It was fun to wander around and look at the old photos and artifacts, plus the downstairs hallway with rooms named for some famous guests who stayed at this old adobe hotel during its wild heyday. Food was pretty good. Had a salad and added a chili relleno for $5. It was very well prepared, although the salad of mostly spring mix, a few cucumbers and tomatoes was not worth $14. Partner had a steak--said it was ok. "Seasonal vegetables" were just plain kernal corn. Giving this place three stars for food, but the historic charm is the real reason to give it a try. The restaurant was only open Thursday through Saturday in February, so check hours if you want to eat. You can also just stop by and take a look in the lobby and parts of the hotel. The staff doesn't mind.

Some of the rooms e.g Jesse James room are open to view from behind a velvet rope. There is a faint odor of Mary Lambert's perfume wafting through the hall way. There is a restaurant with a bar, bullett holes still on the ceiling. 27 people were killed in this hotel in days gone by and anyone that was anyone from the Wild West visited here. A must for fans of the West, manage your expectations and you won't be disappointed.

She had lots of recommendations for the area. Upon arrival, she took us on a tour of the house and gave us a bit of the history. She has a folder that was given to get with some photos during the production of Last Crusade and news articles from the time. That was really interesting. The house is filled with movie memorabilia. The rooms are comfortable. They all have names, and my party for two rooms. I forget which I had, but it had a queen bed and a balcony. The other room we had was the king. Each room had s private bath. The website is easy to use. You pay on the sure, and during your stay, you'll have to pay the taxes. We paid those in cash, she doesn't retain credit card info. It's a quick walk into town to restaurants.

Now owned and hosted by Sabra for the past 7 years, there are so many cute and strategically placed reminders of the movie and the series. From the (Indiana) Jones sign on the mailbox outside, to the Double Doors inside from the set, to the In Search of the Holy Grail cups carefully aligned on a shelf as you try to find the Carpenters cup, this place puts a smile on your face. Great breakfast, great conversation and customer service by both Sabra and Alex. Loved my stay and you will too!

This place is tucked away with a couple of other hotels and ski-focused businesses. Our room was nice and large, including the bathroom. You were able to see the mountains from our room window. Since it was near the end of the tourist season, there weren't very many people staying there. Additionally, they have a parking garage at the bottom of the building which requires a code to access. They also had a restaurant and bar that we didn't take advantage of since the bar is only opened seasonally. There was a rec room with TV, pool table, foosball table, and piano. My only problem with this hotel was there was no air conditioning. I understand that most of the time a/c is not required given the area but it would have been useful. Having the window open didn't fully cool down the room. There was a box fan in the room, but it was so loud, you wouldn't be able to sleep it with it on. I liked where this place was located as it was near some walking trails. Also the stray dog cantina is right across the street (you can see my review). I will definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to others.
