This place has very bad customer service! I called yesterday to get information about registering my 5-year-old daughter for a trial class today, and I completed the registration online as instructed. We arrived 10 minutes before class, and when I checked in with the front desk, the staff member told me everything was in order. However, about 10 minutes into the class, the coach suddenly pulled my daughter out, saying she wasn't on the list. The front desk staff member was on the phone with another customer and remained on the call for another 10 minutes, offering no assistance. At that point, I decided to leave. No one made any effort to fix the situation, and my daughter never got to do the trial class at all. It was incredibly disappointing for me and for her , it was disrespectful and felt like they simply didn't care. read more

My grandchildren love this place! They do the recreational camps and are always happily exhausted at the end. My little one was a bit shy at first, but the coaches brought him out of his shell and now he's full speed ahead! Observing the overall atmosphere, I feel the happiness and positivity. I can see that safety is strict, and a top priority, but the coaches seem to incorporate it without it being overwhelming for the kids. The kids look happy and excited to be there and seem to love the challenges this sport presents. How they do all those jumps and flips and fly through the air?? Wow!! I'm looking forward to my grandkids moving up through the different levels as they get older. But right now, they're having sooo much fun! read more

Love this place. Just started training here for my daughter who is 8 years old. The staff was friendly. COVID protocols are in place so the kids are safe. Class started on time. Training area was very clean. They have a very convenient drop off system in place so you don't need to step out of the car. The trainers seemed very attentive caring and supportive. If you decide to stay and watch classes you can clearly observe from the patent area. read more

My niece is been coming here for 3 years. Went from level one 4-6, level two 7-9, and level three 10-15. The couches are truly fabulous, very knowledgeable, and challenges the children to strive to their best. They even offer personal private sessions. They also go to competitions 5 times in the years. All over the united states. Management is also really understanding with everything from uniforms to competitions, and payments. If you have children that love gymnastics, they would truly love it here. read more

I have given this a great deal of thought prior to writing the review. My review goes back many years. When we first moved to Palmetto Bay my daughter was approx 8 years old . She wanted to participate in gymnastics so I signed her up for introductory classes. As others have stated previously , children are rapidly moved up to team for financial reasons. At that time I did not have a nanny who drove. The children had to attend 3 days per week in the evening . I explained that I was a physician and my husband was a pilot . Therefore, we would do our best to get her to practice each day and if she missed a practice we would be happy to bring her another day for a make up class. I also made it clear I was NOT looking for any type of reduction in price and was happy to pay full price regardless if my daughter made every practice . I was told by the owner that if she could not be present at every practice she would be kicked off the team and would not be allowed to re enroll in team in the future. Thus, given my situation my daughter quit. Fast forward 2 years - I now had someone who was able to drive and my daughter wanted to return. Anyone who knows my child knows she was incredibly dedicated and NEVER missed a practice. My daughter was on team for 4 years . The coaches . In particular, the bars coach, Mario is incredible . Honestly , had there been another gym that was closer, I would have switched my daughter from the beginning but for selfish reasons ( 1 hour drive daily ) she remained at FGTC.So why do I give this facility one star: As already stated my husband and I are both professionals with demanding schedules. Team requires you to travel for competitions . Both my schedule and my husbands schedule are completed one month prior . You are told the meets will be a particular weekend but not exact days till 1-2 weeks prior. One particular meet we received the schedule over a long weekend - it stated that the girls would be competing at 8:00 am on a Friday. I thought to myself hmm that can not be especially since the meet fell on a long weekend in which the children did not have school on Monday . The paper we were given specifically stated that if you have any questions " please do not hesitate to contact the individual in charge of the meet and provided an email " Given that this would be an issue for me because we would have to leave Thurs ( which I was scheduled to work because I had requested Friday through Monday off ) I emailed the individual . The following Monday, I received an irritate phone call from the owner Abby admonishing me for contacting the person directly . I am sorry but 1. I am paying for my child to attend these competitions 2. if you don't wish me to contact the person don't provide the information with please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions and 3. I am not a child so utilize a respectably tone. Needless to say she and I were again not on the best of terms following this The second incident involved a meet which took place in March . The week prior my daughter had competed in a tournament . At that time her routine was altered the day of the event, and my daughter got mildly injured . Having said that , I was clearly upset because she was asked to perform a skill which she had not done in over 6 months and was given a few warm ups to practice at the actual event . This was done in order to improved the teams overall scores ( the skill was easier than the one she was supposed to perform ) I spoke with my daughter and told her either she could speak with her coaches or I would . I did not care which vault she performed at the meet in March however, I did want her to practice that and nothing else during the week so she would be prepared. She pleaded with me to allow her to handle the situation which I did. Fast forward to the meet in March--- My daughter did well on her first event. Her second event I was surprised to see that her routine had been altered and she did not do as well. Please note that this was the meet immediately preceding State finals . We went to the third event ,I noted that her routine was different from what she had performed the ENTIRE COMPETITION SESSION and again she was disappointed in her performance and began to cry. I do not advocate crying But, honestly you can not stop someones emotions . Watch the Olympics gymnast cry !!! No one attempted to console my daughter . In fact the owner made the matter worse !!!! She antagonized my daughter . She told me that given that she was crying , I needed to take her home and she would not be able to finish the competition. Due to covid and competitions rules, I was not allowed onto the floor so I waited for my daughter to gather her things and come to me . Only she didn't . As I watched, her music suddenly began and she completed her routine.I was later told by my daughter that Abby told her how horrible she was going to do and had attempted to physically remove read more

