my home. I was present all day -- no call, no knock, no visit. Yet, this company is attempting to charge me for a service that was never provided. This is dishonest and feels like a scam. I have proof that the issue remains unresolved. When I reached out to address it, I was met with unprofessionalism and harassment for payment I do not owe. I do not recommend this company to anyone. If you're looking for reliable, honest service -- look elsewhere. I've filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will pursue this matter to the fullest extent. read more

BEWARE! Florida Pest Control will sell you a termite coverage for a hefty price, but if you get termite damage, they will NOT call you back and tell you how you can be reimbursed for damage. Supposedly, the contract states we have $250,000 coverage for termite damage. We found termite damage over 2 weeks ago. A technician came out promply, took pictures and sent a report to the office. I was supposed to get a call from an adjuster within days (so he said). I've received no calls. I have called the office at least 8 times, left messages for the adjuster to call; also left messages for the branch manager to call; also left messages for the director to call. NO CALL BACK! This feels like a runaround that will never result in reimbursement for termite damage. Don't waste your time and money with this company. Find a reputable company that stands behind their product! If I could give no stars that would be their grade. We purchased the property in 2015 I had a total of four termite polices (dry wood and subterranean termite policy ) on two homes on the property. I have a main house and a guest house. The guest house was a four stall garage converted to a house. It is all block with just wood siding. At renewal time in 2017, we told them we did not see a need to keep the policies on the guest house. After doing some renovations earlier this year, my contractor pointed out some termite damage. I called to make them aware of the problem and they told me we cancelled the policy on the main house and only had the policy on the guest house. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I CANCEL THE OUR ALL WOULD MAIN HOUSE AND KEEP THE POLICY ON THE ALL BLOCK GUEST HOUSE??? OH MY GOD - stay far away from this place. After almost two years of service and wondering why certain areas of my grass were not growing, my new yard spraying company discovered chinch bugs. Add that to the inability of Phillip to kill weeds with his monthly spraying that he HIMSELF told me his chemicals should be killing. And on top of all this bad service, try to pay them for their service and you will negatively experience thier convoluted processes for accomplishing that. At first I was told it was because the family owner had sold it and these administrative bugs were being worked out. Worked out my rearend. They never got worse and if anything, they got worse. STAY AWAY from this company and I mean as far as possible. It may have been top notch when the previous owner owned it but it has gone so far down hill that it is now in the trenches of disaster. To sum the following up: A bunch of theieves who fraudulently charge your Credit card! On or about August 27, 2024 I contacted Rentokil North America, Inc. (formerly Florida Pest Control and Chemical Co.) for pest control services and spoke with a sales person by name of "Samantha" I was told that I could have two initial treatments for $154.00, two weeks apart. In addition, there would be a year of monthly treatments and these would cost $41.00 x 12 ($492) for a total amount of $660.28 for the year. On or about 9/27 I called Samantha again to confirm the total cost and proceed with the service. I provided my credit card and agreed to the total payment of $660.28 as per our discussions. On 9/29, they sent a tech to conduct the first extermination and charged my credit card $154.00. However, on 9/25 they proceeded to fraudulently charge my credit card another $816.00. They had at this point charged my credit card a total of $970.00. On 9/27 I contacted Rentokill and spoke with a "Nichole" and I was told it would be resolved by Tuesday, 10/01. On Tuesday, I spoke to a "Julia" at accounts receivable. Julia confirmed the original correct pricing of $660.28 total and said I would be refunded the excess charged. I then called Customer Service and spoke with "Nicky" who said a refund would be submitted and in my account in 24-48 hours. On 10/01 I received a refund of $166 on my credit card (not the $816 which I was overcharged). I again called on 10/02, spoke with "Tom" at customer service and told him to cancel my account and refund my money. He passed me to a "Shemika" who then passed me to the "cancellation department" where I spoke with two other people, "Jen and Erin" and told them to cancel the account and refund my money, they confirmed that it would be cancelled. None of their employees would confirm the amount to be refunded nor would they provide any last names. Since the last conversation on 10/02, no one has called and I have not received a refund other than the $166. I am still owed $816 minus $166 (refunded) which equals $650.00. This a fraudulently charged amount. read more

