Did this office just want to charge me to change out my fillings to composite? Why would they say I have cavities when I don't? Because of this I don't trust them. The also said I should remove my permanent retainer. My new dentist said he sees no reason to since I keep it very clean.

Dr. Ellis strives to keep the natural tooth by filling or crowning and pulling or replacing as a last resort. I've been looking for a dentist that was comparable to my last dentist and I believe I have found him. His prices are very good and getting an appointment within a few days was great , since I had been putting off going to the dentist for a month or more. Upon speaking with insurance, they informed us that this was in-fact inaccurate and to be weary of places that do this to get more money from their customers. Insurance stated that a cleaning is a cleaning, but some places like this one try to say there are other stages of cleanings other than the "basic" cleaning that is covered by insurance. In addition, they are very reluctant to send us our records when asked, and had to be asked multiple times. We have still not received everything we've been asking for, for months.