this is a great place for kids to learn and build their motor skills as well as a good way to exercise and stay active. they have good programs for kids of all ages. the instructors are professionals and most were former gymnasts themselves. there is order here and kids dont run amok. seating area is tight but is provided for adults to keep an eye on their kids... there are also two bathrooms large enough for kids to change in... they could use a better ventilation system because most of the time, the place has a "locker room" smell... perhaps a bit of febreeze or glade can spruce the place... just saying... read more

Our daughter attended 2 days of their summer camp. We decided to cancel it after reports of child neglect and abuse. Our daughter filmed with her iPhone 2 of the coaches pushing several kids from the team, grabbing 3 of the girls by their ears and the most horrific was one of the male coaches pulling down a kid while she was in the middle of her routine. She ended up hurting her neck during the fall and nobody did anything. After seeing all those videos we were very disturbed and have put in a formal complaint with FLCF and law enforcement. We urge to reconsider taking your kids to that place; I didn't even bother with a refund. Waste of time read more

The Big Girl loves coming here & I love to watch her flip, tumble and other gymnastic terms I'm not familiar with. I get to watch her in the parents waiting room. There I can be an annoying parent, take pictures & cheer way too much. The also allowed me to use their Wi-Fi. I liked this very much. If The Big Girl wants to continue here after the summer term, I will be very pleased. read more

My three-year-old daughter has been doing gymnastics at FGTC for about a year. She started in the mommy-and-me class and then moved up into the tiny tumblers class when she turned three. Coach Cristina is great with the kids and takes her job seriously. She is able to manage the class of toddlers without difficulty. She is extremely attentive, patient, and loves what she does! Unfortunately, the other coaches have not shown the same attentiveness and discipline, so I only register her classes with Coach Cristina. The staff at the desk are very friendly and have always been flexible with my schedule when I need to move my daughter's class or cancel for any reason. My daughter loves going to gymnastics each week and I have enjoyed watching her grow as a result of the training. I highly recommend! read more

First thing I noticed was the place smells awesome!! The staff and owner are super nice and very flexible and helpful. Both my kids did a trial class and it didn't take much after that to sign them right up. We had gone to another gym for a try out that same day and we never even did the trial. This place felt like home for us. read more

Do yourself a a favor and take your kids somewhere else, the place is overcrowded, hot, smells bad the smalls kids class is a waste of money and time the classes is overcrowded as well! The owner is rude and disrespectful and a THIEF. 0 starts. read more

I haven't been inside but I've called to schedule private tumbling lessons for my daughter and the 1st time was told to give them about a week to get back to me (seems a little lengthy but okay, no big deal) I followed up a week later and was simply told "they're busy, I'll relay your message again but the coaches might not have enough time to call you back and there's nothing I can do about that" 1. You're a business, if you are "full" on the schedule simply say so and maybe start a wait list. It's called being organized 2. Teach your employees how to relay "we're busy" in a more professional manner. read more

They overschedule class times and teams (between the hours of 3:30-6:00pm). The gym is way overcrowded and parents are packed in, many without a place to sit. Also, there is limited parking on site and your car risks being towed offsite. My child's class is a waste of time and money, mainly because the coach cannot move around and the teams are always using the bulk of the gym space. There is a high turnover rate for coaches, especially at class levels. They are rookies and my kid has learned next to nothing in these classes because they are not teaching gymnastics skills, just menial exercises like in school P.E. classes. If your child starts at FGTC already with skills to join a team, this might be a good fit; otherwise, go elsewhere. read more

If I could give this place a negative star I would. We moved here from out of state and found FGTC. We thought we hit the jackpot with gyms- trophies everywhere. We really thought this would be a great fit for our 7 year old who had been in gymnastics classes now for a little over a year. With in months of us enrolling her she was asked to move up to the developmental team - which of course the monthly rates immediately increased. To make a long story short- because believe me I could go on. The owner, Abby is rude and disrespectful - they only care about money and pulling in as many kids as possible- moving them up as quickly as possible to increase tuition and fees. The coaches only care about their "stars" and ignore the rest of the girls. There are about 22 girls to 3 coaches so you do the math on how much productive attention the kids actually get. The coaches also rotate through at an amazingly high turnover rate- obviously they are not happy there either. I wanted to make them aware of why we were pulling our daughter- trying to offer some insight to the owner, at the end of my sentence "My daughter will not be returning" she NEVER asked why. The first thing out of her mouth with out even a seconds pause was " Would you like to give me a CC number now for Novembers payment?" still hasn't asked why we would not be returning. We have spent THOUSANDS of dollars with this gym in less than a year and level of disrespect and rudeness from ABBY was intolerable. I URGE you- try the other local Miami gyms- we competed against a few at meets this season and they did well- and seemed HAPPY. There has to be a place that actually cares about the kids even as equally as the money they are bringing in. read more

