What a wonderful experience !…read more I booked a flight lesson on VirginExperiences and had no issues receiving information / confirmation after booking, and when I had questions. It was very easy to get to the location once you turn into the street! It was affordable and fun; our instructor Daniel was very informative and easy going! I felt at ease during the whole flight! He was professional and calm which I always appreciate when learning new things because it can be stressful when you know your life is on the line ! You come in ten minutes before your lesson, sign a waiver, fly and if you have any payment left due you should pay at the end, we paid in full through the website. Everything took less than 10min from our arrival to get into the plane! Very laid back and easy experience

This includes a larger fleet of well-equipped and well maintained aircraft, training aids and supplements to guide students along their journey, and a simulator to practice and maintain proficiency. JAXAERO also offers the benefits of a small flight school. The greatest assets that the school has are the people that work and train there. No matter where you are in your aviation journey, no matter your goals or aspirations, you will be treated kindly and cared for at a personal level. Rather than being viewed as a number, like students are at larger flights schools, JAXAERO meets you at your needs and helps you along your aviation journey. Ben and John, who own and manage the company, are present, helpful, and encouraging. The flight instructors go above and beyond what is required to help you succeed. Everyone has gone "out of their way" to help me along my journey. Personal connections with other students can also be made more easily than at a larger school, and you can work and study with students that are in the same phase of training. Finally, JAXAERO is more willing and capable to work with your unique schedule to help you achieve your goals whether your training is a full-time commitment or a part time hobby. I wish that I had found this school sooner, I and would not want to be training anywhere else. Whether you are located in Jacksonville or live many states away, JAXAERO is the best school you are going to find.

When I came across some older reviews, I felt disheartened; however, I can say with confidence that the issues some students experienced in the past have been addressed. Significant changes have and are continuing to be made, and the school continues to improve every day. CMA is an amazing place. Our story is simple. Our daughter felt the Lord leading her into mission aviation and had already earned her private pilot license. She had spoken with a local missionary aviation organization that invited her to join them as an apprentice pilot. However, after much prayer, and after touring CMA, she felt clearly led to move to Keystone Heights and enroll in classes there. After her first quarter, we could not be happier. The school's strong focus on biblical training is outstanding, with knowledgeable professors who genuinely care about their students. The flight training is excellent as well. Nearly everyone at CMA serves on a volunteer basis, with the exception of the CFIs, who provide instruction at a significantly reduced rate. Quite simply, a young aspiring missionary pilot cannot earn their commercial license, and potentially their A&P certification--at a lower cost than what CMA offers. Their goal is for every student to graduate debt-free. CMA is a small school and is not structured like a traditional college. Classes meet at a local church, which also houses the school's offices. The airport hangar is impressive, with numerous aircraft available for training and others undergoing maintenance. This gives students valuable hands-on experience in aircraft upkeep. The CFIs are dedicated, skilled, and deeply invested in their students' success. One instructor told our daughter upfront that he would hold her to a higher standard. She welcomed that challenge, and that mindset reflects the heart of CMA. They want students to excel not only in aviation, but in every area of life. Students live in shared homes (dorm-style housing) with very reasonable rent that includes utilities. The couple who run the school are incredibly caring and intentional about creating a safe, structured environment where students can thrive. They truly love the students like their own children. We have had no issues whatsoever and deeply appreciate the clear boundaries and rules that are in place to protect the students. We wholeheartedly encourage anyone considering missionary aviation to take a serious look at CMA. Because the school is small, students receive excellent one-on-one attention. It may not be the right fit for everyone, but for those seeking an affordable education, a degree in Missions, strong spiritual formation, and lifelong friendships, we highly recommend CMA. As a bonus, Keystone Heights feels a bit like living in Mayberry. There are many wonderful churches and a thriving young adult community connected to them. For students who love horses, there are several riding opportunities as they become part of the community. And on a lighter note, we fell in love with Clyde's Cozy Corner Café and the Pangborn Ice Cream Shop! Our experience with CMA has been second to none, and the future of the College of Missionary Aviation looks incredibly bright. If you are interested in CMA but see some negative comments, definitely ask to talk with someone associated with CMA's leadership to see what they've been doing to fix perceived issues from past years.

I was able to easily maintain my college courses at Riddle while flying with Epic, so flexibility is possible. From dispatch and maintenance staff to Instructors and Team Leaders, every Epic employee exceeded my expectations in terms of a family friendly learning environment. The C-172S aircraft were all in excellent condition, equipped with G1000. The Epic ramp area is well maintained along with KEVB in its entirety, and you simply can't beat its beautiful location in terms of its Class D airspace. However, as a student veteran, I would have liked to see Epic Flight Academy accept VA benefits to allow student veterans to gain assistance in finishing the remaining flight ratings at Epic, but they do not at the moment. Overall, I would highly recommend Epic Flight Academy for obtaining your Private Pilot Certificate, or any other certificate or rating you wish to pursue.

Some of the instructors dont know whats going on and the others are just mindlessly droning on through powerpoint slide shows. I didnt want to pay 47,000$ to be bored to death, I paid for a quality education and quality instructors, which is what was advertised. ive been here for 5 months and all ive learned is that a place like this rips away your motivation to get into the aviation industry. Dont get me started on the housing department either. The same people that own epic own the apartments they use for student housing, one half is non students and the other half are students. The non students (for a two bedroom apartment NOT beachside and NOT in a good spot) pay 1600$ a month, so why is it that the students pay 3200$ a month for the exact same apartment split 4 ways. They cram 4 people in a 2 bedroom apartment and charge the students double. It doesn't take a genius to notice that this is a cash grab/scam. Fuck this place and fuck getting scammed. All the good reviews are for the flight school, for the pilots, anyone can fly a plane but how many people can fix them? Take care of your students and stop scamming them.

Let me tell you that this place is THE definition of deception…read more They may try to make you think it's the greatest school ever with their pretty entrance and their giant campus, but nothing could be further from the truth. What your student will actually receive is a way below par education that the intention behind it is to put them in a position of hopefully mooching off the government (which it's government run, so what do you expect?), rather than teaching them about how to handle the real world. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. IF your student is a dorm student, prepare for them to be subjected to staff members who have no idea how to handle students with disabilities who enforce strict military type guidelines and will subject them to constant verbal abuse and if they're really unlucky, they'll even throw in some physical violence too. I even know about multiple sexual abuses that happened here on top of multiple suicide attempts amongst students and staff members. Seriously, I could write a whole book about what I saw there in my 9 years in this concentration camp. FSDB doesn't care about its students, just it's image, and I'm working to expose it for what it really is.

My child was told the school in our county was the problem and how we would see SO MUCH PROGRESS 3 years later my child is still in the same performance category she was before coming here. On top of not providing the materials these lying fools had the nerve to sit in an IEP meeting collectively claiming items purchased by the family on Amazon. Ellen the principal is so unprofessional doesn't respond to communication. When I called them out on the lies and pulled my receipts they had a blind girl who can't read sign a form saying they gave her the items like that actually holds weight lol what a way to abuse and manipulate. My daughter can't even read she said she was handed a form to print her name on it and the form states she received items yet I was verbally told they are school property. Beware find you a school that cares more about paychecks and begging for funding by making the children desperate failures.
