Met the cable installer at our weekend getaway home in Astor on July 21st. Paid $106 for first month of service which included the $40 install fee, used my credit card. Brought a router and my laptop with me so I checked internet access, all fine so I head back to our home an hour South of Astor. Received a bill from them on July 28th for $34 and change. Bill was dated August 1st (they can send mail back through time!). Called them and asked why I had a bill, I just paid for a months worth of service a week ago. They pulled up my account and said I shouldn't have received a bill, ignore it. Go up to the Astor house on Friday evening of August 7th with the whole family. No internet service. Checked the pole out front and cable is still connected. Called FL cable and was told the earliest they could have someone out be the following Mon or Tues. What's the point of having cable for weekend visits if they can't service it on the weekend when it goes out? We packed up the next morning and came home. I left the modem on the back porch so the installer can pick up after I call them on Monday to tell them to disconnect the cable. We had Florida Cable for about 6 months, we would be watching a program and it would just go out, then stations would keep getting in and out so went and got dish, then 6 months later got a bill for $200.00 because no one ask that it be disconnected just how many companies would let their service go for 6 months with no payment. As far as i'm concerned they can keep their second rate cable company. read more

If you are moving into one of the communities that will force upon you the joy and wonder of Florida Cable, let me save you a ton of time and aggravation. Get Dish or another TV service!! The other reviews are very accurate. The 25% missing screen is no joke. It's especially frustrating when watching sporting events where you can't see the score or other important information because it's cut off! They have been promising upgrades for what has turned into YEARS. Yet here we are with the same garbage cable service. The internet is a joke. I decided to pay for "faster" internet because it was so slow, and the difference is minimal at best. I have to "reset" or pull the power plugs on the modem/router at least once if not multiple times daily. If you use multiple devices at the same time....just forget it. It's awful. I have had other cable companies that I swore were the worst....including Comcast and Cox. I'd go back to them in a second if I had the chance. Oh, by the way....if you ever have a problem after 5pm....good luck! No one is there!!! read more

Dunnellon Customer. What a joke!!! These guys let their provider contract expire on May 31st. To me that means they didn't have the funds to renew. Today is June 24th and we still have no digital service and they can't give us any idea when service will resume, Regardless of what we're told there are no updates on the web page. We would have closed our account long ago but we are moving and I didn't want the hassle. read more

Do you like high definition TV, high speed and reliable internet, friendly customer service, and competitive prices? If you answered "no" to all of those questions, then Florida Cable is the right choice for you! First let's start with the gentlemen who installed the cable at my home. They "drilled" a baseball sized hole in the side of my house to pass the cable through. You know, a cable that's about the diameter of a pencil. I say "drilled" because it honestly seems like they took a sledge hammer and whacked the side of my house a few times. It's a jagged, crumbling hole that is hardly in the shape of a circle. On top of that, they DISMANTLED MY OWN EQUIPMENT AND THEN TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THE "SERVICES" THAT MY EQUIPMENT PROVIDED. They intentionally disabled and sabotaged my own property in order to try and squeeze out a few more bucks a month. When questioned about it they played dumb. As for the internet, good luck. My internet has gone out four times in the last few hours. You can call them all you want but you'll get some generic excuse (and that's if you manage to actually get ahold of them). Sometimes you'll have a good week where you go the entire week without an outage. More often than not, you get 1-3 outages every 2-3 days. They never update their website, Facebook, or Twitter with updates about outages either. I don't know why I mentioned their website though because if the Internet is out, their website goes down with it. Not only that, but the Internet is slow. 9 mbps is the fastest speed I can get from them at an insane price. And for the cable, well, have fun. On the bright side, because the cable has been so absolutely terrible, I've stopped watching TV all together and started doing other things in my life. So if you're looking for some motivation to start on that new exercise program or to spend more time with friends and family, perhaps this is a good idea for you because you definitely won't want to spend your time trying to watch your television anymore. read more

Well here it is April 5th. It's no longer 12 channels lost. It has been upgraded to 13 channels. Great job Florida cable. It's now April 14, 2016. Lost yet another cable channel. Been out for two days now. It is Great American TV. I think we have now lost more channels then we still can receive. Another problem is the commercials are much louder than the program you watch. Florida Cable is the bestest cable company in Siberia. It's now April 16, 2016. Lost yet another cable channel. We are now at 14 yes 14 channels lost. What the h_ _ _ is going on with is company. Now Showtime is not clear at all and channel 5 cuts out. read more

Have had Florida cable for about ten years now. Almost ever time a heavy rain has come down the cable has gone out. Every since November, we've had to deal with the loss of, or the possible loss of cannels. As of today Wed. May 4th 2016, ( I just sat down and counted) out of a total of only 67 channels, I'm only getting 52 now. That's a loss of 15 total channel that I'm still paying for and have been for months. Most of the channels I'm missing are the ones my family enjoys most. Know That I've tried calling, contacting them on the computer, etc. to no avail. With that in mind, I would be pleased to simply get my channels back and forget the matter. Have Florida Fiber Network, Astor,,FL for TV. Purchased basic set up for $20.00/mo which gave me a good amount of programming. First to leave was chan. 9, never to return, following this another 6 channels disappeared. Under negotiations from what I was told. Now have about 9 channels left and wonder when they will disappear. Florida Fiber Networks is horrible. Only wish we had more cable companies here. This is one of the worst cable companies on the face of the earth. read more

My husband and I own a business ourselves - so I hesitate to say what I am about to say. I am a professional, with old time values. Customer service must have totally skipped over this company. I have tried to give them every break, and be patient. But this is the worst company I have ever had the NON PLEASURE of dealing with in my 50 years. They lie when you call them. When they say they are coming to fix your cable they never come. We have been unable to watch our tv for 8 days. Call the office and get the runaround. Worst ISP in the entire state of Florida. Was paying 56$ a month for 5Mbps down. After multiple tests i was only getting 1.60Mbps with a whooping 350 ping. Their internet service is completely unusable and they are very on point with cancelling your connection the second its time to pay them. After calling their "tech support" and telling them about my horrendous internet speeds they basically tell me that they cant do anything and that the speeds i was getting where "normal". Dropping them tomorrow and hopefully no one has to deal with this shitty company ever. read more

Upon reading customer comments regarding Florida cable service we completely concur with all of the problems identified by other customers. They can now add our comments as one more verification of the terrible experience with this company. If you are in an area in which you have no other choice for service we suggest you read the fine print and beware. We are moving mid month and was oinformed that we had to pay for the full month. They refused to prorate and mouth some nonsense about industry standard policy and practice to not prorate. We have relocated a few times and never encountered a provider who insisted on ripping you off when no service is being provided because you disconnected. Given the myriad of problems we had with them you would think they would be inclined to satisfy you on your way out. We had no intent to be writing a review but this last incident and experience with Florida cables customer service was the last straw. The manger to whom spoke, David Galzerano , could only suggest that we write the CEO, David Suarez via a customer support mailbox...no direct contact information. Mr Galzerano also assured us that the decision would be the same regardless of to whom we might speak! Not encouraging hope for a favorable resolution is it? read more