I registered my daughter for Summer Camp thinking it would be an amazing experience for my daughter, who loves gymnastics. Sadly, this place has little to offer. Coaches are too busy in their phones or talking among themselves to pay attention to the students, who sometimes even get hurt trying to do what they are told, not taught. Huge difference! My daughter went for a month and her class consisted of 6 students more or less and they never learned her name. Fees, which are pretty high, were paid in advance for the whole summer camp. After my daughter's not wanting to go back because she feels like she is not learning anything and is being ignored by her trainers, I decided to get a refund on the weeks I have left. I was told to wait for the manager's call. Nobody has had the decency to call me. I can tell they do not care about the students but money, like other reviews mentioned before. My husband went personally today to speak to the manager and she told him they have been too busy to call any of us and she still had to talk to the co-founder (her husband) to take a decision about my daughter's situation. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

The kids coach is nice but The owner, she is rude and disrespectful. I will take my 3 kids to another gymnastics.

My daughters love going here for gymnastics classes. The employees are really nice. I recommend this school

The beginner classes have the worst coaches. They speak Spanish to the kids, assuming my kids also speak the language (my kids speak only English). So my kids have told me they are confused and often don't know what they are being instructed to do, but just follow what the other kids are doing. And usually the coaches are talking to each or looking at their phone when the kids perform. And rarely do they assist. This place has been a complete waste of money and my kids told me they no longer wish to take gymnastics. read more

Our little one started about a year ago as a 2 year old in a parent assisted class. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience from the start, and continues to look forward to her sessions. As a parent enrolling my daughter in a toddler class, I understood that meant I would have to participate with her, as it is virtually impossible for one coach to properly and safely assist 5 or 6 toddlers at the same time. My husband and I both appreciated the opportunity to spend time and work with our daughter in completing the exercises given. The coach continues to be wonderful and encouraging, as we have seen our daughter improve and transition into the next group. We were not only looking for our daughter to "have fun", but also for her to learn and participate in a sport she may eventually want to commit to. We happily recommend FGTC to anyone looking for a great gym! read more

Review of toddler (2-3) class: Not a big fan of this class. . . After a brief "warm-up," the coach shows you an obstacle course, and then you (with your kids) have to go around the course (multiple times) for over 30 minutes. It gets really boring, and the course doesn't change much from week to week. After one class, I was bored and after a couple, my toddlers were, too. Be prepared: the coach will not do much. She just walks around monitoring, but you will do the heavy work, the lifting of your kids, etc., so if you have any issues lifting your kids, it's not a good class for you. Overall, the coaches seem fairly disinterested in being there. You also can't expect toddlers to follow an obstacle course (over and over again) perfectly. There should be more free play, more hands-on "coaching." There's also a little girl in the class who has a militant guardian (mother? grandmother?) there with her who yells at her girl as well as the other children. She yelled at my kids for moving a mat, because we should expect 2-year-olds to leave everything exactly where they found it, right? The coach said nothing. One week the a/c was broken (in the summer!), but we still had to pay for the class, even though we left after 15 minutes because it was unbearable. We ended up leaving the summer program half-way through, instead finding activities that were more interesting/stimulating for the kids and me. When I called to discuss my concerns, I left a message for the owner stating that if she was interested in my feedback, she should call me back. That was weeks ago. Perhaps she will read this review. read more

The beginners classes 5-12 is a waste of time and money. For only a few weeks, things looked up when one of my kids had a coach that cared: He worked with them on bars and floor routines, and demonstrated where needed. He also had personality and made the hour fun. He is no longer there, and they are left with lazy coaches, two of whom are constantly talking to each other while ignoring the kids. Another one looks grouchy and when my child is asked to do a somersault or cartwheel, she doesn't assist her, and just looks elsewhere as if she isn't paid enough to be there. They give directions in Spanish sometimes so they are assuming all the kids speak Spanish, but mine don't and that confuses things more. Most of what the coaches do within the hour are immature games like frog hopping, racing to pick up a block, etc. Rarely do they use the bars, the floor or learn any gymnastics skills. I could save money and tell my kids to enjoy themselves at the playground. At least they have more fun there. It's a shame, because they no longer look forward to gymnastics, and what kid complains about going to gymnastics? read more
