As a joke, he calls it his "white elephant gift", (A white elephant is a possession that its owner cannot dispose of, and whose cost, particularly that of maintenance, is out of proportion to its usefulness.) I know he loves it though and has a very strange sense of humor! I am a very selective designer myself and have ordered flowers from so many other resources only to have been disappointed with their lack of freshness, style, flower selection, and arrangements. I wanted something unique, live, masculine and gorgeous, and found it with Yukiko's designs. I could have picked up Safeway flowers and done myself for 1/3 the price - AND the flowers would probably have lasted longer.

I interacted with Sachi, the shop owner, who despite having a lot of work to do assembling her unique and beautiful custom floral arrangements, came out to greet us and patiently answer plant purchasing and care questions. I ended up getting a plant here in a unique modern terracotta pot called "El Rancho" by LBE Design, designed by ceramicist Angela Nicole Drew and produced in Mexico, and a delicious smelling candle. This is a clean & organized retail shop, they have a real eye for curating and merchandising, and they sell some of the healthiest plants I've seen in a while. They are generous with their time, to talk through optimal care, and do a nice job here getting a plant ready for gifting.

I needed a tropical bouquet for our jet quickly and to make the situation more complex, I needed this to be delivered to a private airport on a weekend morning and my over the top request was coming in to Dawsha LATE after hours! I had gotten a referral from a friend of a friend because I grew up near here in Northern California and she had done amazing things for events and it was, IMO, a long stretch! I reached out figuring , 'what do I have to lose?' Those of us who work in these types of arenas are met with ALL sorts of situations ALL the time.. IF I get told 'no' or ghosted.. I will move on! Dawsha totally surprised me and responded to me on my work phone IN MINUTES of my request!!! MOREOVER, her florals to my tropical need was beyond my expectation and GORGEOUS!!! EVEN under my budget! I was blown away! To have these types of florals available to me for this pop up trip on a weekend, after hours, and delivered to a private terminal on the 'fly' was mind blowing and it truly alleviated a LOT of stress and worry for me. They lasted while we flew to the Hawaiian islands and popped around between them at altitude which is pretty rare. I changed out the water every day and treated them kindly.
