Our neighbor alerted us that our outdoor HVAC unit was making a loud noise while the fan was running. When we investigated, it appeared that a snake had become caught in the unit (see photos). We first contacted the HVAC company where we have a maintenance plan, but they couldn't send a technician until Monday afternoon. Since we were concerned about the potential for further damage, we wanted the problem addressed as soon as possible. Based on recommendations from friends and neighbors, we called Family Air Conditioning & Heating around 9:30 a.m. Someone answered promptly and was able to dispatch a technician that same morning. We were given an arrival window of 9:30-11:30 a.m. and received a text confirmation along with a photo and background information about our technician, Ricky. Even better, Ricky arrived within 30 minutes of our call! Ricky was knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. He explained what he was doing throughout the process. After removing the snake's head from the top of the HVAC unit, he thoroughly cleaned the fan blades and vacuumed the bottom of the unit, where the remaining parts of the snake's body were located. He also checked for potential electrical damage. We were extremely pleased with Family Air Conditioning & Heating's responsiveness, especially on a Sunday, and the quality of the technical service we received on such short notice. When you're dealing with an unexpected problem and are concerned about possible damage to an expensive piece of equipment, having someone respond quickly and take the time to do the job thoroughly makes all the difference. We highly recommend Family Air Conditioning & Heating, and we especially appreciate Ricky for his excellent service. We would absolutely call them again!

Disappointing Stay at an Otherwise Beautiful Property…read more The AC Hotel in Naples has a lot going for it: the location is fantastic--walking distance to great restaurants and bars. The rooftop bar and pool are beautiful and definitely a highlight. The hotel itself is new and stylish. However, our stay was unfortunately overshadowed by a serious cleanliness issue and very poor customer service. Our room was filthy. The floors were covered in dirt and hair--there was even pubic hair in the shower, which was beyond gross. We reported the issue and asked to speak with a manager. We were told they would get one for us, but after waiting 15 minutes, we were informed the manager was too busy to speak with us. We changed rooms and ended up staying an additional three nights, and not once did a manager follow up with us, despite our concerns and request for a conversation. This level of service is unacceptable, especially from a Marriott property. As Titanium Elite members, we've stayed at Marriott hotels all over and have consistently had great experiences--until now. The front desk staff seemed indifferent, and the complete lack of follow-through from management was extremely disappointing. With some leadership attention to cleanliness standards and guest experience, this hotel could easily live up to the Marriott name. But until then, I can't recommend it.

We originally hired Presidential to provide bi annual Maintenance for two units on our home. They had great reviews online and very good prices for their maintenance plans. Our AC wasn't working well and the units had not been serviced since we purchased the home. Brett did a thorough service and inspection. Unfortunately our downstairs unit had two major problems, a leak in the coils with no refrigerant and the compressor was completely dead. Repairing it would be almost as much as a new unit. Our upstairs unit was ok except it needed a $250 module. To help us out, Brett offered to include all maintenance fees and repair the upstairs unit for free if we opted to purchase a new unit. We opted for the Lennox Elite with all aluminum coils and the variable speed motor for better energy efficiency and humidity control. These units are the best value for SW Florida. The install occurred a few days later and Brett and his son showed up exactly on time and completely the work with precision and speed. I highly recommend Presidential!

It was a Trane and installed by Climate Control. A man named Rodney gave me a great deal on the unit and they installed it with minimal trouble. Seven years later they came back when I had my first issue. One of the coils had corroded through. They gave me a reasonable price for the repair and because I helped the tech with the install they cut the bill by $200. Just had my second issue. Realized house was getting warmer while unit was running. Climate Control had a tech on-site within 3 hours and kept me informed by cell when to expect him. I think his name was Alex. Great tech who found a heavy wire had corroded through. He installed a new socket fixture and topped up the coolant. Best $162.00 I have spent this year. June/July/August is no fun in Naples without a/c - even for a few hours. I trust this company as a trust few others. They have been fair and honest with me.

A few weeks ago my upstairs A/C was being examined at the start of its semi-annual checkup. The associate notified me that the air handler in the attic was dropping its insulation from within, and this would create a problem with continuing the standard semi-annual checkup. This necessitated scheduling an associate on a different day to basically rebuild the air handler. Understandably this was a long project through the day but was completed to our satisfaction. QUALITY: The different associates whom we have seen over a long period of time have been exceptionally professional and courteous. VALUE: Everyone decides what they describe as value. For us it's the confidence that our A/C units will work through the summer and winter year after year. Having a service agreement gives us that peace of mind. SUMMARY: These people have demonstrated exceptional courtesy (every phone call is a new pleasant greeting, every time). One has to have trust in the service people with whom they do business. For me, these people are very highly recommended.

I told them it should be included with my maintenance agreement which they were 4 months behind. Still wouldn't service. I don't recommend this contractor.
