The problem was the job was messy, and we were out of town - so when we returned and we could see the job as it was finished in real life we could see the mortar work they did was peeling and cracking already, and the "paint job" on the inside of the fireplace seemed to be a spray painted 2 minute job with no care given to our 100 year old brick work - spray paint was even on the coping. I tried calling Dean multiple times - no answer. I reached out to Dean through text and politely told him the issues - no answer. I sent pictures so he could see for himself - no answer. Lovely! I guess they're only fast and responsive until they get paid then they bail. Lesson learned - just get the company that costs a little more to do the job in future.

We made an appointment for this week on Tuesday morning, and she mentioned the technician would arrive between 9-11am. When Tuesday rolled around, the technician called at 9am and said they were on their way. After the cleaning, I requested to pay online, so I was emailed the invoice along with three photos showing proof of the cleaning and the result of what they found. I paid with a credit card which didn't incur additional fees. Very efficient and straightforward. I'm pleased!

My experience with Abbot Construction customer relations was extremely disappointing. Communication…read morewas poor, responses were slow, and when we did receive replies, they were often unhelpful or dismissive. For a company that operates in a service-driven industry, the lack of professionalism and accountability was surprising. Instead of working toward resolving concerns, the process felt frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. Basic follow-up and customer care seemed to be lacking, which made what should have been a straightforward interaction much more stressful than it needed to be. Customer service is a major part of any construction project, and unfortunately my experience with Abbot Construction's customer relations fell well below expectations. I hope they take steps to improve how they communicate with and support their clients going forward.