First visit was satisfactory and saw some dead, 2nd visit was only about 10 minutes, and no third visit at all. Called to ask for partial refund, and to cancel service which was unsatisfactory. This decades old company is no longer owned locally. It is owned by Rentokil out of the UK. I had to cancel my lawn service because within the months leading up to the sale, quality and contacting locally employed was changing and it became apparent. You cannot reach anyone locally unless you've hours to spare it isn't local. I've spoken to employees in the Panhandle, central Florida and those that wouldn't disclose location after hours on hold. They hope you give up and hang up. Literally spent hours on hold over 2 days. When call was picked up, the call taker was out of state. They still carry my termite bond, now sent to Ohio. Not local. No follow through. Sad testament to a company I recommended and was pleased with for years. Florida Pest Control exists in name only. Rentokil has no vested interest in their existing customers and the employees have only one interest ... maintaining their employment with this company that has absorbed many local lawn fertilization companies. We have had a very disappointing experience with Florida Pest Control. My grandfather invested in a termite bond over 20 years ago and has continued to be a faithful customer since. He was given his yearly termite inspection and told that there were no termites present on the property. A couple of months later, we started noticing bubbling of the wood floors and then termites started to eat holes through it and come into his living room. They came out and did a spot treatment, but the termites worsened and started swarming inside the house. Literally flying everywhere! Despite their assurances that the termites were eradicated, the problem persisted and has now spread into another area of the house. Not only did the termites continue to damage his property, but the situation led to extensive damage that could have been avoided. My grandfather is elderly and frail, and the flooring is so damaged we have moved furniture in fear of him falling and getting injured. Getting them to re-treat the problem was a battle in itself, and communication was a major issue--they often didn't return calls or respond to messages in a timely manner even after speaking to two managers. The lack of effective treatment and poor customer service has left us extremely dissatisfied. I would not recommend Florida Pest Control based on our experience. read more

He admitted the error, agreed to replace the lawn but it's been 6 months and we're still waiting for replacement. We had an excellent experience for pest control, so we opted to add the lawn care to our service. They mistakenly applied treatment to our front yard Bahia the same as our back yard St Augustine and they KILLED our front lawn. It's literally DIRT!! In the attached picture, this is the start of the dying process, the little green at the top was the overflow from the St. Augustine from the backyard, and what little grass there was of the Bahia it's now gone. You can even see the treatment line separation between mine and my neighbors yard! After months of calling for a fix, their suggestion was to lay rye down now and then they'd come back in the spring to throw down Bahia seed!!! This company literally killed 2- 3k worth of sod and will not make it right even after admitting it was their mistake that caused the death of our front lawn!! BEWARE! read more

We have had the Pestfree 365 service for several years. Prior to the company's sale to Rentokill the service was very thorough. They would call ahead a few days, and again the same day as the service. Upon arrival the exterminators sprayed entirely around the house and meticulously tended to such details as removing spiderwebs. Since the sale this service has gone downhill. Now the exterminator shows up unannounced, spritzes a little poison around the front door, then sits in the truck for about fifteen minutes before leaving. We have also had the same billing/crediting problems mentioned in other reviews. Definitely a poor value for the price paid. If there's any pest control companies in your area still locally owned and still concerned about customer satisfaction, consider them instead. read more

The positives about Florida pest control is that they are reliable and show up and are good at scheduling. Some of their services have been very effective. I had a couple of situations that could've gone better such as somebody applying weed control at a temperature that was too cold and killing the grass. Also there is a department hard to reach a lot of the time. And sometimes I can't reach the estimator. But when I have an appointment these people show up and they do what they are hired to do. Not all companies show up. Florida pest control doesn't cancel on you. If they were to do that it would be unusual. I would rate them 3.5 to 4. read more

We signed (and paid for) a one year contract In August. The following May we started getting billed for about 1/4 of the yearly price. Tried calling multiple times but could not connect with anyone. We have used Florida Pest Control for over 15 years. We had their termite control and pest control. During the past year, we have had a problem with baby roaches all over the bathroom. Florida Pest has come out at least two times but the situation with the roaches has remained the same. When we did not renew our contract last month, I received a nasty phone call from the Service Department. Because I said that the roaches still were everywhere, he said, "So you are saying we are incompetent". I never said that. I just said that we still had roaches so something was not working. We have been using Florida Pest Control since 2015/16 and up until now have been very satisfied with their service. Service in the home is not a problem. The problem is that they have centralized their calls to one number for all locations and they have a new software program for their services. It is nearly impossible to get anyone of the phone. A 30 minute wait is now the norm. So far I have received 2 phone calls telling me my bill is past due. It appears the payment posted to the old software and the service on the other, or vice versa. My bill was paid on time and I am getting frustrated having to call them back to prove payment while waiting on line in excess of 30 minutes to prove what I proved in the previous call. Also trying to call to verify an appointment time requires the same wait and getting someone to return my call is a process in futility. We love the service men we have been dealing and the office staff are very nice, but we are very frustrated with their new consolidated administration policies, I no longer feel that my business is important. I am a number whose time is not values. If this is not resolved, we will be shopping for new pest services. read more

Notice these little gnat looking things coming out of the drain in my kitchen called them they came out the technician said it was something called drain flies sprayed some foam in there and left. The foam did nothing for the drain flies when I called them to say I still had the problem the lady on the phone said we can't keep sending people out there. I said what am I supposed to do? She said she would have someone contact me, never heard back from them. I went on the Internet found out exactly how to treat my drains to get rid of the drain flies did that and I haven't had a problem Since.
